I'd like to heal him. We did make a deal with AbadarCorp to haul him away. I have no means to help him out.

Sorry Albans, I missed that. A bit of minor retro. But even without the magic missile, Talbot would still have gone down. Sorry guys, wasn't able to monitor the game today. Should have jumped in earlier.

No worries! Not a big deal either way. If Alice is close enough and willing to make a stabilize check, great. If not, or if it fails, Albans will use his healing serum (I'm thinking Albans' alignment might actually be chaotic good; I never really know a character's alignment and personality until I get a chance to play them).

Albans walks over to Talbot and retrieves his emergency healing serum, standing by to jab it into him if needed. "I can understand the desire to let Talbot bleed out," Albans says while unconsiously rubbing at his wounded arm, "But this man, traitor that he is, is one of ours and it would set a poor precedent if we let him die unneccesarily. If for no other reason then for appearance sake, we should save him if we can. Let the Abadarians handle the dirty work, I say. Hell hath no fury like a banker cheated."

Hudathan stands by and watches. I really should learn to practice field medicine.

Alice 002 quickly approaches Talbot's dying body and whips a cloth handkerchief from her pocket and presses it against the largest wound. "This is unfortunate," the android comments in her monotone voice. "You over-calculated your strength. I suggest you reduce your accuracy by 24 percent next time."

As Alice does her thing, Eli keeps looking for the stone. "I think I got it!", she exclaims audibly, as she pulls out the stone from Talbot's belongings. "I think, at least. It looks unassuming. Someone of you, erm, spiritually adept folk might check whether it's the real thing?"

She looks puzzled after Albans' comment. "What's all this talk of Abadarians?"

Madrigal goes into her pack and hands Alice one of her healing potions. "Here, give this to him."

"You've healed the monster? Good. Now, let's get him out of here before any more fanatics come along. No more innocent lives must be lost. " With that, he scoops up Talbot in a fireman's carry and begins taking him out of the face. "We'll interrogate you on the way back, traitor. "

Year of Boundless Wonder

Albans and Madrigal prepare their healing serum, but Alice's first aid skill eventually stops Talbot's more serious wounds. He would take some time before coming around, but at least his condition has stabilised.

Not wishing to attract any further attention from the townsfolk who might not look too kindly at the Starfinders lugging their unconscious saviour around, you make arrangements to meet up with Philt at a nearby abandoned mine.

"Ah, looks you won have won the competition in the end. I have heard good things about the Starfinder Society in the past, and its seems despite the unfortunate Scoured Star incident, the Society has picked itself up quite rapidly. I concede to you to your greater effectiveness." Philt smiles as he gestures to this bodyguards to take over Talbot from Hudathan.

Just before he exits though, he continues, "But something good might have come out of this, though. Even more than the improved relationship between our organisations. My employers were rather impressed by the drive and loyalty the townsfolk demonstrated, however misguided it might have been. AbadarCorp has long considered the construction of a shipping hub outside of Maro. Such a facility would keep cargo destined for transport throughout the Pact Worlds away from Maro’s ... hmmm... less reputable hands. My employers believe, and I concur, that fine hardy people of Tasch could serve to staff this shipping hub and provide infrastructure for guards, pilots, and corporate employees. And of course, such construction would also mean gainful employment for all the townspeople, undoing some of the damage this scoundrel has caused, partly in the name of the AbadarCorp. And it seems your organisation as well. Well, I am glad that our paths crossed, and together done some good for this community. Good day."

Your return back to Absalom Station and the Lorespire Complex was uneventful. Captain Arvin was delighted that the mission was success, and you hand over the stone. "Fantastic! You've retrieved it! And while he was unscrupulous, I am pleased you did not eventually had to put him down. After AbadarCorp has unleashed the full force of international law on him, he might wish that you had!" He admires the stone a bit longer, then adds, "Give me about an hour to secure this then meet me at the lobby. It's about time I brought you out for drinks! You've been to the Wounded Wisp?"

The End. Sorry had to drag out the last bit out a bit. Need to confirm if you were going to keep Talbot alive as it affects the final chronicle boons. :)
