Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

"Woden?" Oomlowt said as a smile spread over his scaly face. "Thank the gods you're alright! So I take it we won, eh?"

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

Gird looked over pretty boy's friends, and groaned internally. A wimp and a kobold. Looks like Gird was going to be getting many more arrows in the shoulder.

Oh, we won all right. Now, isn't there supposed to be some sort of reward?

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

Smiles as his allies come to greet him. He walks forward still in clear pain.

"I've seen better days but I am alright. Oh! Right we should probably find Oleg and Svetlana again. Thank you for reminding us Miss..."

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt winced at the continued barrage of light on his poor retinas as he tried to make out which of the two shapes had utter that sentence. "I believe I must repeat my ally's query," he said to the larger of the two shapes, "Who are you, ma'am? I don't believe you were with us when we first undertook this quest of extermination."

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan notices blood on both Woden and this still nameless half-orc's clothes, and his expression instantly becomes concerned.
"Oh no..! Are you two hurt? Or is that bandit blood? Do you need me to heal you? Me and Oomlowt figured you might be pretty OK Woden... But I got stabbed in the stomach with a sword. It's OK though, it was cool. I've never been stabbed in the stomach with a sword before!"
Garhan seemed to totally ignore the reward for now, he was just so thrilled about the battle.

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

Gird sheathed her sword, and once again massaged her shoulder. Damn, this hurts. I shouldn't do this again.

"It's Gird. Paladin to Erastil. I guess I should ask for your names, pretty boy and friends."

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

"I'm Garhan! Garhan Ghaidos!" Garhan introduced himself, smiling happily, but Gird's shoulder massage caught his eye.
"Are you wounded, miss Gird?"

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

"No, This arrow is symbolic of my devotion to my god. And the blood is a metaphor for my sins."

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

A bit worried at Garhan's excitedness of being injured.

"I can safely say this is my blood." Woden replies to Garhan before turning to Gird, "A pleasure to meet you Gird, and I go by Woden as my allies have stated."

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt furrowed his brow at Gird's words. What a grisly way to sho devotion! Why, back in his tribe they merely showed devotion by disemboweling a lesser creature, like gnomes or halfling! How masochistic these tall creatures were. "You truly are devoted, Ms. Gird!" Oomlowt said with a smile. He extended his hand outward in the most friendly manner one could extend a scaly grasping talon. "I am Oomlowt Schwaa, scholar extraordinaire and professional explorer!"

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

"Uh, are you sure? Because if it is a wound instead of what you said, I can heal it for you", the tiefling said, staring at the arrow on Gird's shoulder.
However as Woden said he is defenitely injured instead of in the middle of some religious ritual, Garhan turned to him.
"Oh dear, and there's so much too! Wait for just a second, Woden!"
Garhan reached his hand to Woden and touched his cheeck, since at least this area of the elf seemed to not be covered by clothes, and used his healing hex on Woden.

Hex - Healing 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

Not only are they weaklings, they're also idiots. They don't understand sarcasm.

"It was. A motherf******. Joke. Of course I'm hurt!"

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

Stars awkwardly as Garhan reaches up to touch him. A healing touch flows through him.

"U-Uhhhh, thank you Garhan...now I think it would be best to heal Gird..."

Woden does his best to not really look directly in his eyes.

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt watched his three companions with a great deal of confusions. Humanoids sure were weird!

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Oblivious to Woden's uncomfortableness, Garhan lets go after the healing's done.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I've never really met talked with a paladin before, that could've been true..! I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
Garhan flailed his hand around - the other hand was still occupied grasping his staff - and the tiefling walked up to Gird, reaching his hand to touch the small patch of exposed skin on her shoulder. The tiefling couldn't really even reach higher without tip-toeing. In any case, he got to touch Gird's skin, so the healing should still work.

Hex - Healing 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

Gird shuddered at the tingling feeling of growing flesh, then smiled. Much better. This one may be an idiot, but at least he can heal. Stepping away from the short man who healed her, Gird gave her new companions the once-over. Maybe things weren't that bad? They had managed to kill a bandit or two...

