Ginko scrunches himself up as he pushes through a small break in the wall, revealing just how thin and scrawny the old crow is underneath the plumage.

Escape Artist: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16

Though his armor hampers him slightly, he is able to push through.

Move action to move into the Manor Outer Wall square, then standard action to bypass obstacle, if I have it right.

Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Hush reaches the wall and tries to grab a handhold, but is unable to find one.

Escape artist: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (9) - 5 = 4

Pierre arrives at the wall but his armor is way too heavy to let him pass.

Seriously, I have no way of succeeding this unless I roll a nat.20...

Ginko: Yes, you have it correct.
If someone would like to "Assist" Pierre over or through the wall, I would be willing to permit it.. the more creative and better RP'd it is will increase the bonus to his next roll. Lets see what yall come up with!

After much effort, Theadus is able to clear the wall. As he lands on the other side, he sees the goblin and makes a mad dash for her.

I will go ahead and delay Colt.. this round he may take two actions
Seeing most of the party clustered at the wall and Theadus right behind her, Ekkie pulls something off of her necklace as she turns towards the wall
Throw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Suddenly, a great blossom of fire blooms up from far to the side of the party grouped at the wall. The crowd screams in terror, and begins hurtling every which way to escape the explosion as bits of dirt and debris begins to rain down. Ekkie, suprise and wonderous facination painted on her face in glee and extacy, abruptly falls/sits onto her rump.

Ginko cringes at the explosion and the cries of the crowd. As he walks out into the busy street, spies the goblin.

Ginko casts Daze DC 16. If she has more than 4 HD, it doesn't work.

Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Ekkie is distracted from the explosion for a moment by the approaching bird man, but then her eyes glaze over and she just falls backwards.

With the goblin subdued, Theadus strides forward and picks the creature up, hoisting her into the air by her ankle.

Pierre, still before his wall, wonders what are these explosions.

Sorry guys, yesterday went to hell in a handbasket, and I had some papers to write in my class this morning.

Theadus strides up to the senseless little bugger and dangles her in the air, where she hangs limp for a moment before coming to. Her eyes widen and she squeeks in panic as she takes in the ugly visage leering at her from mere inches. While holding her upside down, a tattered backpack falls from her shoulders to the ground.

Hush manages to climb the wall in time to see Theadus holding the little goblin, squirming, by one ankle. Did she take something?

Unable to understand the goblin gibberish, Theadus snarls and bares his teeth at the dangling creature as he hisses "Silence, you little wretch! We will decide your fate shortly."

Pierre, understanding there's no more hurry, takes his time to climb the wall.

Theadus continues to keep the goblin suspended at arms length as he reaches down with his other hand to pick up creature's fallen bag. Once the rest of the group has assembled, he motions to them with the bag, indicating that someone should search it.
Any takers? I only have the one hand free and don't want to lose the goblin.

Pierre seems more interested in the goblin than in the bag. He puts one hand on his hips and the other strokes his beard.

"What do we have here! A cute little goblin. What a surprise! How did you find us, little one? You sure have some skill to hide and sneak, we nearly couldn't tell you were here..."

While he speaks, he starts to glow a little from a white and calming light.

"May I ask who sent you? And why you were... collecting informations about us?"

Diplomacy (Enhanced Diplomacy and Touch of Glory): 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 2 + 4 = 35

Pierre casts Enhanced diplomacy and uses his Touch of Glory domain power.

Ginko sits down next to Ekkie, his legs folded.

Diplomacy Assist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Holy hell Pierre.. you just won yourself a lapdog!

Hanging upside down, the goblin pushes her tattered dress up out of her eyes, not caring about her multicolored bloomers being shown off. "Cute? You think Ekkie is cute?! Ekkie kind of like old man too.. he cute too."

At Ginko's words, she turns to him with a frown. "help yous help me? you got bird brains with your feathers? you make no sense." Ekkie adopts a stern look as she crosses her arms across her chest "You let me down, Ekkie maybe helps yous all." However, she says the last through the tatters of her dress as it falls back over her face.

Is she speaking Goblin, or Common?

She is now speaking Common since that's what Pierre charmed her with.. she is bilingual

Behind his mask, Hush smirks. Not much of a threat after all. Who knows, maybe our little chase just now'll prove to be the hardest part of this assignment.

Still not fully convinced of the goblin's allegiance, Theadus brings the creature's upside-down head level with his own and snarls "Help us how? Start making sense!"

"You mean to help us? Glad to hear that!" Pierre says with a broad smile. "I assume your name is Ekkie, right? My name is Pierre. Nice to meet you." he says with overwhelming confidence.

