Welcome Karma!

I'll post pregens here when I have them, then you can pick/fight over them. (Could roll-off if there's an issue)

I imagine rules-wise we'll be helping each other out quite a bit. I did read the whole core rulebook PDF over the last couple of days, so have a good feel for it. It's pretty close to Pathfinder. Main differences are action economy, and stamina/HP/Resolve.

I'm happy to post rules section/explanations as they come up in the game.

Haven't got the Core rulebook Yet...Australia is still waiting on our Pre-orders *grumble, groan, grumble*, but I have been following the blogs so I have a fairly decent idea of the main changes.

If no one objects I would love to play a technomancer..and If someone does object, then we could always fight to the death :-P.

BTW, the pdfs for mystic level 1,4 and 8 are wrong (showing mechanic instead), but the "All levels" pdf has the correct pregen.

I can't access the pdfs at this point, so i'm just going for what sounds nice (i want to try domething new anyway). I'll take envoy, unless you recommend something different


I was reading the SFS Guild Guide last nite and noticed that it referenced the Starfinder Online reference Document similar to the PRD (paizo.com/sfrd).

Anyone have an idea when this will be up?


I'm hoping on the 17th when they release... but don't now that.

I have a few initial clarifications after scanning my character sheet:
1. Raia has a Thunderstrike Sonic Pistol with 2 batteries (20 charges each). The Gear description on page 2 says that the pistol can be fired 10 times before it's battery needs to be replaced or recharged.
Does this mean that each shot takes 2 charges? I also assume a move action to change a battery...correct?

2. The description for my 'Overheat' spell says " This spell deals 2d8 fire damage to creatures in a 15-foot burst" but has no range. Is the burst centred on me or on a point I designate (if so how far away)? likewise for Grease and ghost sound...no range.

Ok, trying to lock down who is here... looks like these are the aliases I've seen on the registration and associated aliases I've seen here... and the current preference for playing. We can either have to the two operatives of different names, or pick a new class, Twilik was first to pick Operative.

1a. Yes... in the weapon table it says 20 charges, usage 2 (two charges per)

1b. Reload is a move action (unless you have the Quick Reload feat)

You cover a solid surface with a layer of slippery grease. Any
creature in the area when the spell is cast must succeed at a
Reflex save or fall prone. A creature can walk within or through
the area of grease at half normal speed with a successful DC
10 Acrobatics check. Failure means the creature can’t move
that round and must then succeed at a Reflex save or fall
prone, while failure by 5 or more means it falls prone (see
the Acrobatics skill on page 135 for details). A creature that
doesn’t move on its turn doesn’t need to attempt this check

What starship roles is everyone thinking for themselves? Iseph is pretty much built to be a pilot.

Iseph as a pilot makes a lot of sense (ace pilot and all). I'd see Navasi in something of a commanding role, with her inspire abilities.

As for Starship roles Raia would fit quite nicely into any except the captain role. She has +14 computers, +11 engineering, +9 piloting (4 ranks in each) so Ill happily slot into pilot, gunner, engineer or science officer depending on everyone else.

Question.....the ship stats you gave us say it has an AC of 13, but the CRB says ship ACs are dependent on the number of ranks the pilot has in the piloting skill.....if our pilot is Iseph that makes our AC atleast 14.

Or do we add the pilot ranks to the initial AC13 to get final AC?

There are no requirements on GM stars or number of tables...
