Beta is amazed by this show of emotions, why would all these people fight to get something they will be able to obtain?

Buffeted and battered, Beta manages to help its fellow Starfinders get to the vendors.
Seeing we it can acquire one for itself, and curious about what music an android would want so much, Beta purchases a copy: "50 hard earned Credits for this?".

At the warehouse, Beta powers up the flashlight on its armor, for those with inferior vision to see better.
Then it steps into the warehouse, moving to the side and looking around, pike gripped in both hands.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 9

reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Mother-One makes it to the front easily, dodging some of the fleshbags as they purchase a copy before taking one for herself, Once purchased she would upload it to the cloud right away before smirking and listening to it as she makes her way towards the warehouse. Following Beta she makes her way into the warehouse, eyes adjusting to the conditions.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Sure, Conrad purchases a copy.

Once a tthe warehouse, Conrad slowly turns his gaze everywhere he can see, "You know, in the vids the heroes always search places when they're dark. Can we rank the lights up here?" Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Sebrir absolutely buys himself a copy, for his viewers of course.
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

The armor doesn't make a lot of sense for Sebrir, as he tries to stay out of combat most of the time.

Same for Conrad.

I'll take +2 AC for -1 check penalty.

Rifle slung over its shoulder, Pike in both hands, flashlight on so the others can follow it and see, Pangea-Beta moves along, crosses over the debris, and heads towards the smaller vehicle, looking around, to see what is up in this place...

Conrad takes out his azimuth pistol and assumes a bladed stance.

Glitch follows along with the others, around the middle of the group... not drawing her pistol, but ready to if necessary...

Sebrir follows as well, already starting to load his new digital album into his videopad.

Panbgea slips forward, noticing a large feathery pile in the middle of the "nest". He has the feeling that it is watching him...

Beta raises its pike in the air, motioning the others to be careful, and then points the pike to show what it sees.
"Some kind of bird nesting here..."

Colthan will then double move at half speed.

Colthan sneaks behind it. It looks like a giant feather duster, with eyes. Surely anything quite so cute couldn't be harmful...

Conrad rather comically holds his blaster up and points to the muzzle with a a finger and a shrug...

Sebrir looks at the creature and tries to determine what it is.

life science: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 My theme knowledge reduces the difficulty to identify rare creatures by 5.

Sebrir and Colthan both identify the creature as a feather stalker. This one appears resistant to sonic attacks and have a long reach...

Are the sentient? Are they rare?

They are not especially smart so far as Colthan is aware, and they are somewhat rare, and agressive. And illegal on Absalom station.

Presumably everyone had time to move to a spot they wanted to be in. Once everyone is in place Colthan will start things off by moving up a bit and taking advantage of his hidden status to shoot the thing with his newly acquired pulsecaster pistol.

@GM Aerondor: are the squares with the yellow oval I placed Diff' Terrain? (I imagine the one in front of this Feather Stalker is?) - to see if a charge is possible through those 3 squares?
Can Beta have taken one Guarded Step forward before Colthan opens fire?

The stuff scattered around the floor does indeed make it difficult terrain.

Once weapons start blazing, Conrad will start shooting. He takes up a an angle and lets fly twice with his pistol (EAC)

and barely misses Pangea with a wild shot that veers off to her left.

Sebrir loudly proclaims what the creature is and any information he knows about it, including that it is resistant to Sonic attacks and has a long reach.

Conrad lands a single shot, and only narrowly misses with his second. The feather stalker seems unhappy but is slow to emerge from its nest.

I'll play that as a surprise round.

Conrad, emboldened by his attack opts for more. He shoots wildly, "Kill it! Whatever it is!"

Beta trudges through the debris, crunching cables and snapping circuit boards under his heavy boots.
He comes up to the feathered beast, and jabs at it with its pike.

Glitch twitches slightly, then takes another shot when her hand is steadier...

but between the distracting facial tic, the targeting system glitch sending random signals to her hand, and the fatigue beleaguering her, the shot goes wildly astray.

Though he fails to fool the creature.

Conrad fires twice, narrowly missing the first time, but scoring a definite wound with the second. Pangea then hits the thing with his pike. This feather is one tough duster though, and it fights on.

Glitch fires off a quick shot, which misses, but Colthan manages to also wing it.

Having moved she raises her pistol and takes a shot at the creature

"Viewers, you can see that we've come upon a rare and vicious creature. We'll try to subdue it without killing it, but if it comes to it, we will defend ourselves!"

He'll then move forward 30 feet and pull out a frag grenade.

Mother drills the feathery creature with her pistol, while Sebrir keeps his not-quite-live-yet audience up to date.

The overgrown feather duster lauuches a series of quick attacks at Pangea leaving him bruised but not bloodied.

Continually missing with a a shot, Conrad opts not to rush anymore as the party wears the creature down: Azimuth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 for Fire: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Mother-One once more takes a shot at the creature

Pewpew lazers: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Sticking to the shadows Colthan hopes to land the shot that will knock the bird out.

Unaware of where Colthan's shot truly came from it id flatfooted vs the attack.

Conrad shoots, and this time hits the creature, the smell of burning feathers fills the air. Mother's aim is put off by the burning and she misses badly. Colthan tries a trick shot, but the feathery thing proves too tough for his shot.

Furious, Beta swings its pike in a long sweeping arc, and then backhands it back at the Feathery Alien.

The long sweeping arc bites deep into the "bird".

13 damage - maybe 16 but I doubt so

Just want to double check, It has an EAC of 14+? Because the 11 was vs flatfooted.

EAC is indeed better than 13.
Pangea swings and hits, once. Making a bit hole in the creature. Surely it can't keep this fight up much longer.

Glitch aims again this time with an energy ray of acid

And with a chill that even its feathers cannot protect it from, the Feathered creature falls to the ground, frozen solid.

At the door a crew of security guards burst into the warehouse to secure it. Further back you see Zigvigix emerge. He slips over to you.

"Well done everyone. I have some gifts for you, but it looks like you won't be needing them.."

He has some grenades and a suit of armor, but as this was the last mission... you don't have any immediate need for them