He turns to Theadus to say "Friend, I believe Ekkie really means to help us, you could make a move by letting her down on the ground."

Yeah, this character is based on diplomacy :D

"Ekkie do anything old man wants." she says with a fawning look at Pierre "But Ekkie no like ugly man thing. Put me down!" she exclaims with a pout.

Theadus snarls once again at the goblin and stares at her for a long moment before dropping her (not setting her down, but dropping her). With his other hand free, he begins to look through her bag to see what she stole.

Ginko chuckles as he pats Pierre's shoulder.

"You have a new friend, I see."

Ginko looks to Ekkie.

"Would you like something to drink while we are having a chat? I have tea, but if you do not like that, I am sure we could get you a nice snack from the manor."

Ekkie looks at Ginko with her head tilted, trying to discern his intentions. She shrugs her shoulders and says "Sure. Ekkie hungry thirsty. What yous offering?

Pierre answers Ginko with a quick laugh.

"Yes, it seems!"

The cleric looks then deep in the eyes of the female goblin, handing some of his trail rations.

"Here, eat this, it'll help. Now, you didn't answer me about what you were doing in the inn."

Are we still in the middle of the street, or have we moved someplace more secure?

Ekkie eagerly grabs the food, and through a mouthful, she replies "Ekkie here trying to be a marauder! Nightsoil Marauders inititation is to steal from yous Pathlosers. Even out in the swamp, we heard stories about the Nightsoil Marauders-a gang of goblins in the longshanks city. When Murg tried to bite off my ear-again!-1 left the swamp and came to the city to join up. I met some other goblins outside
the city and they sneaked me inside. They took me through the smelly tunnels and made me wait outside their lair. An important-looking goblin with a big, dangly hat came out and stared at me. He said his name was Versevosh. I thought he was the boss, but he said that the big boss is much scarier than him. Versevosh said rude things about me and my tribe and said I'd have to prove myself if I wanted to join the gang. He said I'd have to steal shiny things from a tribe of longshanks in the city. He showed me drawings of what to look for."

Theadus finds in the backpack: potion of blur, potion of cure moderate wounds, wayfinder, masterwork thieves' tools, Goblin skull, horse meat rations from the Mariska Knackery (3 days' worth)

Might I remind you all that no matter where you are, you are all in close proximity to a goblin.. a GOBLIN THAT SOMEHOW MADE A REALLY BIG BOOM!!!!

If we're feeding her, then I imagine we've moved this conversation back to the lodge.
Theadus holds up the wayfinder for the party to see and scowls deeply at the little goblin, but holds his tongue as it seems others have a better handle on the situation than he. Once back at the lodge, he sits and listens to Ekkie's story without saying a word. When she's finished, he asks "So, little thief, what is it they sent you to steal? Show us the drawings."

Pierre will calm everyone in the streets and say loud enough for anyone around to hear:

"Don't worry, the Pathfinder Society handles the situation. We'll take care of this goblin!"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 11 + 2 = 14

At the lodge, Pierre lets Theadus ask questions but then adds a gentle nod and reformulate the question in more diplomatic terms.

The gathering crowd looks warily on as Pierre tries to assuage them, but they do nothing to interfere in pathfinder business. As the pathfinders depart, they can hear the calls of the guard getting closer but none are in sight as they move back within the compound.
As Theadus examines the wayfinder, he sees a name inscribed on the back: Joadric Heimur.

In answer to Theadus' question, Ekkie replies "Da pictures.. theys look like this.." and she draws out a pathfinder and the Glyph of the Open Road

Theadus looks at the picture before remembering the name inscribed on the back of the wayfinder. He looks again to the goblin and asks "Where is the man in this picture now? What have you done with him?

Sorry, not a person.. it is a picture of a wayfinder. My mistake.

Hush holds out a silent hand, palm out, against Theadus. Take it easy. He points at Pierre. Let him do it.

Pierre smiles broadly and carries on the discussion "Well, I'd say that a goblin like you is not fit for this guild, whatever it is. You deserve better." He opens his arms as a welcoming gesture.

"You said yourself that these goblins were really bad with you. We try to look for them and make them apologize in the name of Iomedae, don't you think? You'll just have to show us the way and accompany us on the way, a task I believe you are well fitted to do, little one!" says the cleric still on a warm tone.

Ginko kneels down in front of Ekkie, as a parent might do when speaking to a child.

"We will see what they have to eat and drink back at the manor, too. A wealthy couple like the Heidmarch's surely has just about anything a goblin could want to eat or drink. What do you like?"

