Not a problem. Bolkvar is 11 squares off from the nearest troll and he has to round a corner, so he's not charge-enabled.

Also I missed that Hakon beat the bad guys in init, so he gets his surprise action and a regular one at the top of round one. Go nuts!

Round 1
Hakon bursts in to the room and charges the first foe he sees, cutting at it with his blade with a roar fit for the foes of Heaven. The roar moved none, but his blade did its work. Almost instantly the troll began to heal.

Bolkvar rushed up just behind Hakson. Ranek, being towards the back, needs line of sight and so he moves further up, next to Ariyana. Aldon nods at his allies. He breathes deeply and begins to summon aid for the group. Both sword's drawn, Barra breaks straight for the small goblin.

With the battle upon them, Ari takes a deep breath and adjusts her grip on her bow. Stepping into line of sight of one of the trolls, Ari pulls back her bow string to its limit. If these were child-killers or even just child-kidnappers, Ari has no plans to show mercy. There's only one way to deal with such creatures: to put them down.

The arrow flies perfectly from Ari's bow and soars toward its target. The shaft lodges in the troll's body almost up to the feathers of the shaft. Ari seems a bit surprised with herself. She had expected the arrow to hit, but hadn't expect it to hit that hard. Ari reaches for another arrow, knowing it will take more than one to fell all the evil beings before the party.

Marcus boldly enters the room and bellows, "By the Truesayer this den of evil will be cleansed!"

Thurvek leaps into action, turning the corner to a double move toward the skeletal monstrosities, brandishing his holy symbol. The power of the Father of Battles had no sway over the two skeletal collections.

Hakon spins, Shield and Sword raised and unleashes a roar filled with the power of the True! He follows up the roar with a wicked cut from his sword and a bash from his shield! He slashed into the troll again, but then the giantkin was upon him. The one he wounded took him in both claws and heaved, almost tearing the paladin in twain!

As Hakon collapsed, the other troll rushed by to meet Bolkvar. The dwarf ducked beneath a claw and dodged the troll's slavering jaws, but caught a claw to the side that nearly slipped between his ribs and tore several free.

The bone creatures surged forward, one clawing Barra while the other closed with Thurvek and tasted his blood with dozens of bone fingers.

"Die! Die screaming!" the goblin shrieked, presenting a mummified, clawlike hand that looked like that of a dwarven child covered with red paint. "Scream for Malar Beastlord! Scream as your blood flows!" Barra felt a sudden mad rage kindle in his breast and an agonizing, guttural roar tore from his throat. Blood rushed past his lips as he howled. It only took a moment before the compulsion passed, but the prayer took its toll on him all the same.

Bones are immune to the roar.

Drat Hackon is 5' too far away for Marcus to heal him this round. Anyway he's going on a rescue mission, or perhaps a suicide mission.

Marcus' eyes almost popped out of his skull when brave Ser Hakon was damn near ripped in twain. A single thought dominated, 'I've got to save him... GULP!' For a moment he prayed, "Lord Torm I have need of your guidance. Ser Hackon has need of your guidance..." Knowledge and stratagems for dealing with Trolls blossomed in his mind. He gave the troll that Ser Hakon fought a penetrating stare as he advanced, singling it out for retribution.

Swift action: Smite on the Troll Hackon was fighting.
Move action: Martial Flexibility to gain Dedicated Adversary: Troll
Standard action: Move around the trolls while fighting defensively. AFAIK you can combine the two. That gives Marcus AC 25 vs it and AC 22 vs the other troll. If you can't combine them then both ACs drop by 2.

Aldon's construct finally materializes, perhaps it was because they were so deep underground, perhaps it was because Aldon was not entirely on board with this decision, whatever the reason battle had been joined and blood spilled.

Marcus' heart sank when the Troll moved to meet him, not because he was scared of dying, rather because he couldn't reach his friend Ser Hakon who was bleeding out on the floor in front of him. Marcus knew he had to slay the troll before he could come to Ser Hakon's aid, he knew also that to stay in close range of the Troll was folly. As he swung his sword instinctively, he thought, 'More than my life is on the line here, By Torm may I strike true!' His sword flashed as it cut cleanly through tissue sinew and bone, exiting with a spray of blood over the wall!

OK so Marcus may eat an AOO here, but the toll can't full attack so that's almost certainly a win. Also Hakon is within 30' so with luck if Ranek can finish it off, Marcus can heal Hakon next round. May the dice bot be with you Ranek!

No wonder the previous adventurers failed when they arrived, she thinks to herself.

They need to end some of these monsters and quickly.

Apparently Ari's previously failures had a lingering effect as her first arrow this time around also fails to connect. Getting into a groove, she manages to strike with her second and, pulling from her ki, a third arrow strikes true as well. Still, would it be enough? Only time would tell.

