Myrn glares at the shaking goblin before him and pulls back his sword as if he was going to swing at a ball that was tossed at him. He flexes every muscle as he swings at the Goblin.

Trying to think of ways to make combat easier. When you post start with what round your action is on and where you are located.
ex. Round 3: G11
That way I don't have to scroll to other pages or whatever to see where you are.
Tazdara |
Round 3: Tazdara is still standing on J-6
"All this fighting must make you soooo very tired..."
Tazdara raises her outstretched palm to her mouth and with a long exhale through pursed lips, blows her breath over her palm in the direction of the goblin. A swirl of misty air envelops the immediate area.
Sleep is cast. Let's hope it works!
Myrn Gladreth |
Round 3: Myrn is still at G11 facing G2

Round 4
Seeing the tide of battle turn so harshly the last standing goblin drops her shortbow and takes off at full speed into the chaos, using the fire-bombed wagon's billowing smoke as visual cover.
To the west you see a goblin perched on a rooftop, biding his time. As a woman holding a child runs by the goblin leaps off, head first, in an attempt to tackle her. He misses by a foot and lands face-first, snapping his neck. Two more goblins come out from both sides of the Armory to surround her. One has a lit torch that he flings at her, cackling all the while; she shields her child with her dress and ducks at the last moment and the torch lands on the torso of the goblin standing behind her. The goblin screams in terror and starts running in circles as the other frantically tries to beat the fire from him with what appears to be a frying pan. The goblin is consumed and falls to the ground, screaming in terror, as the other runs off to the south, looking for more mayhem to cause.
Father Zantus once again rushes out from the Cathedral, looking back and forth for any others who may need shelter and healing. He spots you and rushes over.
Are any of you hurt? There is a... He pauses for a moment and looks down a peacefully-sleeping goblin, holding his blade like a blankey, before continuing. There are a few people cornered, that way by the North Gate. There are no town guards in the area. A dog is fending off the attackers, but I fear it will not last long. Please help them!
Myrn Gladreth |
Myrn walks over to Father Zantus, Since you're asking. I have a small gash that could use some attention. Myrn points to the small wound dripping blood as he thrusts his sword into the ground, but not before passing through the sleeping goblin first.
Erfer Everhart |
Erfer turned to Myrn and gazed at him with excitement.Myrn... That was quite the display! You are a truly great warrior. I was so mesmerized that I had blacked out for the duration of the battle! At the moment I awoke, I saw the goblin split in two... You are amazing!
DM - Kurio Kenshi |
Father Zantus says a quick word of prayer and clutches his butterfly-shaped holy symbol. A golden aura bursts out from around Zantus and envelopes everyone in a warming sensation. Myrn's wounds are instantly healed. I must tend to the others inside. Godspeed! He rushes off, his robes flapping behind him in the breeze.
Tazdara |
Tazdara rolls her eyes at Erfer's display of fascination."Well, Erfer, now's the time to make up for all the daydreaming back there. Let's head over to the North Gate!"
She then turns to Azgar who has made his way back to her shoulder. She pulls out a corn kernel or two and feeds it to him. "Azgar, who don't you go scout ahead so we know what we're running into."
With a ruffle of feathers and a few clacks of his beak he nods his head and flies off heading north.
Myrn Gladreth |
Myrn turn to Erfer and says, Awe inspiring indeed my little comrade. Is that why you were just standing there? Were you frozen with envy? Myrn grabs his belt and chuckles loudly.
I agree with the woman! We need to help the other townsfolk!
Myrn begins running toward the North Gate.
Erfer Everhart |
Erfer slumps his shoulders and lets out a sigh, Boy, I really blew that one... Guess I better stop dilly-dallying and get my head in the game. The townsfolk need me, not to mention I need to impress Myrn!
It isn't my fault Tazdara! Myrn puts on too much of a.. Hey, wait up!!
Erfer takes off in their direction trying to catch them, but being such a small person, he can only just keep in pace.
DM - Kurio Kenshi |
Rushing up Church road towards the north gate you make your way, starting to hear cries for help. Approaching the White Deer Inn you clearly see a dog, teeth bared, facing off against a goblin commando atop of a grotesque goblin dog. The source of the cries come from from a man, cowering behind a rain barrel. The dog being the only thing stopping the commando from charging and running the citizen through. As you take in the situation, the dog, already visibly injured, pounces towards the mounted goblin but it is not quick enough. The commando brings his crude weapon down onto the dog slipping its head in two. As the dog crashes to the ground, goblins from hiding pop up and cheer at the kill. Distracted by their kill, they appear to have not notice your approach, but instead have turned their attention to the whimpering behind the barrel.
Sorry, guys. Gonna have a map up for this combat tomorrow.
Erfer Everhart |
Erfer hears the whimpering man and whips out his crossbow. He readies a bolt and trains it onto the goblin to the far right C6. He exhales and slowly pulls the trigger while holding his breath to increase his accuracy.
Crossbow Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Crossbow Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + (1) = 5
Tazdara |
Not only do we have another pack of unruly goblins, but their giant pet dog, too? This should be interesting.
Tazdara prepares her crossbow.
Aim...Steady now...