Diplomacy Assist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

"Ekkie will come.. but can I's has my pack?? At least cage-Brothers skull?? The other goblins showed me the way through the smelly tunnels to the horse-killing place. I think i remember how to find it again. I like that place, 'cause they cut up horses there and you can see their insides and I got lots of dead horse to eat. The goblins said to steal from the big house then go back to the horse-killing place, then they ran off. It was almost sunrise and I could hear longshanks so I hid. Later I sneaked up to the big house and took some shiny things from the small houses, but then you caught me."

The teifling tosses Ekkei her bag back without another word. He then looks to the group for an indication of how they wish to proceed.

Where to from here, everyone????

"Now that everything is all right, could you show us the way to the horse-killing place, Ekkie?"

After a few paces, Pierre stops and looks Ekkie deep in the eyes.
"Well, you're not wanting to be part of that rude company of goblins anymore, right? Could you hand us the things you stole from innocent people, so we can give them back? You don't need these anymore and we have more shiny things back at the lodge."

Ekkie nods her head to Pierre's question. "I's takes you there. I no know how to say it, but I knows the way. De ugly man has only thing I takes from here."

At this point in the questioning, Venture Captain Heidmarch strides into your manor house. "What in the name of the gods is going on around here??" She demands, looking around the group and at the little goblin sitting in the middle.

"Ah! Venture-Captain! We just catched this Goblin, the name's Ekkie trying to steal things. After a beautiful discussion, she decided to give back the objects she tried to stole and to repent in the name of Iomedae." he says with a bright smile, waving at the goblinette.

"She will accompany us to the mastermind of the organisation she worked for. The poor goblin was just trying to find her way in the many possibilities life gives us. I guess we shall say she found it at my side!"

With a deep frown, the Venture captain looks over the stolen wayfinder. "This belongs to another guest of mine!" she exclaims. She crosses to the door and whispers to a guard outside, and soon enough, a man hustles into the room.
After a short conversation with Heidmarch, he turns to the group and bows low. "I thank you for apprehending this thief and for returning this!" As he is talking, his gaze travels to the little goblin, and his eyes narrow in anger. "She got my necklace as well!!!" With this exclamation, he strides over and pulls off a necklace that she is wearing. "This necklace of fireball must be what caused that explosion earlier!"
Turning back to the party, he says "Well now, it seems that you have a true mystery on your hands. I will allow you to use what is left of this necklace in return for tracking down the people responsible for sending her here.. it is obvious that she could not be the mastermind! I would go with you, but I have other duties to attend to at the moment."

He holds out the necklace to the party for someone to take.

Venture Captain Heidmarch says to the group "Well now. If you are going to follow this.. Creature.. I suggest that you find a way to do so without her walking in the open air.. you would surely draw too much attention that way. I would suggest a bag of some sort that you can carry her in.. anyone have a large backpack or something?"

Interesting. We might make an adventure of this assignment yet. The Nightsoil Marauders... Funny name for a gang, although they are goblins after all... Preferring his swords over harmful magic-- a Silencer is taught always to bring death up close, if it can be helped-- Hush lets someone else to take the necklace. He wonders whether these Nightsoil Marauders have been any real thorn in the Society's side.

"If Ekkie chooses to embrace the holy faith of Iomedae here and now, I shall deliver her acolytes garb with which she could hide her face. What do you all say of that, sounds good, isn't it?" says the cleric to the silent group.

Colt's near tumble out of the window causes him to pause as the rest of the group chases after the goblin. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he waits for the group to return. After the group corrals the pest and brings her back to the manor, he listens intently to the goblin's story and the other pathfinder's accounting of the stolen items.

Colt accepts the offer of the necklace from Joadric. "I have a special affinity for things that go BOOM! I would be happy to make use of this in the course of our investigation. Now, let's go figure out where this 'goblin guild' is hiding."

Ekkie looks at Pierre with disbelief as she realizes what is being asked of her, but shugs and trusts the man. Nodding her head, she says "Ekkie can do that." then proceeds to put on the robes at his direction.

Ginko chuckles, and a light joy overtakes the elderly crow, as he sees something he thought impossible.

"Who would have thought. A goblin converting to Iomedae."

Ginko looks to Sheila, a bright amused smile on his face.

"Could we perhaps get some food and drink for this little one? Ekkie has been very helpful, and I promised her some earlier. Besides..."

Ginko turns and nods at Ekkie approvingly.

"...the first Iomedaean goblin deserves nothing less."

"I agree with you, old bird! Ekkie has proven her devotion! I am very proud of you Ekkie!" says the cleric with a rejoiced laughter, looking at the goblin tenderly yet firmly.
