Hey guys, this is your OOC thread for my Way of the Wicked campaign. Good job on being selected. I will now be going through your submissions and checking them to ensure accuracy and such. If any of you notice an issue with one another's build feel free to point it out, it's helpful. Anyhow, Welcome!

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

"The Bloody Rose on deck Cap'n!"

Glad to be here!

(Male Human Inquisitor of Shar 1)

I'm not locked in here with you, you're all locked in here with me.

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

This seems to be less of a Prison and more of a Nut House! When do the meds come out?

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

Now now, can't we all be civilized people? We have an entire prison full of subjects for our own personal interests, be they murder, enslavement or cannibalism. Time to have a bit of fun!

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

Thanks for the invite! Look forward to an interesting game :)

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

Cannibalism? Who's a Cannibal? Stay away! Me limbs are me own thank you very much!

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Lyrysa, you're good.

Marius, where are you getting that Longbow Proficiency?

Slevin, Do you have your 2 extra skill points from the campaign?

Devon, You're good

If no one objects, I'll help you with the checks, but want an OK from players first as that is kind of personal :) Btw, anyone feel free to double check me also.

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

Heh! Sorry. Its from the Martial Weapon proficiency that the Swashbuckler Rogue gets at 1st level. At least I think it is... I DID do the sheet at 4am... Ill go look.

EDIT: Yup. Martial Training.

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

"What, good? By Asmodeus, get it off! Lyrysa tries to scrub away the good.

And feel free to check mine, I don't mind. I'm usually pretty good at character sheet auditing. I have one of those 'special' players in my home game that always seems to end up with an extra +2 to one of his stats, or a couple skill points.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm looking for. And in that case, you're good Marius.

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

Sweet! Looking forward to this. Also... Gonna go give Olav that second level he's been needing!

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

Hey Marius, aren't you using the Martial Training for the scimitar? Also, you need a BAB of +1 for Weapon Focus.

(Male Human Inquisitor of Shar 1)

Missed one, put it in Intimidate, thanks.

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

Ryuko, I messed up with Cosmopolitan. I can't choose Acrobatics as one of the skills (only INT, WIS, or CHA skills allowed). So I changed it to Knowledge(local) and adjusted my skills appropriately.

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

Man... It has been ages since I have played a Rogue. Damn... I thought I got the Scimitar proficiency as standard. Okay. Ill change it to that. And yes you are right. I forgot I needed +1 BaB! Hahaha! See... 4am Characters NEVER work. Ill go change that now.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Haha... Devon's significantly better at this than I am.

Also, We have gameplay!

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

No problem, at least they changed Weapon Finesse :) It used to require a +1BAB too which really sucked for Rogues. Btw, you have one more skill point to spend also: 8 for Rogue, -1 for INT, +2 for this AP, +1 favored class (because it looks like you didn't put it into hp).

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

Naw, Marius is just playing the style character I usually do :) So its easy to spot the same things I've done :)

@ Marius...going for Dervish Dance at LVL 2 with Combat Trick, eh :)

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Yeah, I always forget that some feats require +1 BAB

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

Ooh and an extra skill point? Awesome. Thanks man.

Haha! Dervish Dance for sure. It makes Rogues just the biz-omb in Combat! :D

Yeah I played Rogues for ages there but have become more of a Bard player now. I loves me some Bards.

(Male Human Gunslinger 2)

Checking in here. I believe Ezekiel is ready to go. Left most of the combat stuff empty, as appropriate for an unarmed prisoner. Let's rock and roll.

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

I really liked Marius's Trait choices for flavor to his character. LVL 2 is a big one for finesse Rogue fighter builds, especially since Rogues can take Weapon Finesse at 1st level now.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Ezekiel looks good to my eye except that you have an armor bonus to AC for some reason. No armor buddy.

EDIT: That's five to check in, just waiting on our Unbreakable Dwarven Fighter

(Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler) / Lvl 2)

Yeah it seems to me that if he is going to be a CE character and be on the run, the best way to do it is seduce his way across the country! Haha

Yeah it is a godsend!

(Male Human Gunslinger 2)

Fixed the armor problem now. Thanks for reminding me!

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

Cosmopolitan!! I forgot about that feat. Ryuko, would you terribly mind if I swap out Persusive for that one? And thanks, Devon for the reminder of it's existence.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Nah, that wouldn't be a problem

Checking in with Dantes Goldforge. Thanks for selecting me! I've been wanting to try an evil campaign for a while now. If anyone notices any thing off with his profile, I'd appreciate it.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Dantes Goldforge looks good to me too. Looks like we're good.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Lyrysa, what are you planning to be your arcane bond? Just wondering.

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

That is a good question, and should we all be happy to be able to live in a society where we can ask questions....

