Rowanna nonchalantly leans against the wall with a 'too cool to care' look while she waits for the others to proceed.
Elenial Windwalker |
Elenial offers her wand to everybody else who needs healing. Then she continues searching the room.

There is nothing else to find in this room. You move on to the next room, the sanctuary.
A black granite statue of a pharaoh stands on the polished alabaster floor in the center of this chamber beneath a vaulted limestone ceiling decorated with gilt stars. An engraved panel of granite stands against the western wall, carved to resemble a door. A flat granite slab lies on the floor in front of the false door.
The two smaller rooms also contain statues. The southern chapel contains a statue of a lean man with the head of an animal with a curved snout an erect squared ears.
The northern chapel holds a statue of a strong, powerful man with a falcon's head topped with a solar disk.

As the group enters the next room, Rowanna immediately spots something strange with false door, "This door is not false at all, it's actually a secret door."
When she eventually makes it to the north chapel, she finds a secret panel at the base of the statue, and discovers a scroll. After casting Read Magic she reports, "This is a scroll of Searing Light."
All the statues appear to confound her, leading her to confess, "I have no idea what these statues are, I avoided religion classes when I was younger."

This time, as we go, Parsnip will be ready that if something was to grab/grapple Elenial, Parsnip will cast grease on the poor elf, thus providing a nice +10 bonus to avoid getting snatched!
Elenial Windwalker |
Elenial is not amused, but enters the room. "Just in case, I have two wands of CLW in my backpack!"
Elenial Windwalker |
Sure, but Elenial is also not amused about going into a room first. Again. But maybe she should not touch everything like a child.

Elenial scans the room for any evidence of undeads.

Elenial quietly opens the secret door just enough to peak into the room beyond.
An elaborately decorated sarcophagus stands among the heaped treasures and offerings in this burial chamber. Ancient Osiriani hieroglyphs on the walls proclaim this to be the tomb of Pharaoh Sekh-pa-Mefer III, the Pharaoh of Sphinxes.
The sarcophagus suddenly bursts open and a humanoid creature wrapped in linens rises out of it, looking around the chamber.

I said it is resistant to damage... What I mean by that is that it has DR/-. Also, you will want to look at the mummified creature stat block. My mistake.
Shoris' splash of acid barely misses the mummy. Elenial also misses. Rowanna attempts to curse theundead creature with misfortune...

The "treasure" in the room is actually mundane items gilded with a thin layer of gold. The enire collection, which weighs about 1000 pounds, is worth 500 gold.
The mummy has an amulet around its neck.

After Shoris has trouble identifying the amulet, Rowanna takes a few moments to look at it with the help of Detect Magic. "It's an Amulet of Mighty Fists. How boring."
After tossing the amulet to someone else, she pulls out her Pearl of Power and restores her ability to cast Burning Hands, just in case more mummies show up.
Rowanna Nachtalus |
"Shall we get moving?" Rowanna casually suggests, although it's unclear if that's her contribution to Parsnip's account or just a proposed course of action.
Parsnip Widdleton |
"Madam, as I record this, which word would you prefer I show as having had the emphasis? You see, I do my notes in the gnome tongue, which unlike common, and many others, pays particular attention to emphasis as intent from the speaker. I'm sure you will understand how each of the three possible answers to my questions would highlight completely different aspects of your question, and thus your overall personality and leadership style."

Elenial makes notes about the carvings on the door. A human man, a human woman, a ram, a jackal, and a falcon. From top to bottom.