" So, Garhan, Woden, and uh, Omlot, was it? You three know each other or something?"

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt's eyes squinted as he tried to make out more details of the giant shape talking to him. This Gird person sure was tall! He felt his innate fear of tall things overwhelm him with every passing second. "It's, uh, Oomlowt," he said quietly. "Oomlowt Schwaa."

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan was very pleased his healing seemed to have worked well on everyone, so at least everyone wasn't dying or bleeding anymore. That was good, very good. The witch took a few steps back from Gird, establishing his own place in this discussion circle.
"No, we haven't met before this... At least I haven't. I met you all here", the tiefling explained, nodding by himself.

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

"Right then, Omelet, Garhan, thank you. Going back to that reward..."

Gird never had been a master of subtlety.

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

"Reward? Oh right! Reward!"
Seems like the thrill of the battle had already been enough for our poor little tiefling.
"Uh, yes. There are these two people, Oleg and Svetlana, who asked us to kill these bandits. They're in there", Garhan explains, motioning at the building Svetlana and Oleg are in.

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

"Actually my name is..." Oomlowt trailed off as his eyes focused a bit more, allowing him to make out the more orcish features of the tall woman. "Yeah, no, that's ok. Omelet's fine."

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

"Well the sooner we inform Oleg that we're finished, the sooner we can move on then." Woden states as he walks toward the building where they are, "Come on then."

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

"Sounds good. Gird follows after Woden. "Is there no one else here?" Dear Erastil, I hope not...

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan decides to follow Woden, but only now seems to remember that Oomlowt told him he can't see well in this light. Before setting off, Garhan turns to Oomlowt.
"Hey Oomlowt, how are you holding up in this light?"

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt smiled at Garhan. "I'm doing my personal best, old sport!" the kobold said as his eyes watered slightly. "But I'd really prefer it if we could get indoors for a spell. Could... could you make sure I get to the door please?"

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

"Oh, of course! It'd be horrible if you ran into a wall!"
Garhan walked to the building and stayed at the door, waiting for Oomlowt to get to the door before he'd go inside as well.

Meanwhile Calanthe fell asleep in the stables again. In case you're wondering.
She doesn't mind sleeping next to dead bandit bodies and a big dog at all.

When you come into the house, Oleg thanks you in a relieved, but gruff manner. As reward for defeating the bandits, he allows you to keep any of their gear, as well as free run of the guest house. He also provides a reward of 50 GP and all three of the potions in his stockroom: Two potions of cure light wounds, and a potion of shield of faith +2

Bandit's Possessions:

All of the bandits are carrying two days worth of trail rations and 10 GP. Happs on the other hand, has the rations, 35 GP, and a silver amulet of a stag's head.

Oleg also supplies you with the beginnings of a map of the surrounding area, figuring it might help you on your quest to explore the Greenbelt. He wonders if you would rather rather leave right away, or rest a night.

Regardless, there are a few wanted posters about that you hadn't noticed before.

WANTED: Bandits:

Task: The bandits in the Greenbelt need to be
shown that their actions will not be tolerated.
Capture or defeat at least six of them to send
a message.
Reward: Once bandit activity is noticeably diminished
the swordlords will send a reward of 400 GP.

WANTED: Tatzlwyrm:

Task: The way everyone talks about tatzlwyrms,
one might think they’re swarming throughout the
Stolen Lands. This isn’t the case; they’re actually
quite rare. A tatzlwyrm head would be a great
conversation piece at Oleg’s.
Reward: Oleg will pay 600 GP for a relatively
undamaged tatzlwyrm head.

WANTED: Kobolds in the Hills:

Task: The Sootscale kobolds dwell in a cave
somewhere in the Kamelands. Normally not a
problem, they’ve been riled up by something lately.
Find their lair and ensure that the kobolds aren’t
going to continue being a threat.
Reward: The swordlords will send a reward of 800 GP
once the kobold activity is under control.

