Titinambule |
Things sounds better since tavellers and villagers had took back in confiance. We'll push away goblins now.
Titinambule maintains his illusion of a dwarf battalion to protect as many people as possible from goblins.
He also takes his crossbow and load a bolt.
As long as my illusion play his role, I'll protect people with it. But....
Titinambule maintains is silent image and load his crossbow. If some goblins disbelieve his illusions, he'll shoot (or at least trying to shoot) the first.
Sativon Preitan |
Sativon notices a human girl attempting to tie a goblin with little more than another goblin's ragged belt. Knowing that information can sometimes be just as important as treasure, he jumps down from the wagon, and rushes to her side.
Here, wait, let me help. I've got a bit of nice rope in my pack, the good silk stuff. He fishes around in his pack for his rope, so he can help the young lady tie up the ugly, green bugger.
Not sure if were still running in-combat action economy, if that's the case, I'll use my move action to get to Nar'a, and replace my standard with a move to get my silk rope out of my pack so that she and I can tie the goblin up nice and tight, just as soon as possible.
Edit: I'd like to keep my bow and one arrow (previously notched) in hand just in case, if that's all right.
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
Saif runs in to finish off the singing and singed goblin, but she is ready for him, ducking out of the way just in time, but Kror's charge finishes him off.
Sativon and Nar'a both move to secure the two sleeping goblins, as Nar'a finishes the one, Sativon reaches the other with his silk rope.
Another group of goblins was headed your direction, but Titinambule's illusion saw them retreat another direction instead.
For the moment, the area immediately around you is clear of goblins, but you can hear the battle moving north, towards the front gate. At the same time, Sheriff Hemlock and Father Zantus come running your direction.
"We thank you for your help in rescuing Sandpoint, but there is still more to be done. The main force is mostly broken, but two prongs have broken off to attack us from the south. If some of you could help stem the tide, we would be most appreciative."
You are out of combat at this point, you have about 30 seconds or so before that force reaches where you are.
Zenovia Marilis |
Once all the goblins are dead in the area Zenovia Marilis centers herself among the wounded and dying of the area and channels the holy power of her goddess. Everyone within 30 feet of her heals 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage. She then stands behind the front liners to provide healing and buffing support.
Burma "The Tusk" |
Burma positions herself just behind the frontliners, where she can clearly be seen by the enemy but isn't obstructing the more skilled warriors.
"If we can single out whoever is leading this attack I am sure I can break his will, and thereby cut the head off of the snake."
Kane Hue |
Kane Hue will go to the front of the line with sword ready, He will make sure he is at least 5 feet in front the frontest person, so that he is the first thing they see and attack. He will wait for thirty seconds with an attack readied, so that all he has to do is move to them or let them move to him.
Titinambule |
Since they're isn't goblins alive now in the central place, Titinambule heave a sigh of reassurance.
Pouyaya, that's a chance this goblins doesn't understand that dwarves were an illusion. And now, it's time to help people in another way.
Titinambule stop to focuse on his illusion and dwarf's battalion disapears suddenly. Then, he jump from the table and begins to navigate between bodies on the ground, looking if he can help wounded persons.
In case of, he have his crossbow with a bolt his his left hand. Then, he turn his face on direction of his badger.
Hairry Harry, stay here. It should be dangerous.
Then, he shout.
Is anybody need help. Hello, I can help you. Give me an answer or raise your hand.
Zenovia Marilis |
Zenovia Marilis with the combat over at the moment regains her senses. She says to the others, "I apologize if I seemed rather distant back there. In the heat of battle I am ridden by the power of the Divine and respond only to the Celestial tongue. I would aid you in battle fellows but I am afraid that I left my weapons and armor back at my room at the Rusty Dragon. I was expecting a celebration not a battlefield. Still if any of you need healing I am willing to provide assistance."
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
Everyone takes a few moments to help some of the locals and other party goers that were unable to avoid the wrath of the goblins first strike. Thankfully, at least in your area, there were no deaths, other than goblins. You can see Father Zantus smiling at all of you as he assists in helping the wounded. Sheriff Hemlock retains his grim demeanor as he and a few militia clear the area of bodies. It isn't long until you see the approaching goblins though..
One of them is mounted on some kind of steed and several others march along side him. As you finish counting the goblins headed your way, a loud barking quickly draws your attention eastward and it is just as quickly turned into a high pitched yelp. Sheriff Hemlock yells, "That must be the other prong of this attack!!" He draws his sword and charges in that direction.
There is a unit of goblins in front of you with one on top of some sort of steed carrying a nasty looking halberd type weapon. Sheriff Hemlock ran off to the other group he believes is east of you. Zhang, Liu, Kerak, Zenovia, Kurgan and Sativon are up next.
