Fextor pulls out his journal, writes in it and passes the book to Belegorn.
Belegorn:
"I follow orders. The goblins probably deserve death, but I'm not going to serve it to them unless there is no other option. However, the goblins don't know that and if them thinking they'll be goblin fricasee serves to keep them in line for their own self-interest and makes our job watching them easier, then I'm not above saying that they'll be charred if they don't behave. Do we understand each other?"
He then hands it off to anyone else that wants to read it (well not the goblins who'd be as likely to vandalize or eat the book).

One of them says "We speakz, we speakz" in a squeaky high-pitched voice.

Filios, clearly a bit frustrated, draws his Curveblade and waves it menacingly at the group of goblins.
How about this? Do you understand the meaning of quick death, scum? No one said that ALL of you had to make it safely to the destination! Let's move, NOW!
"We said we speakz! what elses do youse wants from us!!" They cry out, clutching each other in fear.

Fextor walks up to the one that reponded to Konnar.
Reaching out and touching him, Fextor uses Corrupting Touch on it.
Causing him to become shaken for one round
Fextor then steps back and casts Charm Person(DC17, goblin has -2 save for being shaken) on the goblin.
"Is that all you know about the woman? You aren't holding anything back?
Be helpful to us. Please, answer any questions that we ask."
Turning to Konnar, "He should be more informative now."

He says his name and it's the goblin equivalent of gnat.

Gnat, I am Gryne. Admittedly our kind do not enjoy each others company. I have been charged with the safe passage of you and your bretheren and my word is as solid as the earth itself.

Strat has trouble stomaching the treatment of the creatures, even if they are goblins. "We will appreciate your cooperation during this trip, and will see you safely there as long as you give it."

Fextor says "Thanks for being helpful." to the goblin.
He then digs out a piece of meat from his pack and hands it to him.
"Any of the rest of you hungry?" and offers each of the other goblins a piece.

They accept the food gingerly but once they have it in their hands they attack it like ravenous beasts, licking their hands after their done.

A couple of them nod, they cling to each other. Not meeting your eyes.

Onward!
A narrow southern pass winds its way through steep, icy hills, the frigid wind periodically dusting all in its path with a layer of snow. Two ancient stone watchtowers stand on either side of the path between two nearly vertical bluffs rising thirty feet to either side, just as Lightfoot’s map indicated they would. The eighty-foot-wide path narrows to a mere twenty-five feet in width between the two fifty-foot towers.

I laughed. I checked because I haven't seen those greater than, less than signs in 20 years. I thought it was less than 25.
Look sharp boys, we have some action on the right tower.
Can you give us a sense of measurements or direction as far as cover goes? ie; how far before we are in cover from the tower or outside of 30ft, 80ft and 120ft range?
As you're moving forward a pair of heads poke out from the weathered tower and arrows arc towards the sky and fly at you. Four arrows fly straight for your small group, three of them fall short but one of them takes poor leopold in the chest (3 Damage)

So this is my first spellcaster, If I use Lightning Arc on the Northern most and Southern most archers, does that mean I could potentially hit all 4? It is just a ranged attack for me, without the bonus from Point Blank Shot, correct?
Male Human Oracle of the Heavens 20/Horizon Walker 10
Gryne Skystone:
Not even close, have you read lightning arc?
Lightning Arc (Sp): As a standard action, you can unleash an arc of electricity targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This arc of electricity deals 1d6 points of electricity damage + 1 point for every two cleric levels you possess.
At 30 ft you can roll a ranged touch to hit a single enemy.

If you and I can corral the goblins behind one of the boulders, I can cast obscurring mist for complete cover. Or I can step in front and cast it as we are.

Gryne:
Similar to what I was thinking. I don't have Obscuring Mist memorized, but planned on bringing them south behind the boulder. The Mist will definitely help.

Strat:
If we go to the North boulder, it will take 1 round and I can position myself to use Obscuring Mist at the best angle. It will only last 1 round, so maybe moving them 1 round, then obscuring mist the next.

"Goblins, take cover behind that rock, I'll cover you!" With that, Strat keeps his shield at the ready to move with the goblins, providing them cover against the archers.
Delay until goblins go, then move to move, standard for total defense.

"We no hides! we can fights" Gnat cries, the others soon join their voices to his and voice their outrage at being set aside.
