Swarzs-bot maneuvers around the asteroid field, forcing the vesk ship to enter into the supernatural mine-field or perform some risky maneuvers.

That should place us 12 hexes away from the vesk ship with an unobstructed shot between our forward laser (3rd range increment) and turret coilgun (in range).

If I'm a little slow during combat feel free to bot me for a round, I should be able to stay at once per day posting but I am working tons this week and usually won't be able to post until late at night. I'd prefer it if you held off on rolling Piloting for subsequent rounds until prompted to do so, please, just so the flow of combat doesn't get too muddled.

The shot fired from the light laser cannon slams into the asteroid, causing a brilliant explosion that shoots molten rock into the neighboring area. The magma quickly cools and floats off into space. Luckily, the Pegasus maintains a safe distance between herself and the fiery rock.

Data Breach

A beam of bright green light fires into an asteroid, causing a chain explosion of the two neighboring ones. Red and orange light flickers brightly along the Pegasus' metal sides as the molten-filled cores disperse.

With the asteroids out of the way, Faraeon fires the coil gun, a huge iron shell breaking through the Honorbound's front shields and causing an explosion that rocks the vesk ship.

"A fine shot. Let us repay the favor in kind," Captain Yuluzak replies over the comm.

You do crit on a 20...the rule books says that the attacker rolls a d100 and whatever the result is, depends on what systems begins to glitch. I am not sure if the GM rolled it for the crit

Zatheses' laser shot slams into a slab of space junk, but Faraeon's aim is spot on, the ferromagnetic shot causing the Honorbound to shudder violently as its front end is damaged again.

Ratatatat pushes the engines to full thrust moving the Pegasus into what looks like a direct collision course with the Vesk freighter. The speed of the Pegasus is quicker than the damaged Vesk ship however and as the Pegasus' port side slides by the Honourbound Ratatatat cuts the ship at an almost impossible angle to the port side and drops the Pegasus right under the belly of the Honourbound.

Pilot: Flyby DC18: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 1 = 28

Flyby attack: The ship moves as normal, but it can move through 1 hex occupied by an enemy starship without provoking a free attack (as described in Moving through Other Starships). During the following gunnery phase, you can select one arc of your starship’s weapons to fire at the enemy vessel as if the vessel were in close range (treat the range as 1 hex), against any quadrant of the enemy starship.

Target all guns at the forward shields guys and lets finish this off!

Pre-post before our Science Officer 0689 goes. Just want to get it out there.

As Ratatat throws the throttle into full gear and the Pegasus screams past the opponent's ship, Faraeon calls out with glee, "Yeehaw, here we go! That's the pilot we all know and love!"

Coil gun: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 2) = 8

The excitement takes over, however, and Faraeon's aim suffers as a result.

Data Breach

Captain Yuluzak watches in awe as the Pegasus neatly flips on its axis and ends up behind the Honorbound. Despite the coil gun missing, you hear the Honorbound power down its weapons.

The radio blares static, and then the strong, familiar voice of Captain Yuluzak sounds. "We would like to officially declare our surrender," he firmly states. "It is unlikely we will be able to outmatch your piloting skills, and with two of our systems running amok, the winner is clear. The beacon is yours. Congratulations." He applauds your success.

"The Honorbound will pull away soon to affect some necessary repairs. Good luck with your mission. Oh, and, here's a little prize for your accomplishment."

A pod shoots out from the underside of the Honorbound, and the Pegasus pulls it in. Inside the cargo pod is a set of golemforged plating II armor, and a squad machine gun.

After the Honorbound pulls away from the asteroid belt, you get to work scanning the space rocks from which the signal originates. It only takes about a half hour before you find beacon lodged into a hunk of rock. Using the decoder provided by Zigvigix, you're able to easily crack the encoding.

You play back the recording, and this is what you hear.

Ehdd offers up high threes to the crew as the Honorbound heeds his advice and gives up "Thank you Captain. We will be sure to spread the word of your chivalry and honor."

As the pod of goodies gets pulled into the docking bay he hits the ships comm button "What's in there? Woah! Leave it to the Vesk to send over some huge armor and weaponry!" Maybe I should learn how to use that stuff... sure looks cool.

After playing back the recording Ehdd's antennae go wild "Looks like we're on to our next lead gentlemen! Power up those engines!"