Sativon Preitan |
Sativon peaks his head over the side of the wagon and lets fly an arrow aimed for the lead goblin's hideous mount, whatever it is. He then quickly ducks back behind the side of the wagon.
Shortbow Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Shortbow Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
edit:Critical Threat: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
edit 2:Critical Shortbow Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Sneak Attack Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Sniping Stealth Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
My swift as shadows ability drops the normal -20 penalty for sniping to just ten, and my normal skill bonus to stealth is +11, thus the +1 on that check. I'm hoping that because I act before the goblins in this initiative order, that they are considered flat-footed, and therefore Sativon gets his sneak attack damage. :)
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
I've sent a message to both Kurgan and Liu, but if they haven't posted by tonight, I will move on with this round.
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
Zenovia begins a prayer as Zhang grips his wicked sharp blade tighter as he prepares to hold the line against the oncoming goblins, all while Kerak and Grip rush to where the other goblins are. FreeDM
Sativon's quick arrow from his hidden perch pierces the beastly mount directly through the throat, dropping it instantly. It's rider, momentarily in awe, tumbles and then lands on his feet gripping a wicked looking long-shafted blade. It is apparent this is no run-of-the-mill goblin.
As Zenovia's prayer ends, it seems the goblins are getting ready to charge.
Dacar is up next, Kane I will allow you to keep a readied action. Saif, I will keep your action for when your turn comes up.
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
No worries. I tend to randomize initiative so as to keep people paying attention ;-)
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
Dacar tosses a bomb into the middle of the charging goblins and it explodes in the face of the bigger one. All of them howl in rage and pain, but continue moving forward.
Burma and Kane are up. I still have Kane's readied attack if you want to keep it.
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
Burma stares into the soul of the lead goblin and for a moment he pauses in his rush.
The others are heedless of their leader as they crash into your defensive wall, Kane cutting down one and Zhang moving behind another that attempts to hit Kane, but his blow is easily deflected.
Nar'a, Titinambule, Kror and Galt are up next.
Titinambule |
Damned. Others goblins. How many of this repugnants creature we'll encounter today. But, Desna smiles to us, no dead for the moment.
Titinambule opens wide the eyes of surprise. He nearly lose his crossbow when he notice the new group of goblins.
Fortunately, I'm not alone in this place. I'll try to help the longshanks.
Then, he puts itself behind a makeshift shelter and begins to encounter a spell to help his companions of fight.
Get away goblins. Or Titinambule the marvelous'll but kicking you.
Move action : I go behind something that can protect me. Standard action : I ready a color spray if two or more gobelins goes in my direction.
Kror Stormshield |
Oh look at that. Their leader is all alone. I'll just go give him some company.
Kror rushes the mounted goblin, drawing his axe back in preparation for an enormous overhead chop.
Greataxe, Charge, PA, Favored Enemy, Hatred: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 - 1 + 2 + 1 = 22
Slashing, PA, FE: 1d12 + 3 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 3 + 2 = 13
Nar'a |
Nar'a nods her thanks to Saviton for his help with the slumbering Goblin.
When the other attack begins, Nar'a runs to join the other party goers that have decided to take action.
Skidding to a halt behind the line, she eye one of the approaching goblin warriors and making a hideous face, spits in his direction.
Daze, Will Save DC 14
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
Nar'a stares down one of the goblins and for the moment he is stopped in his tracks.
Titinambule disappears behind a stack of crates, a rainbow of colors beginning to appear around his hands.
Kror, happily enjoying this new party, charges the seeming leader of the goblins and his axe easily cleaves through him. He falls, bleeding out on the street.
FreeDM Galt also charges in, sword glinting in the firelight and cut down another of the goblins.
Saif and Cedric are up next
Cedric Freeson |
Cedric moves and throws another bomb where he can hit the most goblins and none of the allies.
Attack(touch): 1d20 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6
DM ShadowBloodmoon |
No worries, I hope you're feeling better..
Saif's weapon sweeps a deadly arc over the head of one of the last remaining goblins in this area. It misses, but Cedric's bomb does not, sending the goblin flying past Saif to sprawl onto the side of a shop front.
All of the goblins in this area are down, but you know that Kerak went by himself to take on the other group...
Top of the next round, Sativon, Cedric, Galt, Nar'a and Zenovia are up next.
Kerak, the Crab King |
I got this
-Posted with Wayfinder
Sativon Preitan |
Sativon keeps his bow at hand, jumps down off the wagon and moves, as swiftly as he can whilst still being stealthy, towards the sounds of battle. He uses everything he can to provide some cover or concealment, stalls, shops, buildings, people, horses, wagons, etc. If he can use it to prevent anyone from seeing him, he does.
Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Not sure about how far away the other group is, but I'd like Sativon to try and enter the area under stealth, and quickly find a position of cover or concealment.