Greenbelt map

What do you do?

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

"Hmm," Oomlowt said while stroking his chin. "Didn't Oleg say there were more bandits that threatened this post originally? Perhaps we should finish that job first. What do you think, chaps?"

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan is checking the wanted posters, newfound concern reflecting from his face. He was happy about defeating the bandits and getting rewards and everything, but like Oomlowt just pointed out, there were more bandits about.
"Yes, I agree. I said this yesterday, too, but those bandits are going to notice that their comrades aren't coming back."
The tiefling scratches his neck ponderingly.
"I think we better deal with them first. Possibly surprise them if we can. But in any case, they're the only threat that might come after us immediately.
I don't think they'll be coming here right away or anything, though, so unless any of you have anything against it, I'd enjoy spending the night here. Good night's sleep and food surely wouldn't hurt.
"
The tiefling started to feel like he'd been talking too much, so he decided to shut his mouth and wait for other opinions. You get a habit of running your mouth when you always talk to goats that don't talk back.

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

"Yeah, taking a nap sounds like a good idea!" Oomlowt said. "Then we'll deal with those bandits and just, y'know, forget about the kobolds and demi-dragons. Who needs them, anyway, right?" The kobold rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders while smiling nervously. "Oh, and I'll just clean up those bodies in the courtyard. Leave it to me! Don't get up."

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan didn't say anything about the demidragons or the kobolds. He didn't really know kobold society that well, so he didn't know if these Sootscale kobolds would be Oomlowt's family or anything. Regardless, he didn't really want to talk about slaying kobolds to him.
"Oh, wait Oomlowt! Do you need help? The sun is still bright as ever."

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

"Oh, uh, thanks chum, but that won't be necessary!" Oomlowt said with a smile. "I'll just get Woofles to help me. He's good for that. You guys stay here and rest up! We'll need you in tip top shape if we're going to slay those bandits tomorrow!"

Oomlowt walked outside and cursed loudly in draconic as the sunlight hit his eyes.

Draconic Curse:
"Sweet bloody hell, my eyes! My beautiful eyes!

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

Sighs, being reclusive from the conversation again, and steps outside to assist Oomlowt.

"I'll gladly help you out my friend, do not be so independent. We're all in this together after all," Woden stated smiling.

Woden also stood in a way where his tall figure cover Oomlowt from the sun that was causing him distress.

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan watched after Oomlowt, still worried even if the kobold told him it would be okay. The tiefling shifted his eyes to Gird and Woden.
"So, uh, what do you think about this? What should we do?"
Oomlowt's loud curse can be heard inside the building, though, stealing Garhan's attention. The tiefling felt a grasp in his stomach. He hadn't realised the light really hurt Oomlowt's eyes that badly! And just now when they were outside Garhan had just stood there next to Oomlowt doing nothing..! He felt terrible. The man licked his lips nervously and exchanged a quick stare with the paladin and the ranger.
"Uh, I think I'll go help him anyway.", Garhan said swiftly and almost ran out the building. He quickly spotted Oomlow and Woden - not that they were all that far from the door anyway - and hurried to the kobold's side.

"Oomlowt!"
The tiefling looked at the ground, ashamed of his earlier behavior - not that he should be though, he really doesn't know anything about kobold eyesight - and spoke.
"I, uh, couldn't help but hear you scream just now. Uh... Sorry, I don't want to intrude or anything but... If you want to borrow my cape and use the hood to shield your eyes, you can. I had no idea your eyes were so light sensitive."
As the tiefling speaks, he lifts his hooded cape over his head, shakes his head to get his hair back into order, and presents the cape to Oomlowt.
"You... Don't have to take it if you don't want to. Gah, I'm so sorry if I'm being stupid. I'm not that good with people but I just feel... Horrible for not knowing about your eyes!"

