The necromancer begins to cast and tumbles to the ground, but still gets the spell off no damage so did a straight concentration Then he stands, as a nasty cloud fills the hall way, and spills out
all but Val and Unalaq make a fort save of 18 or be nauseated until you leave the cloud.
Fernus Stonecall |
Mini, I think it qualifies as Vigorous motion, so a 10+Spell Level to concentrate. Not that it probably mattered.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Ouch?
Fernus feels immediately sick as the waft of the noxious cloud fills his nostrils and he almost chokes in the vomit that comes up. He heaves on the ground, then stumbles as quickly as he can back up the stairs until he feels better.
Unalaq |
Not sure if there is room, but...
Unalaq rushes into the cloud to reach the necromancer.

With another quick movement, Val slides up beside the caster and takes a slash at him.
"You could simply stay down, then it might go better for you!"

Did he at least get some splash damage?
Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Tarinhil starts to turn green, and pushes his way forward to get out of the cloud, taking a deep breath of clean air and swallowing to keep his food down.
Move only, nauseated.
Bear aka Orlog |
Bear will move up and attack the prone man once.

"It's a crying shame you can't listen. If any of my friends are hurt, I will ensure you feel all of the pain and more...drawn out over time, if I must."
Who is to say if she means it, though most of her friends know she probably does not...it sounds good though. As she says it, she takes another shot at him.

"Ahhhhhhhh, Sarenrae bring forth your smiting weapon." He calls out as a scimitar appears next to the necromancer. The glowing scimitar swings at the necromancer.

"What have you done to me?!" The cleric calls out with anger in his voice.

"What did you think was wrong with him?"

She resists the urge to slit the curs throat there and then and lets Unalaq do the talking.
Fernus Stonecall |
Fernus retches some more upstairs and comes back after about 20 seconds of being really nauseaus and sick.
"If you're trying to help him and are experienced with the dead, why didn't you know the man we knocked out was infected with Ghoul Fever?"

Loarin Valeguard |
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
"A cleric of the light with delusions? What delusions?" Loarin wonders what half truths he will tell.
Unalaq |
Unalaq, not normally the brightest continual flame in the dungeon remarks dryly, "I think he's suggesting that he believes he should be able to create all the undead he wishes and that you're the crazy one if you think he can't. Whether creating undead is against the law or not, he should have turned you over to the sheriff, not imprisoned you himself. We should take him back to Sandpoint for trial. They may need to send him on to Magnimar."
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil asks, "I thought making undead was evil, even if not illegal? Dark energies and all that?"
He turns to the necromancer and asks, "Still, I'm more curious how you thought torturing a cleric of the light was going to 'help' him. Please explain. "
Unalaq |
"What say you Loarin? Was it torture? Regardless, we have accepted his surrender and taken him prisoner. I think our next step is to consult with the sheriff and then get back on the trail of these larger problems. It is likely he will have to be given over to the authorities in Magnimar to determine his innocence or guilt."
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil says, dryly, "Yes, and I'm very prone to believe the who just tried to kill me a few moments ago rather than trying to talk about that.... Doubly so when he's an admitted user of evil magic."
He turns his multifaceted eyes on the necromancer and says, "No wonder you didn't want me to use any magic earlier. Sadly for you, that means I have magic now.", and places his hand into a pouch, tightening around a Boro Bead, and willing his extract of Detect Thoughts to refill.
MiniGM |
What are you talking about I have never seen you until you invaded my work space.
The necromancer and the caretaker are not the same person.
There is nothing evil about raising bodies. Undead can be evil, but the use of Necromancy is not. After all any healing spell you use is a use of necromancy.
Unalaq |
Unalaq detects evil on the necromancer. :)
Unalaq |
"Yeah, he's evil. Time to go see the sheriff." Unalaq helps to tie him up and gag him. Unless he resists of course!