To be honest, I hadn't given it much thought at all (like none) aside from initial considerations. When it comes to wizards, I've always disliked familiars, enforced with Pathfinder's Arcane Bond ability. The problem is as in this type of instance, I would become an even greater burden on the group with it. No combat casting or focused mind means I'd have a 30% chance of using a 1st level spell. Kinda metagaming, I know. So I think I'll probably do a familiar.

As far as type of familiar, give me abit on that, I need to look into them. Might have to take Improved Familiar at some point, if I go with it.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Well I'll allow that you're essentially 'unbonded' at the moment, meaning you've never taken a bond and thus don't have all the negatives. But you will need to bond with something within the first few levels. Sound good?

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

While I do appreciate the offer to accomadate my preferences, I think I will go with the familiar. It might work well with this character, I think. At first I was against (like usual) but I think it might be neat with this character. I'm thinking about the Thrush. A bird not associated with being evil, plus a beautiful singer. I could see it fitting.

Now on that topic, is the bird alive, or do I need to acquire another? After we get out of here of course.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

It's currently alive but outside the prison amd a thrush flying around inside would doubtless be suspicious so it would be a risk to reunite it. But it can be alive and outside if you'd like

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

Acceptable, and thank you.

(Male Human Inquisitor of Shar 1)

So a couple of questions.

1. I'm assuming at least some of use were awake when we got brought in so do we have any idea how far up/down we are?

2.If we've been in here more than a few days it would be hard to have any idea what time of day it is. Are there regular guard shift changes or anything that may lead to an idea of wheteher its day or night?

3. Was anyone able to see the outside of the prison when we were brought in? What's the surrounding area like?

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Slevin: You are on the second floor, and about 15 feet from the ground. It is currently about sunset, and The prison sits on a rocky island within a rough ocean with only a small bridge road leading up to it. The prison rock itself is roughly 40 feet above sea level and the seas around have a reputation for being rough.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

I feel that now is a good time to drop my combat rules here.

Combat will generally take roughtly a day per round. I will only post once 5 out of six people have, or after 24 hours, I will have the people who haven't posted take an action that I believe makes sense. I will generally run initiative in a pretty free-form way, breaking it into blocks. For example:

BG1:1d20 ⇒ 15
PlayerA1d20 ⇒ 12
PlayerB1d20 ⇒ 18
PlayerC1d20 ⇒ 20
BG2:1d20 ⇒ 7

In this example, I would ask that Players B and C act first, without worrying about exact order, then allow the bad guys to move, then the players. Note that that does move the bad guys initiatives together by moving Player A back a bit. This is intentional, and simplifies things.

Everyone got it?

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

Got it. And good call on the action, since melee was engaged, wasn't gonna risk a sleep in that mess.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

All right everyone, a couple points.

1: I never got a yes or no from anyone but Lyrysa on the combat rules. Would just like to make sure everyone understands before moving forward with that.

2: The map of the prison is roughly like this:

M______________
/############\
WW###PP######|
WW###PP----------G========
\______________/

W=Warden's Watchtower
P=Prison
_=Wall
G=Main Gate
===Bridge to Mainland Talingarde
---=Road/Path
# or space=Courtyard.

The rest is surrounded by ocean, with the walls rising 20 feet above the ground, which is itself 40 feet above the ocean. I decided to clarify this now since you seem to want to use the window to slip out, but as you can see from where you are is not going to be quite as easy as just slipping out the window to freedom.

(Male Human Fighter (Weapon Master) 2)

I'm good with the combat rules as posted.

(Male Human Inquisitor of Shar 1)

Happy with them

(Male Human Gunslinger 2)

Combat rules work for me. Guess we'll need to rethink this escape.

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

Here's my recommended plans so far, just to start brainstorming.

1) Take the Warden hostage. A charm spell on this scenario might also help.

2) Light the Warden's Tower on fire. Mostly for fun, but ensuing chaos might give us a chance if it's done stealthy like so they don't know we're out and caused it, so are busy putting it out while we make our escape.

3) Swim. For when everything else has gone south. Maybe throw some debris down as well to help carry us away. I do believe he said earlier the water is dangerous or something though.

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

The water is a bit dangerous, but nothing a strong swimmer couldn't handle. I'd say Lyrysa is anything but a strong swimmer however.

(Female Elf Wizard (Manipulator) 2)

That's why it's listed as 3, and last ditch effort.

Another idea would be to try to thin out the number of guards and storm the main gate, though I think that'd end badly. Do we have any idea on the number of guards present? (a rough estimate would suffice).

(Male Human Super Cruel DM 10)

Judging roughly you wouldn't guess the prison could house more than 20 guards at a time, though you did see one guard dog on your way in and there could be others.