Apparently Woden already standing there coolly and offering help in a much less embarassing way didn't stop Garhan from being all embarassing and awkward. This man must feel no shame.

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt waved his hands frantically in blind pain. "No, really friends, I'm fine!" he yelped in common while his red eyes somehow got redder. "It's not really that-

Draconic Cursing:
"Bleeding hell my retinas! Nothing's ever hurt this badly!

"-bad!"

Slowly his eyes adjusted under the shade of Woden and Garhan. "Whoa, that actually helped!" Oomlowt said quietly. He was now rethinking his plan to loot the corpses while his friends weren't looking. This was probably worth splitting the gold. "Thank you, pals! Hey, I've got a swell idea! Let's loot these corpses while we're out here!"

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan still held onto his cape, offering it to Oomlowt. Oomlowt's horrible scream made Garhan shudder in sympathy pain.

Draconic Piece of Dialogue:
"I can hear your screams just fine, Oomlowt."

The tiefling was happy the shade his and Woden's bodies gave off seemed to help Oomlowt, but he still wanted Oomlowt to know that his Draconic cursing wasn't... So secret.

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt looked at Garhan with shock. "Wait, what? Did you...

Draconic Conversation:
"...just speak my language?"

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Draconic Conversation:
"Yes. I know a few languages other than Common; Draconic is one of them."

Garhan quickly threw a look at Woden, as if to ask if he could understand the spoken language as well, but swiftly turned back to Oomlowt. It would be rude to not look at someone when you're talking to them!
Draconic:
"So, uh, yeah... You don't have to act like this light doesn't bother you."

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Draconic Speech:
"Eheh, yes, of-of course. Bu-but it's not exactly something I'm proud of! Why, one might even call it a crippling flaw!"

Oomlowt frowned and groaned quietly. "Kobolds are supposed to be strong," he muttered quietly in the common tongue.

Female Half-Orc Level 2 Paladin

Gird watched the other's escapades with the sun with concern. At least they care for each other.
After hearing the kobold's comment, Gird snorted. When had she ever been the one to take the higher moral ground?

" Have fun looting the bodies boys!" Gird waved cheerily at them, then turned and walked over to the building Woden had indicating, waiting just outside the door.

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan waved to Gird as he heard her voice, but didn't turn his eyes from Oomlowt.
"Isn't it stronger to admit when you need help than trying to do everything by yourself? Oh, wait, that sounded kinda silly."
The tiefling scratched the back of his head, hoping his overly friendly lines didn't make Oomlowt uncomfortable.

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

Smiles as he pats Garhan on the back.

"Hahaha, it might have sounded silly, but it was profound nonetheless my friend! And also..."

Draconic:
"I can speak Draconic as well my friends!"

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan looks up to Woden when he pats his back, and as the elf speaks Draconic, the tiefling's face lights up.

Draconic:
"I was wondering if you would!"

Garhan grins stupidly, like he would've just discovered his new friends shared his secret language, or something childish like that.

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt smirked. "Well, aren't we an unlikely trio? I can't believe we all speak draconic."

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

And then many corpses were looted.

"Right," Oomlowt said. "We have 115 gp, trail rations to feed each of us for two days, and a silver stag thingy. Let's see how we can break that down..."

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

"Hmmm..." Garhan does a few calculations in his head.
"That's not an even number... How much is this stag head thing worth, does anyone know? I'm afraid my own knowledge of these kinds of things isn't all that vast."

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

Oomlowt looked at the stage head REALLY HARD!

Appraise check:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Male. Tiefling. Level 1 Witch.

Garhan takes a second look at the stag head, really intensively, hoping it would reveal its secrets to him if he stared hard enough!

Appraise check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Male Kobold Rogue Level 2

"Well," Oomlowt said while wincing at the light the piece of jewelry reflected into his eyes, "In my professional opinion, this is definitely worth some amount of money."

Male Elf Level 1 Ranger

Is everyone staring at the tag now? Is this the thing that is currently happening? Woden takes a look as well...

Appraise Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
