The City of Sasserine is recovering from a century of oppressive rule. The thieves guilds have been destroyed and many unsavory elements eliminated. It is a place of opportunity for the prospective knave and a heroic battleground for the prospective knight.

(1) You are recruited by a desperate noble of the city of Sasserine, one Lavinia Vanderboren. After her parents recently perished in a freak accident, she inherited a large number of debts along with the rest of the estate. Yet her real problem is not financial, but personal.

Split the coin for sure. Maybe we should each take the cure potions in case we are in a jam and the Cleric is not near us. Barkskin would be helpful for Kat and the Invisibility for Garn. Maybe Dain should keep the elemental gem?

Mahath will buy a scroll of enlarge person, a scroll of magic weapon and the inks necessary to add them to his spellbook. He'll save the rest of his money for now.

Garnstn is hoarding his cash at this time, but would contribute to a CLW wand or similar group items if needed. He does by two alchemist fire just in case he runs into something that he can't make bleed.

I do think if we're going to be more successful we really have to work map-based tactics better. If Garnstn isn't getting flanks he can't really do his job, and he needs other people to be careful of their movement and help him set up those flanks.

Garnstn is a rogue with the second lowest AC/HP combo in the party - he is not a tank. I'm doing all I can to set up combats strategically but everyone else seems to be keeping their characters away from combat. Its not working.

Yeah, that about sizes it up. I can't imagine how Mahath could get away since he doesn't have Liberating Command. I had hoped the color spray might at least stun it for a round, but the dice must continue their fervent crusade for our demise.

I won't give up unless the GM wants to call it for Mahath, but I'll start looking at a back up character as well.

No. The things that would be helpful to us, I doubt he would know.

Even though Mahath is neutral, he isn't amoral. I do support trying to get him out of here, reward or no reward. Right now Mahath is just trying to be practical and keep us from getting surprised while it gets worked out.

In hindsight, I suppose we should have brought a wheelbarrow with us. How else would we have brought Vanthus with us after we captured him? I mean, this is a rough part of town, but we'll be taking him to a good part of town and carrying bodies over your shoulder raises eyebrows.
