First, it is the DM's choice how she runs such matters. Second, Spiral could have rolled everything off the board to prevent metagaming if she chose to do so. Or she could have been waiting for you to do a Sense Motive to ensure the Spider Lady was being true before she bothered rolling a Bluff. Since your character took her words at face value, a DM could reasonably argue there is no need for a roll. However, neither roll is actually necessary within the rules because:

Alkaid wrote: "If you had a chance to redeem yourself and do good would you do it?"

Spider responded: "I...would be willing to aid you. I'm not ready to die and not willing to do so for these stupid demon worshipers."

She never agreed to your terms, she evaded them. Then she did fulfill the limited terms she had agreed to - providing 'aid' by laying out who the enemy was and how to attack them. She didn't have to Bluff at all.

I just started playing with some nice 3D modeling software,
and the best part is the program and some basic content is free
and it's easy to make a character.

I like it. Might have to give it a shot.

I had to buy a few packs to get that result.
but it's good for quick character concept art, instead of looking for one that matches.

OK, first some bad news. Straehan has withdrawn. I understand his reasons and I'm sorry to see him go.

So, what I'd like now is some feedback from the rest of you. Are you happy with the way things are going? Do you have any issues with my GM style, the game, or any of the characters? Do you have any issues with your characters?

Also, this leaves us without a traps specialist. So, options:
1: Open recruitment for a traps person.
2: Allow you folks to adjust your characters so someone becomes a traps person.
3: Add an NPC to the mix.

I have no problems,

and there is a forth option; none of the above.
Though since I don't know the adventure,
it could be a bad idea.

I can see now we have no trap specialist.
Though I can offer a suggestion that should not
cause to big a character rewrite,
Sparrow could take the (Urban Ranger) archetype.

or if one of the heavy hitters wants to fill in that role,
Bard(Archaeologist) could make a good match to a combat type.

I'll go with the majority that the group decides.

Agreed, Alkaid, the 4th option is keep on track as we are. If that's what everyone wants, that's perfectly fine as well.

Well all we really need is for someone with a good perception to start putting points into disable device, or there is the good old standby of using summoned monsters to trigger traps

I can switch over to the Urban Ranger archtype and handle traps, if Spiral doesn't mind me switching my charcter up abit to account for it.

@Sparrow: I don't mind. While it wasn't directed at you or anyone specifically, that is the sort of change I meant with Option #2.

If everyone is OK with that, their characters, and the game, then the Swallowtail Festival starts Monday!

I don't mind the change up. As this point, just to make it easy, I'll take a rank from Linguistics (dropping gnomish language) and Spellcraft and put them into Disable Device for now, if that's acceptable.

Figured I might as well see if now would be a good time to divvy up some loot on the list? If anyone's interested I keep a link on my profile.

If it's okay with Spiral, I can go ahead and sell stuff off give everyone their total. If you see anything you'd like, just list it off. A few suggestions below.

• I know there is a pearl of power useable by Alkaid, Cilyanka and myself (not sure about Brin), I'd think Cilyank or Alkaid would probably benefit more than myself on it (Alkaid's spells are healing, and Cilyanka gets a more limited number/day)
• Hand of Glory almost anyone could use, and Daylight/See Invis are really nice
• Give the Cure Moderate potion to Kaddoc, a Cure Light to Cilyanka, Brin and myself (since Alkaid can heal)?
• Everyone gets an alchy fire since their's five (We are counting Ryu out as well, right?)
• Shield of faith to Kaddoc and Cilyanka? Or Kaddoc and Brin maybe?
• Neutralize Poison potions to the four lowest fort saves amongst us?
  

I think the MW Lt mace and silver signet ring are being given as proof of the tax collector, please correct me if I'm wrong. And anyone recall what our reward was for completing this task?

As for the gear distribution, Kaddoc can heal, so he doesn't really need the potion if someone else would rather have it.

Yea, my copy is still sitting in the box I received it from Paizo in as well, not wanting to ruin this one.

I've already made adjustments to Sparrow to cover traps, though if you would want to, it never hurts to double up on some skills.

Wow, Xmas is over! Gotta say this has been a draining one for me. Hope everyone had a good holiday season (for those who celebrate).

Looking over my PBPs this morning, I realize it's been a bigger interruption than I thought it would be. So going through and apologizing to all my games for the somewhat unexplained absence and getting updates in as applicable.

Recruitment for a new game.

Just to let everyone know, tomorrow night I'll be attending a work holiday party, then Sunday I leave to Florida for a week. I'll try to make sure everything's as up to date as I can before the party tomorrow, but after that probably won't be able to post until at the hotel Sunday night. I should be able to post every night while in Florida, but if there's a delay it'd be work related. I come back next Friday if I completely disappear during this time for some reason.

Sorry about lack of posts, last three days were kinda filled and draining. Back home now though, and looking to get a post in.
