Tomorrow in-game, I can prepare an extract of identify, and I should be able to make it with a total +19 to my identification roll. Minimum CL identified=> 5th.
I don't think there's much that Tam needs, unless the cloak turns out to be useful. He's good for a melee weapon (APE FISTS OF FURY!) and has a nice crossbow to use, so he's good for that.
Re: Parchment. No clue what the levels mean, that's what Gylwinth had listed. I don't see any difference. I'll just change it to Parchment x11.
I think he planned on scribing scrolls at some point.
As far as the goods, current claims are:
Joe:
nothing yet
Eltumal:
nothing yet
Silent:
Crossbow (& bolts?)
Tam:
Nothing
Jivaji:
Switch Comp. Longbow(+2) for MW Comp. Longbow(+2)
Arrows x100
Torch x2
Potion of CLW x2
Trail Rations x9
Sunrod x2
MW Thieves Tools
Crowbar x1
Rope, Silk(50 Ft)
Caltrops x1
Marbles x1
Chalk x1
Earplugs x1

*Jivaji only cares at all about the bow, which to be honest, he could take or leave. If anyone else wants to claim something, by all means do so and Jivaji will not object. Plans are to move as much of the goods as possible tot he mule, so that Fazmir can be ridden again.
Shano, just so y'know, you've got a PM waiting for you.
Javell DeLeon(Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness)
I get home from work and see 43 new posts in this game! I'm like; "Daaaaaaang Gina!" Fortunately, it was mostly James coming up with different possible reincarnations for Eltumal. ;)
I wanted to extend a formal thanks to you guys. This is my fastest moving online campaign and it is thanks in no small part to you all. I have s real good feeling we will be making some headway.
Oh and don't worry. I won't MAKE you guys fight any vampires stronger than this girl. She is CONSIDERABLY weak compared to the other Vamps present in this jungle.
Just don't leap recklessly to the offensive when you meet them.
I'm accepting a new job, one that I don't think I can post from work at. I have a few days left, so I can keep up for a bit, but I may be out of commission starting Monday.
I don't get much time to post from home since I'm way too busy, so that's... pretty much gonna be it for me. :[
Hmmm. That's unfortunate, man. Hope it's at least a good job move. :)
And now the other shoe drops. In mid June to early July, my wife is having our second child. I can tell you from experience that's going to mean somewhat of an absence from my perspective from the birth until ... well... whenever we get our feet back under us.
So with JIvaji's absence and mine (whenever that happens), you're looking to be down two crew-members in a game where Shano said he wasn't interested in recruiting any more.
Sorry, guys.
Javell DeLeon(Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness)
Hey fellas, real life is real life.
Gruuu, congrats on the new job, buddy!
And Eben, congrats on the future new little person in your life! That's awesome!
I, myself, don't have any such news, but I have a long weekend coming up. Saturday through Monday, my posting will be little to non-existant. Should be good to roll back on Tuesday, though.
It's been fun running with you, Jivaji! (It's fun running with all you guys, I feel this is a good group, but I only mention Jivaji 'cause he's leaving first.) :)
Indeed. Congrats to both. We'll miss you, definitely, but we'll figure something out.
The only news I've got is that I'm going to be trying to switch to polyphasic sleeping this coming weekend, and the week after that, my posts may not make much sense. The first adaptation week is basically sleep deprivation.
I've got one maybe, and I have yet to ask the other one I have in mind.
Javell DeLeon(Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness)
That's cool. Most of the folks I know, have been asked to previous pbp's and declined due to being too busy. So, get all you can Eltumal! If worse comes to worse, then I'll see if there is anybody.
I'm gonna play the wait and see game. Now remember, Jivaji's gone on Monday, but Silent is suppose to leave around June, I think it was?
So, I think we just need one for now. Or do you want to add them both asap, Shanosuke?
Just a reminder, posting for me tomorrow thru Monday could be tricky. Long weekend for me, so, if I don't, then you'll know why.
Speaking of which, Shan, how do you want Jivaji to exit?
I'm not opposed to someone jumping in using Jivaji, though I know most people prefer to roll in on their own characters.
I'm...pretty much out of time left to post now anyhow. I'm headed for bed tonight, and my entire Sunday is booked already, and then I start new job and hit PAX East next weekend!
Anyway, it's been a damn blast playin with you guys. This campaign has been a lot of fun. I hope I get a chance to roll with any of you in the future.
Hey, I'm the maybe Edgar mentioned.
Just posting to show interest :D
He's trying to get me a link to the recruitment, and once I get there, I'll give you a couple of character ideas/full builds.
I'll try to make it so I'm not throwing off party balance.
Jivaji, it's been a pleasure gaming with you. Hopefully, we can game together again eventually; you were a blast to play with.
