Andoran

I will assume Tug is performing a coup de grace on one and Jonas on the other

Both creatures now lie dead on the ground.

female half-elf druid 2

Once the creatures are dead, Etohya puts her scimitar away and casts cure light wounds on Kirri.

Cure light wounds 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

sorry... yes, that was my intention

Tug looks around for something to wipe the gore from his weapon. He eventually settles for removing what he can with the toe of his boot. "Ech... Everyone alright? Let's see what's in this here room..." Tug enters the room from which the beasts came.

Andoran

This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testified by the nearly two dozen cells that line the room’s perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five-foot-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.

Male Human Magus 1

Jonas recasts his dancing light spell and begins to walk with the light to each of the cages lining the wall checking for anyone or anything unusual. Is Kirri doing ok?

female half-elf druid 2

"He'll be fine. He may be small, but his spirit is strong. Too strong, sometimes." Etohya shoots the bird a stern glare, but Kirri just hops around unconcerned. "Thank you for asking, though," she smiles at Jonas, surprised that a city-dweller would care about a creature of nature.

Andoran

You see Skeletons in most of the cells, seemingly ancient and many nearly dust. But you find nothing of particular value.

Andoran

Which direction would everyone like to go next?

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

Tug walks about the room, looking around... 'What was this place? Who built it?' "Well... shall we continue?" He moves to the east exit - eager to leave this room of forsaken dead. "You kids still have some fight in ya?"

Andoran

Ahead of you you see the hallway opens up into a fairly large room. This room contains several ancient relics of what appear to be torture implements, although their function and style seem strange and archaic. In one corner sits a spherical cage with spikes protruding inward from its iron bars. In another stands what appears to be a star-shaped wooden frame, its surface studded with hooks. And in the center of the room is a long table covered with leather straps and a number of cranks that seem designed to rotate and swivel.

Two doors lead out, one to the east and one to the south.

female half-elf druid 2

"Provided nothing much stronger than the creatures we've seen lies in wait, Kirri and I should be fine to continue."

Seeing the contents of the room ahead, Etohya sneers in disgust at the vile torture implements. "It was a violation of the earth to create a place of evil such as this. One moment while I prepare for what might lie beyond these doors." She bends down and picks up three small pebbles from the floor, then casts magic stone on them. They glow softly before fading, and Etohya grips them tightly, ready to throw at any foes.

Andoran

400 XP for each of you for the last encounter, we are using the fast progression if I didn't mention it earlier. Which direction are you proceeding, and how are you doing so.

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

"Welly well well well. What have we here?" Tug strolls around, and tries to determine how long the torture room has been out of use. (particularly taking note of condition of the leather straps)

After looking around, Tug moves to the east door. He glances to the others, then opens it and quickly shifts to his battle stance and war face.

Andoran

@Tug You see a set of stone stairs leading down.

Male Human Magus 1

Looks like the this place has a pretty gruesome history. I wonder how much the towns people know about what is directly under their feet.

female half-elf druid 2

"Maybe we should continue to explore this level to make sure no creatures surprise us from behind."

Male Human Magus 1

Yes, We should continue exploring.

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

Tug turns from his battle stance back to the group and nods. "Aye. I'm with ya on that." Tug shuts the east door, and moves instead to the south door. He opens it - ready for action again.

You open the door.

The crumbling remnants of several chairs and a long table clutter the floor of this room. To the south stand three stone doors, each bearing a strange symbol that resembles a seven-pointed star.

Map updated

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

After determining the lack of hostiles, Tug looks at the doors and scratches his head. "Eh... uhh. More doors... well maybe whatever we're facing down here is vulnerable to drafts! Ha ... you know .. all the shut doors and ... uh ehh. Lets take a second."
He starts rummaging through his satchel, retrieves and bites off a hunk of twice-baked spicebread. He then holds it in his mouth while pulling up his pants, and then starts tightening his belt. He pulls the spicebread from his mouth .. "All this dorn-dergar swinging... bout to lose me pants." takes another bite then stows it.

Male Human Magus 1

Jonas gives Tug a grin as he responds to the dwarfs joke. Or the doors where keeping them all locked away so they would never be able to harm man or beast. Jonas appears pensive for a moment. Seriously though I wonder what has kept them here. I imagine the towns folk would be aware of them if they wondered the streets. Do you think magic has kept them bottled up under ground for as long as these ruins appear to be old or are these things part of the forces arrayed against the town?