I'm at work, so I can't access the battle map, but Ari's going to stay where she is or only take a 5 ft step in terms of movement. With Deadeye Bowman, cover shouldn't be an issue.

Thank you!

Bolkvar leapt forward, bringing his foot into the troll’s knee. As he did so he focused his ki, the magical energy that infused him, so that his foot was as hard as stone. He heard the familiar sound of bone’s breaking. But what he wasn’t used to was his enemy regenerating the damage. Rather than falling as expected, the troll stumbled, and then lunged at the dwarf, it’s maw gaping open. As fast as he was, there was no way for Bolkvar to dodge out of the way in time.

Rather, he stumbled back and shouted a word of power. A shield of stone shot out of the ground, interpolating itself between him and the troll. It roared as it collided with the barrier. Shards of rock flew everywhere as it savagely tore the solid rock apart. One could only imagine what it would do to mortal flesh. It was at that moment that Bolkvar realized he had a choice. He had time now to flee. To get away from a creature that could kill him in but a few seconds. And who could blame him for that?

Just as the barrier fell apart, Bolkvar cleared his mind of the doubts and forced the attack once more. He brought his fist square into the nose of the troll. The punch was hard enough to dent steel. The beast roared in pain as it stumbled backwards, eyes watering in pain.

”Come on then! Let’s see who breaks first.”

Now Let’s see if I survive the next round. AC 24. If the troll rolls 24->28 use another stone shield.

”Come on then! Let’s see who breaks first.” The troll staggered under the dwarf's onslaught, but pressed its assault all the same. One claw almost landed before a new stone barrier sprang into place to stop it. The troll Ranek blinded stumbles forward, its great nose working, until it almost bumps into him and Marcus.

Many raking fingerbones taste Thurvek's blood again while the other bone creature moves on Barra, who dances out of their path. The goblin swears an oath and prays once more: "Malar Beastlord hunts you now!" A dozen invisible mouths took bites from Barra's flesh. None of them alone would have much troubled him, but together with his other wounds they pulled him bleeding to the ground.

Bolkvar, seeing his flames help one comrade, pointed a finger at Hakon. ”An’ ye! Stay with us lad!” It was all he could do and he hoped it would be enough. He then hurried over to his Dwarven kinsman to give what aid he could.

With the Trolls felled, for now, Marcus rushed past the sparking column of light to come to Ser Hakon's aid with a fervent prayer, "Ser Hackon fell doing your work, Torm and he desperately needs. Please help him, I beseech thee!"

A nimbus of blue light surrounded his hands, and where he touched Ser Hakon wounds vanished along with the glow. He was still badly wounded but was out of immediate danger.

Glancng back to the trolls, Marcus warned, "Best put those tolls to the flame or they'll come back."

Looks like Barra needs help! Marcus will head south next round.

”Acid works as well,” Ranek says, moving away from the one he’d struck last time. Corrosive Touch does acid

Standing next to the other slain troll, Ranek cast a quick cantrip to fling a gob of acid at it.

Acid splash on the other troll to prevent regeneration.

Ari steps a bit further into the room. She still feels helpless to save her dying allies, but places her faith in Ilmater's mercy and in her allies' abilities. The best thing she can do is continue felling the foes before them. The sooner their enemies die, the sooner Hakon, Barra, and the rest can recover.

Aiming at one of the bone creatures, Ari switches to blunt arrows, suspecting that they'll prove more effective against their skeletal frames. One arrow hits. Then another.

Ari takes a deep breath. She doubts her arrows will end the battle, but at least her aim is getting more consistent.

Aldon? Thurvek? Sorry I've fallen off the saddle here. Been playing tag with a cold.

FYI, I forgot to post last time that Thurvek was still in the throes of his rage. I forgot to add the rage modifier for the last post, my bad.
Thurvek's spirit is torn. His lust for combat is at odds for the sounds of falling comrades that need his administrations.
I need to end this quick! I need to END THIS NOW!!!
Still in melee with the bone golem, Thurvek lets out a battle scream of anger, and slams the warhammer's head through the monster's mass, and down to the ground in a primal overhead smash.

”Acid works as well,” Ranek says, moving away from the one he’d struck last time. Standing next to the other slain troll, Ranek cast a quick cantrip to fling a gob of acid at it. The troll's flesh ceased its knitting.

Aldon's Construct moves towards the flank of the Bone Golem and attacks, pounding into its side. Meanwhile, Aldon sends a final fire strike at the other of the trolls, slaying it!

And Hakon is conscious now so I'm going to break the round and let him act.

Hakon is at 0 and disabled

Hakon is up!
