Hmmmm I'll see what I can throw together, so all paizo material is kosher? So monsters as PCs are kosher? What about alignment restrictions? What about the game breaking Leadership feat?

Middle Aged Halfling Master Summoner sounds like oodles of fun.
I'll toss up a character shortly.

I'd love to play this guy he was built using a 15 point buy instead of rolling, but I would hope that would disqualify him as obviously didn't optimize his stats.
| Helshan Korvel |

|
Here's my submission for Helshan Korvel the top hat wearing Halfling Carny Master Summoner. Probably the most fun I've had writing a back story in ages.
I can spin up a quick crunch whenever. But for role purposes he'll be throwing his Eidolon into combat at level 1 while shooting things with a crossbow/sling and summoning tons of monsters. At higher levels he'll use it as a flying mount while reigning death from the skies and cackling like a loon.
He found an ancient tablet and what did the tablet do? Well it began to speak to him. It asked to be fed it hungered for blood. So what did Helshan do? Well he pricked his finger and wiped some blood on the creepy tablet that's what he did, because Helshan is like that partially insane, insatiably curious, and quite possibly mildly retarded.
In any case the ominous ancient tablet of unfathomable dark and mysterious power's hunger sated for the time being offered Helshan his freedom. Curious Helshan decided to fetch his master as all issues regarding the relinquishing of rightful property rights must have the consent of properties holder.
Upon retrieving his master the Chelish Noble was enraged that the mere halfling servant had been poking around in the forbidden section of his study and drove into a long angry tirade about the word forbidden and how when it's combined with the word section holds a particularly easy to grasp connotation.
Around hour 3 into his berating the horrible ancient tablet of unfathomable arcane power suddenly crumbled to dust and Helshan heard the words echo through t his mind "I set you free" as a strange rune was suddenly inscribed upon his head.
What Helshan found even more peculiar than the strange new rune that adorned a top his forehead was the sudden appearance of a extra-planar beast that can only really be described as a giant rainbow colored platypus.
Helshan was even more astounded when the Strange platypus suddenly inexplicably attacked his master slaying him with a few vicious snap of is deadly bill and sharpened claws.
Helshan was however not at all surprised when he discovered shortly after as his masters blood pooled on the ground that the odd new creature could talk. They soon introduced each other and became fast friends.
Languishing over his masters death stricken with the devastating grief of freedom from a lifetime of toil and oppression Helshan decided to leave Imperial Cheliax firstly to travel the countryside with his new friend and secondly because he was also quite likely wanted for murder and the possible thievery of his former masters incredibly fine hat.
Over time he discovered his new inherent power to call forth a multitude of creatures as if out of thin air and put his skills to use teaching his rainbow platypus to preform exciting stage tricks as he pulled birds and various other animals out creatures out of his own fine hat.
He often has a penchant for near suicidal acts daring and enjoys terrorizing young children.
I may or may not throw in another character for submission later as well.

Presenting Etohya, a female half-elf druid. Her parents were a Shoanti tribesman of the Hawk Clan and an elf of one of the druid communities in the Churlwood.
Here's the backstory (wow, this turned out longer than I originally planned). Can do a quick crunch if/when needed.
Unlike many half-elves, Etohya didn't face prejudice or discrimination due to her mixed race. The druids viewed this as simply part of nature, and the Shoanti believed that it allowed her to transcend the bounds of the individual races. Etohya's upbringing was steeped in the natural traditions of the druids and Shoanti. She easily learned the druidic arts from her mother, and grew into a well-respected member of the druid community.
While most of the druids were content to remain in the forest, Etohya's Shoanti blood gave her a more restless nature. Periodically visiting her father's clan wasn't enough to satisfy her wanderlust. After learning of its location from the Shoanti, she travelled south to the town of Galduria to learn about how civilization affects the natural land. Etohya would make several more journeys to the town, learning of Sandpoint's Swallowtail Festival during her latest visit. Curious about what the festival might be like, she obtained permission from the druids to attend.
Etohya had spent many years exploring through the Churlwood praying to the forces of nature for one, but this always resulted in silence. The answer she recently received was nothing she ever expected. While returning to the druid community with her father after visiting the Shoanti clan to inform him about her journey, the two were ambushed by a group of several bandits who plague the Churlwood. To save his daughter, Etohya's father shoved her away and commanded her to run while he drew his weapons and distracted the bandits. He was no match for the group of men, and they killed him while Etohya fled and hid. After the bandits left, she returned to try to find her father. She discovered him lying face down, lifeless, and riddled with arrows. She collapsed, her devastated sobs mixed with howls of fury. But her cries weren't unanswered. From directly above, a loud screech pierced the air drawing Etohya's attention. A hawk sat perched in a tree staring at her. At once, Etohya knew that her father's spirit had entered this hawk, and as she gazed up at it it flew to her, landing on her dead father's outstretched arm. Etohya had found her animal companion, naming it Kirri-Burkesh (or Kirri for short) after her father.
After the funeral of her father, the time came to begin her journey to Sandpoint.
Etohya's personality can best be described as serene. Like her father's clan, she prefers peaceful resolutions to conflict. However, nature can be cruel, and she understands that violence can't always be ruled out. She can be reserved due to her upbringing in a reclusive druid community, but her time with the Hawk Clan didn't leave her completely inexperienced in communication skills.

