GM DevilDoc |
Ecstatic, Ekkie squeels with joy at the sparing of the dogs lives. Once they have eaten their fill, Ekkie cautiously leads each dog down the hall away from the party and releases them. Once she has released the last one, she bounces back to the group smiling and chattering.
Having seen the mangy pups off, The party continues down the tunnel, eventually coming through to one final chamber. From around the corner, you hear goblin voices.. and something bigger nastier and obviously in charge.
"Hvar eru þeir ? Þú óhæfur heimskingjar hafa brugðist mér aftur!"
Pierre Viret |
Pierre whispers to Ekkie:
"What is he saying? And who is it?"
Ginko Nakami |
Ginko whispers to the others, mimicking the tone of the bigger, nastier voice.
"He said, 'Where are they? You incompetent fools have failed me again!'"
-Hush- |
Glad you're quite finished, Hush thinks sardonically when the others join him at the end of the hall. He motions for them to follow him as he continues, looking for the source of the voice.

GM DevilDoc |
Hush stumbles as he peers around the corner, and the voices within suddenly quiet, before a commanding voice snarls through the air, this time in common.
"It seems that our Visitors have finally arrived! Come into my chamber, that we can treat as equals!"
-Hush- |
Hush curses himself for being so careless. Strangely eloquent goblin... Shortswords lowered but readily available, Hush walks calmly into the room. His demeanor betrays none (or little) of his surprise at such an elaborate room inside a goblin lair.
GM DevilDoc |
Theadus and Hush walk into what appears to be a throne room, and see a huge bugbear sitting on the throne, flanked by two goblins. The bugbear calls out again
"I know that there are more of you out there! Show yourselves! Come in here and I am sure that we can work out a deal that will work for both you pathfinders and myself! We are just another guild, after all!"
Pierre Viret |
Pierre comes in proud and tall, followed by Ekkie. I guess
He clears his throat before speaking.
"Greetings, Guild Leader. My name is Pierre Viret. We came in peace and have made the best we could to not hurt your people. May I know your name?"
All in his body language suggests that the cleric wants nothing but peaceful relationships with the bugbear.
Diplomacy, Improve attitude: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 + 4 = 26
Ginko Nakami |
Ginko scratches his beak, listening to the voice as he tries to get a feel for how up-front it is being, and whether he has any ulterior motives.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
GM DevilDoc |
Pierre, I need you to place your token where you would like to stand, please.
Ginko=You get the feeling that not all is well or right.
"I am Inoklar, the Guildmaster of the Nightsoil Marauders. One of you come forward and treat with me.. You have cut your way through my entire guild... forgive me a few precautions."
GM DevilDoc |
I missed Theadus' perception roll. You see something on the floor.. It looks like it is a trap.
Ginko Nakami |
Ginko shakes his head, sighing. He then addresses the bugbear.
"You can finish this charade. We are no fools. You have no intention of resolving anything peacefully."
Pierre Viret |
Pierre as he makes his path forward, gives a surprised look at Ginko.
What he says, though, makes him change his tone. He frowns and scowls at the bugbear.
"Is my friend telling the truth? Are you toying with us with no true will of getting a reasonable bargain? You have shed blood and spread theft all around the city! Choose redemption now or perish in the holy name of Iomedae!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 2 + 4 = 24
GM DevilDoc |
At Ginko and Pierre's declarations, Inoklar surges forward from her seat on the throne with a curse. "KILL THEM!!!! BRING ME THEIR HEADS!!" she cries.
"Ekkie! Attack them!!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
Inoklars' order may be countermanded with either a higher diplomacy check or an intimidation check. Pierre: depending on how these rolls turn out will determine which of us "Controls" her.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Ginko Nakami |
If Pierre has succeeded in convincing Ekkie, Ginko will proceed as follows.
Ginko pats around for something, finally producing a scroll.
"Ah, here we are..."
He furrows his brow as he reads.
"Listen to your instincts. Open your heart and be at peace. Breezes-Still-and-Ripples-Cease."
Bless for everyone

Ekkie falters for a moment, but finds her strength within Pierre's convictions. "You a bad bad person, and I no help you anymore!!" she cries out at Inoklar before immediately hiding behind the party.

GM DevilDoc |
Theadus roars in the goblins face, shaking him up a bit.
Ginko casts Bless on the group, while Hush brings up his horribly frightening visage again.

GM DevilDoc |
Colt reloads his pistol and fires again at the gobbie, striking it a massive blow.

I don't quite know what Ekkie is ready to do for us/Pierre, can you make her act, GM?
GM DevilDoc |
I can act as Ekkie, but since you beat the DC vs Inoklars' intimidation roll, she is all yours.. and I forgot to tell you that she picked up two of the alchemist's fire flasks back in the lab. So I can take her for this turn just to speed things up, but she is a willing and capable friend. I guess treat her as an animal comanion for lack of better rules ATM.
Ekkie runs forward to help the companions battle her *once* idolized almost-master. Remember, you caught her in the middle of her initiation into the Marauders
Stepping over the unconscious Theadus, Red goblin makes a move towards the preoccupied Pierre and manages to slice his arm.

Yea I was gonna say, I'm really confused lol. And once Blue made his Will save, he's now immune to the sanctuary effect.
Hush takes the time to put out the alchemical flames-- much less theatric than what he was hoping to inspire against the goblin, but probably better in the long run. Then, he continues his assault.

Thanks, GM. It's just that I don't have her stats :) is she a CR 1/3 (warrior 1) goblin?

I thought I mailed that to you when you were talking about keeping her after the game as an acolyte. I will mail it again.

Though his way to Theadus is blocked, Ginko takes comfort in knowing that at least the tiefling has been stablized for the time being by Pierre.
Ginko moves back and then begins casting Sleep.
Move action to move, then standard action to begin a 1-round cast time spell to be finished with another standard action next round.
Colt Bastola |
Colt hastily reloads, and fires again at the goblin.

Theadus is still healing up, while Hush goes on the offensive. He neatly ends the fight for the blue goblin with a well places sword stroke.
Ginko begins to cast another spell and Colt tries his pistol again, but misses.
Inoklar steps around the column and gives a mighty roar! Swinging her horsechopper over her head, she attempts to demoralize the companions with her dazzling display.

Sorry, I just took my supper as it's beginning to be late. I didn't forget to make her act. Thanks for reminding me, though :)
Greatly shaken by Inoklar's display, Ekkie gathers what strength she has to go to the fight, on Pierre's side. Her swing widely misses.