Javell DeLeon(Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness)
Take care of yourself, buddy! Enjoyed it!
What's up, Damien? Nah. I don't think whatever you come up with will throw us off-balance. We're gonna be fairly short-handed, so, it should all be good with whatever you decide to roll with. :)
Rolling for gold for my class ideas
Ranger 5d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 1, 6) = 12x100= 1200g
Barbarian 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) = 15x100= 1500g
Cleric 8d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 4, 2, 5, 4, 5) = 31x100=3100
Here are my Character Concepts:
CG Half-Orc Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager), putting as much into Constitution as possible. Campaign Trait choice: probably Town Watch
CN Orc Ranger (Bow, composite of course), I've actually already got a bit of this character written out, I'd be glad to write more for this campaign. Campaign Trait: likely Mountaineer.
NE Half-Elven Cleric (Undead Lord + Separatist) Cleric of Nethys who believes that Death given Life anew is the culmination of knowledge. Campaign Trait: Darpuul Well-to-do.
More info about any of those characters, I'd be more than glad to give some or write a lengthy background. I'm going to make each character in HeroLab.
Also, I know that an evil character (especially a necromancer!) would be looked at with suspicion by any party, but what I had in mind for him was more of a 'must have all knowledge!' kind of guy that is so appropriate for a priest of Nethys.
Lemme know what's up, and if anyone has a preference for what they'd like to see.
Decided on full blooded Elf instead of Half-Elf for this character
Lelorenil was raised by a human named Morgan, though she was not his mother. She was an elderly priestess who served no one deity, but the community of Darpuul, a place where Morgan felt at home attending to the sick and needy. Her 'adoptive' son had been one of those who needed a home, left alone on the streets by the people he traveled with, arriving from the west fleeing Mormont's annihilation after his parents had been cut down. She raised him as any proper mother should, and he took to her love of charity and loved her like he would his birth parents.
Years went by, and Lelorenil grew into a proper young man, respected by many for the work he did with his mother. Nobody lives forever, and Morgan's time came when Lelorenil reached the age of 17, still a child in body and mind. He felt as if he was nothing without Morgan, Lelorenil knew nothing of living on his own or how to be a part of the community without her guidance. He shut himself in, pouring through dusty books and tomes that might give him the answer. Several years of secrecy and neglect of himself passed, and suddenly the people around him noticed a sudden mood change.
Lelorenil had devoted every moment possible to secret worship and devotion to Nethys, the god of knowledge supreme. The young elf thought that perhaps the answers lied in Necromancy, and he felt that the darker side of Life was an answer to all of Darpuul's problems: the return of his Mother, an army to destroy Mormonts, and an endless work force to fill the needs of the city.
The answers were finally given to him, and Morgan's body moved once more, though the flesh from her body had long since rotted away. The city would disapprove, and though Lelorenil was overjoyed at having his guide in life returned to him, he knew that he must hide her. And so he built an attic to keep prying eyes from taking Morgan from him.
A dozen years passed, and Lelorenil had put himself in the same place that his mother had before him: caring for all in any way that he could. When situations stressed him to the point where he had no answers, he spoke to Mother (though she did not actually respond) and took her advice.
Donations were given to him on a regular basis, and though he spent much on things for others, many people insisted that he take 'this' and 'that' to spend for himself.
Eh...I'm sorry for the general scattered-ness of that, but I'm distracted at the moment, and I've never really been great at writing coherent stories.
I was going for a sort of 'young boy goes mad and reanimates his lost love' kinda thing.
If you'd care for me to put in an 'escape' story, I can come up with something for that.
In general, here he is! Let me know any questions or concerns.
Sorry for not posting much. I do not have a computer right now so I do not have access to my campaign material. For now I think this cleric will work for our game
Welcome aboard Damien.
Jivaji, as far as departure goes I was thinking a dramatic death. I like Jivaji but I do not believe in passing around characters. He could just disappear like he did last time too. I will role play it out when the time comes.
Sorry for the delay in uploading my character, apparently when my computer reset for updates the other day, I had forgotten to save my character's HeroLab and text file, so I have to start from scratch.
I'll try to get him on tonight.
I would like to have two holy symbols: One Holy, One Unholy. I'm a priest of Nethys, and his sign is the black/white mask. I'd like the two symbols to fit together, Holy being the white portion and Unholy being the black.
I would like to be younger than standard elves (50-60 years), so that Lelo would look childlike to a human (around 12-14 looking). I'd have to modify the above story a bit to change the amount of time referenced.
I would like to stress that I decided on True Neutral cleric of Nethys, and chose Positive Channeling, to sort of represent his background of a caretaker/healer.
If there's a problem with points 1 and 2, please let me know while I can still make adjustments.
Other than that, statblock will be going up soon :)