e-terah, you just say [dice] then the dice, and then /dice]
but with a bracket of course :) but we're not worried about crunch right now so don't stress it!
This is my first play by post game so I think we're going pretty easy on everything =)

Gatherine starting stats came out to 13,14,12,9,11,13...i'm not exactly sure how a gunslinger's modifiers go. I know that her being a dwarf she gets -2 Charisma coz she can be intimidating and +2 Con coz she's hardy.So...13 Str,14 Dex,12 Int,9+2=11 Con,11 Wis, and 13-2=11 Cha ?
I may be overthinking things...Ugh. Math! >:(

--------------------
SPECIAL ABILITIES
--------------------
Darkvision: Half-orcs can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Intimidating: Half-orcs receive a +2 racial bonus on Intimidate skill checks due to their fearsome nature.
Orc Blood: Half-orcs count as both humans and orcs for any effect related to race.
Orc Ferocity: Once per day, when a half-orc is brought below 0 hit points but not killed, he can fight on for one more round as if disabled. At the end of his next turn, unless brought to above 0 hit points, he immediately falls unconscious and begins dying.
Fast Movement (Ex): A barbarian’s land speed is faster than the norm for her race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when she is wearing no armor, light armor, or medium armor, and not carrying a heavy load. Apply this bonus before modifying the barbarian’s speed because of any load carried or armor worn. This bonus stacks with any other bonuses to the barbarian’s land speed.
Rage (Ex): A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells like bear’s endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.
While in rage, a barbarian gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the barbarian 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear
when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.
A barbarian can end her rage as a free action and is fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. A barbarian cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.
I was born in a Shoanti tribe called Shundar-Quah (Spire Clan). My mother never told me about my father and I never asked about him. I grew up with the clan without problems, they accepted me as a member of their tribe. I have learned their culture and traditions. I had had a very good life until 2 weeks ago, when my mother died in a mysterious way. The tribe blame me about this tragic event, saying that I entered in a state of rage and I killed her without pity. But I swear I did not do it. In this dark moment they gave me a choice, I could prove my innocence or die. I was confused and the only solution I found at that time was to run away. While I was running I had a question in my head, what to do now?
Since that day I have nightmares with the deformed face of my mom, I try to remember how was she but the only image I get is her deformed face.
Now I’m in the square looking at some food, elegant clothes, local crafts, and souvenirs. It´s new to me. My mind is full of fear, confusion and pain, but I know that my life must continue, I hope to find a new life around this place.

Been debating, but sure, I'll try to toss in a bid for Angren, Shoanti unarmed fighter. Raw stat rolls are at Invisible Castle
Angren is a giant of a man, standing 6'4" and built like a small mountain. He is shaved in the manner of his people, and his tattoos reveal his youth and inexperience. Recent scarring on his face, head, and chest have disturbed some of the straight lines of his blue and red markings.

Don't worry about the crunch, we can sort that out later :) If I saw that post before it looked like you did something odd and then deleted it? Don't stress that bit, it's really just a matter of what your characters are like right now. the crunch can wait :)

It was a tough call, but I'm going with...
Etohya
Tug Milkbeard
Jonas El'Adan
It was a very tough cut. I really wanted to pick the non-casting cleric, but I decided to go more traditional.
If you have not already, please post your stat block under your alias and when you are ready head over to the gameplay thread and roll initiative for the combat already underway.
Assume you were in the crowd, their is already a google map. If you feel comfortable feel free to add your image to the map in the location you would like to have been in the crowd (not within 15 feet of a goblin).
If you are not comfortable, I will make the image and place it on the map for you to be able to move once you have completed your stat block. If you have any questions, head on over to the discussion thread.
