I am looking at putting together a quest series where we have 6-7 people (could be less and some person/people GM two quests) GM a quest in a quest series. It means we all get a full chronicle and can play through in a low stress environment. We just have to prep 1 quest each and we can all play those low levels characters. I have an Oloch clone Warpriest I am in love with myself.
As for the quest series our potions are Honors Echo, Silverhex, Phantom Phenomena, House of Harmonious Wisdom. I have played all but Silverhex, but they are evergreen so I don't really mind which we play.
If you are interested post below and we'll see if we can get this off the ground. I think we gather interest and kick off when Outpost is done and people's plates are a little less full.

I know I tossed my hat in the ring over at the discussion thread, but I'll dot in here as well.
I have been doing pbp for a little while but haven't done pbp GM before. I ran a non-PFS campaign/homebrew for a while, so the GM thing itself isn't new.
Cool idea though! Thanks for pitching it, regardless of what happens

I have never GMed PbP yet, and I've been intimidated to start. If you'd have me, this would be a great launching point for my GMing career here at Flaxseed, as sharing GMing responsibilities makes it far less intimidating.
Agreed- and who better to give you tips and feedback than others with a lot more experience?

Silverhex is good with me; I just played it recently, so I won't have to GM anything I haven't played.
lucklesshero, Silverhex was part of one of the Humble Bundles; maybe you got it there? That's where I got my copy.
that’s right! Yeah they gave us all of season 6! Ironically haven’t played or gm’d much of season 6

Can we open a gameplay thread to dot in? I keep almost-forgetting about this 'cause it's not on my campaigns tab.
Second opening a gameplay thread.
I have not played (or run) Silverhex before, but I understand that the first 5 can be played in any order. For planning purposes, should we just plan to go in the order it was published?
Regardless, I am happy to go first, which if we go by order is Mausoleum.
@Zin Z'arin - The quests can be run/played one at a time. So, my understanding is that we will each report the single quest that we ran. Assuming you play each quest with the same character, you will complete 5 quests by playing and then, if you so choose, can add the credit for the quest that you GM'd, to the same character. Therefore, by the end of the quest, your character will presumably have all the gold and boons provided for completing all 6 quests.
Alternatively, you can assign each quest to a different character, or some combination of quests to different characters. In theory, upon completing the entire series, you could apply 1 XP to each of 6 different characters.

I don't have a preference regarding GM duties (I actually haven't played in any of the 6... so all of them are new to me).
I have two "outages" on the books so it would be best if I am not GMing during those.
April 4-14
Sept 6-17
I have a level 1 druid or a level 2 inquisitor that will be coming off of Outpost, so either of those are fair game for me once Outpost wraps up

Yep, that's why we use quest series for GM Schools so often. It's a great way to dive in.
Here's hoping that you all have a grand time, and learn a lot together. If you need anything, feel free to ping one of the VO team.
Hugs,

Okay, thanks. I just wanted to make sure that our plan hadn't fallen away due to lack of activity. Waiting for the end of Outpost is a good plan.
Shall we plan our characters?
Lucklesshero: Polo Took (unchained rogue)
RxGus: druid or bard
Zin Z'arin: Feelo (halfling Desnan cleric)
Ietsuna:
Helikon:
Mjolbeard:
Valen: (running first quest, has more time to decide)

I can be prepared to start the first quest in a week if everyone is ready. In the meantime, I shall prep an "introduction" to the quests and post it in Gameplay later today or tomorrow unless otherwise instructed. Then, folks can start posting in character as they arrive at an initial meeting place outside Daggermark (not described in the quest so I get to make it up!), designated in a message they have received from their contact, Ulisha.
@ GM letsuna - How do you want to handle slides/maps since you have access to changing the thread? Should we PM you the links in advance or just post the links in Gameplay when it is our turn?

Lucklesshero: Polo Took (halfling unchained rogue)
RxGus: Paemil (human druid)
Zin Z'arin: Feelo (halfling Desnan cleric)
Ietsuna: Tsuk Such (half-orc warpriest)
Helikon: Ephiril (half-elf occultist)
Mjolbeard:
Valen: (running first quest, has more time to decide)
I've found out that my build isn't legal as-is; I have two archetypes that are modifying the Domain class feature; they both modify different aspects of it (one modifies spells, one modifies powers), so I though it was okay, but it seems not. I will have to work on a rebuild, but it sounds like we have time. My character will still be a divine paragon cleric of some type, but may not be Desnan; I'll have to see what I come up with in the rebuild.

Sorry for the silence. I totally forgot about this game due to it not being in my campaigns!
Anyway, looks like we could use an arcane caster, I've got a race boon with a witch build I've been itching to trot out before 2E takes over the world debuts, so I'll get her lined up shortly.
I'll be ready to rumble for tomorrow!

Just thought I would check with you all about game expectations as I think it is helpful to have them set forth up front. I realize that I should have brought this up before starting, but better late than never and my first of, no doubt, multiple mistakes.
Below are three proposals to ease gameplay during our quests together as well as my thoughts behind them. These are proposals, not final policies, and I am offering them to get discussion going so something can be implemented. Feel free to offer alternatives or to trash them, but either way, please offer your thoughts as I think it would be helpful.
Posting Rate - Proposal=1-3/posts per weekday, 1-2 on weekends
In prior games, I have set an expectation of 1-3 posts per weekday and 1-2 posts per weekend. I also realize that for some folks, for various reasons, that is too fast. I realize that this is foremost an opportunity to have fun and hopefully learn from one another and that we all have different demands on us at different times (my availability will likely change in a month once the kids are out of school). Still, I think it would be helpful to settle on an expectation (not a requirement-I think life is too chaotic and unpredictable for that) as a group.
Botting Policy - Proposal=Require botting instructions for anticipated absences
This sort of goes hand-in-hand with the post rate. At present, since we are all GMs, I don't foresee a need for this, but it may be something we consider if post rates drop below a settled upon expectation. I suggest for now that if anyone knows that they are going to be unable to post for 48+ hours that they leave botting instructions.
Rule of Two - Proposal=Implement a Rule of Three
To keep up people's interest and to keep things moving, many GMs use a "rule of two", which states that if two people agree on a course of action, then it is assumed that the whole party will pursue that action. For a group of six, I would suggest adding one more person in agreement for a "rule of three". I have once already applied this rule in Gameplay already, but I realize that some people may feel that this limits their character's autonomy as well as role play opportunities, so I am putting this out there.