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

"Somebody knew this was down here. May have a secret order or some such. No point in sittin here speculatin. Let's see what we have here. Door number one!"
Tug moves to the left door and tries to open it.

Andoran

@ Tug -

You see a small cell with what appears to be a single skeleton of a badly deformed humanoid with three arms.

Male Human Magus 1

I will direct my light into the room following after Tug as we continue to explore.

Andoran

The room is a very small cell, shown on the map.

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

"Sorry to disturb you." Tug moves to the middle door. "Whelp. Door number two..." ... and he opens the door.

Andoran

You see another cell, this one containing another badly deformed skeleton, this one with an enormous misshapen skull.

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

"Eh... sooo next one. My money is on another freaky skeleton. What d'ya think? Big feet? Four knees?" Tug moves to the last door and opens it.

Andoran

You do indeed fine a third skeleto, this on has a ribcage that goes all the way down to its pelvis—a pelvis with stunted legbones strewn below its strangely flat girth.

female half-elf druid 2

"These are... disturbing... to say the least. I wonder what would have caused the deformities..." Etohya looks displeased at the unnatural skeletons.

Male Human Magus 1

Most likely magic maybe they where twisting these peoples bodies and minds to become what we have been fighting down here. What ever the case once we are done searching we need to get these poor unfortunates a proper burial outside of this evil place. Jonas turns from the room and continues to the next door and down the corridor.

Andoran

@Jonas - Move yourself where you want to go. If you can see it on the map you can move to it. The door in the room that goes to the stairs you can reach and proceed down the stairs, for example.

Currently you are in the middle of the room, so I am unsure where you wish to go.

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

Tug nods and smiles slightly... quite pleased to hear Jonas's suggestion. "Aye." He regains his focus and follows Jonas.

Andoran

You proceed down the stairs.

The ceiling of this strangely cold chamber arches to a vaulted height of
twenty feet. The floor contains eleven wooden lids strewn haphazardly
over eleven five-foot-wide pits in the ground. From the darkness within
these pits echo up strange shuffling sounds and, every so often, a low moan.

On the other side of the room, you see what appears to be a strangely mutated goblin fighter wielding a longsword.

Roll initiative

female half-elf druid 2

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Andoran

Jonas, you are up. Give me a rough idea of how you are proceeding into the room. If you can draw your path on on the map, that would be helpful.

Also, where are the dancing lights, relative to you.

Male Human Magus 1

I will try to cut off its escape. Jonas moves just past the stairs and to the right preparing his daze spell in case the goblin moves closer to attack or attempts an escape. You can assume that the lights are moving with me at this point just to make it easier. I'll step into the room and move to the side to clear the stairs for Tug and allow me the opportunity to cut it off if it decides to escape through the other door. I will prep my Daze spell as a standard action after taking my move action to get in position. I will attempt to daze the creature at the most opportune moment such as within a 5 foot step of me or a companion or before reaching the other door if possible.

Andoran

The mutant creature spews a line of foul-smelling and acidic blood from
his mouth.

Make a reflex save (dc 13 for 1/2 damage) and a fort save (DC 13 or nauseated for a round)

2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6

Tug is up.

Daze appears to have no effect.

Male Human Magus 1

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

OWW! It pukes acid.

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

Tug moves down the steps and scans the room. "One goblin?.. I don't believe it.. keep an eye out."

Male Human Magus 1

It is no ordinary goblin be careful of the noxious slobber it spews

Andoran

That all you are doing tug?

Dwarven Inquisitor 2

yea double move

Andoran

Ok, Etohya is up

female half-elf druid 2

Sorry for the wait!

Etohya and Kirri move forward to the room. She takes one of her enchanted stones and flings it at the disfigured goblin.

Magic stone 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22; Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

2 stones left.

Andoran

The stone strikes the mutant goblin in the chest, wounding him.

Jonas is up.

Male Human Magus 1

Jonas moves past the weirdly mutated goblin slashing at the creature to keep it back as Jonas continues his movement carefully working from one solid stone square to another until he is situated at the opposite side of the creatures. move 30' once at the creatures back fight defensively upping my AC to 18 and strike at the creature
Rapier: 1d20 ⇒ 161d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Andoran

The rapier pierces the strange mutants arm, but the wound seems to close slightly as he attacks Jonas with his longsword.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Tug is up.
