Something is afoot in Varisia. There have been a series of odd murders in a small town on the west coast called Sand Point and more recently the capital Magnimar, where even the lord-mayor was a target. A cult of serial murderers called the Skinsaw Men was uncovered and stopped. We have also received reports of more activity along the border.

I would like you to go see the lord-mayor of Magnimar. Assure him the Pathfinder society will do what we can to help him. Investigate these goings on and see if there is a common thread to all this unrest. We have a lot of interests in Varisia and would like to maintain the good graces of the government. I doubt the lord mayor will have you sitting around for long. It is a big place and inevitably something will need attention.

So how does that sound? A mission without a precise goal and with no guarantee of coin. Ha! Are you up for it?

I had summoned four for the rangers and Shalelu and one is under Jakardros. We should have ten horses but I only see nine. Do I need to pursue it? I will dismiss Enlarge if I do.

How far gone is he? Can we tie him up and bring him to the edge to question him? I know Sekkim wants to animate him so don't mutilate/behead him.

You can start by asking him how many are at the fort. Then ask him how many other bands are out patrolling the forest and are they heading towards the ferry. If he isn't helpful show him his fate!

I will cut a small green tree to make a pike out of and mount an ogre head on it. I will plant it in the ground here at this crossroad. I will then prepare another pike to carry with us with his head on it.

Jaagrath slits his throat unceremoniously and walks away from the brute and mounts his horse. "On to the fort, there is plenty more where he came from."

The Rangers have traveled this road hundreds of times and navigate the party in about four hours within a couple of miles from the Fort. Here you must abandon your horses (hiding their saddles, bags and bridles in a hidden cache). Cela transforms into a pony and tells them to make hast back to Turtleback Ferry. With the Rangers leading you stealthily make your way to a hidden cave entrance behind a waterfall. Cela helps conceal your entry with her horn of fog.

Area B12:
The floor of this cave is dotted with puddles. Patches of pale moss and fungus grow in sheets on the wall, while to the north, a five-foot-wide
passageway angles up into darkness. A walkway of soggy planks leads from this opening southeast to a second opening curtained by cascades of falling water.

I'd like to use the scroll of Animate Dead on him, with the bloody skeleton option. Leave the large great axe and the large chain mail on him.

Oh, will the varsuvian idols work with a necromantic summon? If so I'd like to add that in.

Your idols will add +2 per HD when you summon. Can't use on animate dead.