Surprise Round:
Tazdara and Erfer both unsling their crossbows as Myrn moves forward and brandishes his greatsword. Tazdara's bolt zings by the head of a goblin and lodges into the forehead of one of the wooden deer that stands in front of the Inn. Erfer's bolt finds better luck slamming directly into the neck of one of the goblins, spurting blood all over his companion's face and eyes.

The rider heaves a poleaxe over his head and takes a powerful swing, catching the nobleman firmly in the chest. Blood begins to seep through his tunic as he cries out in pain.
Erfer Everhart |
Erfer readies another bolt and takes aim on the Goblin Rider. He must do whatever he can to either eliminate the threat or distract the goblin from his target. Erfer takes aim just under the goblins shoulder with the hopes that he can end this quickly with a bolt to the heart. He squeezes the trigger, and with a thud, the bolt cleaves the air in an instant.

Myrn's massive blade stabs point-first into the goblin's mouth, wide enough to cleave the skull in two.
<Ride: C3 to G6>
The Goblin Rider disengages from the nobleman and rides toward Myrn. He charges forth, trampling the dead goblin, and swings his poleaxe, fire in his eyes.

damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The poleaxe slashes toward Myrn's neck as he dodges to the side. The edge of the axe blade manages to catch Myrn's neck as it passes by. The rider begins to gloat with a loud cheer as he sees blood trickling down the powerful warrior's scale armor.
Erfer Everhart |
Erfer sees the Goblin Rider strike at Myrn and decides that now is the perfect opportunity to rush behind that foul beast. Erfer sprints to just behind the Goblin Rider's left side, poised and ready to strike. (K10 to F7)
Myrn Gladreth |
Myrn ribs his neck where the goblin grazed him. As the second strike harmlessly bounces of his armor, Myrn grins and sends a sly wink towards Erfer.
Myrn takes a wide swing towards the goblin.

Erfer easily tumbles to his left as the axe clangs against the road, causing sparks to fly and the dog gets a mouthful of metal as he clamps down onto the strong scale mail.
Tazdara |
Looks like Erfer needs a little help!
"Try this on for size, halfling!"
Tazdara holds up her right hand to her side, palm facing upwards. She focuses her eyes in Erfer's direction as a glowing ball of yellow air swirls in her hand. She swings her right hand out in front of her and the yellow swirl unfurls into a ribbon of light and accelerates towards Erfer. His body glows for a moment and then the light fades.
Fortune cast. Erfer, roll your next attack, save, or skill or ability check(can only choose one) twice and pick the better of the two. Fortune smiles on you, friend!
Erfer Everhart |
Erfer felt a surge of adrenaline and leaped towards the Goblin rider, his mace and dagger poised to strike. His mace thirsts for the crack of bone; his dagger, the taste of blood.
Light Mace Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

The dog's midsection is slashed brutally by Myrn's blow and slumps to the ground next to his master.
Silence and still fills the air for a moment before the nobleman finally removes his hands from over his eyes. I... I'm alive. By the ancient gods... I'm alive. He climbs to his feet, clutching his chest as blood slowly eases through the fabric of his finely tailored tunic and in between his fingers. He looks to his fallen comrade grimly. Old Sounder saved my life. May he rest in peace now. He turns back to the party with a solemn expression. I don't know how to express my deep gratitude. Those little hellions were to do me in for sure, friends. His eyes linger over Myrn's broad frame for a moment before he quickly turns them upward. The way you cut down that massive beast. I have never witnessed such a display of martial prowess! Truly a marvel of heroism indeed! All of you, thank you for saving my life. He extends a partial bow before cringing in pain and straightening up again. I am Aldern Foxglove. Pleased to make your acquaintance, as unfortunate as the grim circumstance may be.
As you look around tendrils of smoke curl their way into the bright blue sky as the clanking of steel on steel and the cries of the townsfolk die down around you. A few guardsmen run past a few roads down to the west, chasing down a straggler who thinks for a brief moment before leaping to his death onto the beach far below.
