Houserules:

Casting: When casting a spell defensivly if you fail you do not automaticly lose the spell, rather you provoke an attack as you normally would for not casting defensive. If you are hit you must make a concentration check dc 10+damage taken if you fail this check you lose the spell.

Fumble: If you roll a natural 1 on your attack roll, make a dexterity check. If you get less than 10 you fumble. If you get more than 10 your attack simply misses very badly. If you roll a natural 20 you get your attack back, roll another attack roll!

Super crits: If you roll a natural 20 on a critical and when you roll another 20 to confirm this is a super crit, increase your weapons modifier by 1. (ex: X2 becomes X3)

Rolls:
Many rolls will be handled by the GM in secret.(don't worry, I don't fudge.)
Any result that can influence the character behavior will not be rolled open.
Rolls that will be handled by the GM:
Perception
Sense Motive.

if you make the check I will send you a pm or make a post and put it in a spoiler depending on the situation.

Sometimes I will roll Initiative others I will ask you to roll depending on the situation. In some situation (rarely) I will bypass init entirely and have you all go first and enemies second or have enemies go first and you all go after.

Combat rules:
I'm a fair GM, I dont roll combat in secret, I don't change results, I don't ignore bad calls from the characters.
Sometimes, character dies, but I'm not a player killer, if I think that an encounter will be easy handled, when it should be more challenging, I will make it a more challenging, if the party it's not prepared to face something, I will drop hints, if they insist... well killing one or two players never made me lack sleep...

Actions:
I'm a GM that do not punish the character for trying something new or cool, or even strange. Visual appealing actions are encouraged, the dc will of course depend on what are you trying, but you can try! If what you want to do is wicked cool, I can even bend the game mechanics to allow it! The most importat part is: You are villains. Villains are smart, resourceful and have style! Have you ever seen a memorable villain that could just swing his sword and do nothing more?

Posting Rate
If it could be done, I expect 1/day posting, if you can post more, it will really good.
During weekend, this rule does not apply. If you are able to post, great! But dont stress over this, everyone need some time to rest (In my case, I need time to play and DM :D on my tabletop games).

Level up
Aside from character creation, when you level up, if you want something not from core rulebook, you'll need to search it inside the game. basicly what you need to do is just show in game your character is searching for that knowledge. This rule is not meant to prohibit anything, I just don't like something like this: "Character always as a full caster, never picked up a sword in his entire life, and then he gain a new level and says: Master, I'll level up as a fighter now..."

Are we hasted? I'll assume we are. Just take off from my attacks. Zadderk's absence and your posting for him threw me off guard. Here is my sequence of actions and buffs. Let me know if there is an issue:
-Heroism, me and Ayla, a while back (7 hrs).
-Archon's aura when I feel were about to engage (7 minutes; Will save (DC 17) to resist the effects of this aura. If the creature fails, it takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and saving throws and to Armor Class for the duration of this spell, or until it successfully hits you with an attack.)
-Inspire Courage +2 (mvA) and Divine Favor (StA) when Zadderk fires.

So Zadderk gets an extra attack and his first would also hit.
attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 261d10 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Will saves for ogres as they charge.

Note, the haste included Jakardos and one of the other Black Arrows, who also got in extra attacks.

After casting his illusion, Lord Zohan says, "Hmmmpf! As of now, all but enchanted arrows are useless on the shaman. If your bow isn't enchanted, save your arrows for the ogre henchmen!"


Hmm yeah assuming you don't haste yourself your good to do that. Assume 2 rounds of haste has passed. You casted it everyone got into positions and then they started shooting. With the additional attack he is more wounded but still above 50%

-Heroism on Ayla and Karla +2 hit, saves and skills
-Divine Favor on Karla +2 Hit and Damage
-Defending Bone DR 5/Bludgeon on Karla
-Archon's aura on ogre 3 for now -2 hit, saves and AC at least, until he hits me.

Karla frowns as the ogres don't seem too affected by her aura. She sneers as she trudge hideously towards them: "Let's give them a Varisian welcome... AIM BETWEEN THE LEGS!!!" she yells in a stern and cutting voice.

When they approach, she can't escape the onslaught, and thanks her Lord for the defending shield that protected her from the worst of the attack. She pushes herself to step forward and her father's sword swirls eerily in her grip, as if it were but a twig, and comes crashing towards the ogre's shoulder, but then she brings it back up and between the legs, in line with her own advice.

As she feels her first blow connect, she releases the spell stored in the blade, and a wave of negative energy courses through the ogre, sapping his life away.

53 damage, + another 16 or 8 depending on the save.
ISW, Will DC 17 for half: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) + 7 = 16

Then, quick as lightning thanks to Lord Zohan, she follows up with a downward swing as the ogre bends to grab his gems.

Karla manages to bring down one of the ogre workers.
That's all Ayla does? What about Delian.


Ayla's hoping an ogre goes down so she can get by easily.
So in otherwords start her movement to the shaman.

"Clear Lady Ayla a path gents!" shouts Delian to the Black Arrow Rangers.


Delian please have your current hp under your name and quick reminder that Ayla took 15 damage and Delian took 20. I will assume Delian takes a 5 step back to not provoke an attack for shooting while threatened.

Zadderk shoots at the shaman again and The black arrows and Shalelu target the closest worker. (last time I actually forgot all the black arrows have favored enemy ogre. I calculated that in.)

Ogre 3 takes a bolt from Delian but is barely hurt.

Ogre 1 attack Ayla and Ogre 3 steps to the side and attacks Karla.

The other ogres attack the illusionary bears.

Two of them figure out that the bears are fakes and they inform they comrade of the fact.

The shaman who has taken a beating to these arrows sees his ward is useless and flees using dimension door to get to safety.

You can all post again. Before he fled the shaman was pretty badly injured.

Springing up, Delian shouts "Quickly! he's probably going to bring the workers from the other side, and our outliers will be overwhelmed. We need a formation to hold the gate!"

Delian will then stow his crossbow and draw his hidden dagger while moving onto the bridge.


Karla turns to the ogre that attacked her as she steps sideways and avoids its nasty hook: "Sorry boy, but if you think a lass will just sit there and let you grope her with that hook of yours, you've got another one coming!!" she cries as she swings her sword first sideways and, moving to her left, brings the sword up on her right, aiming for this ogre's privates.

Alya will grapple an ogre to

Karla takes down another ogre worker and Ayla manages to grab hold of the last worker close to the group.

In the meantime a fireball explodes in the sky far above and the three who were distracted by the illusion are hesitating staying back for now.

You can all go again.


With a warcry, Karla rushes forward while Ayla controls the last ogre, beaming for the next group.


If no ogre challenges her and she can get in close range, she'll use Murderous Command. (She's maintaining her IC this round.)


Alya goes for a pin on the ogre

Greater Grapple: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22 (pinned)

And then tries to punch it.

Delian will take up a position near the central building on the dam and wait for reinforcements before moving in.

After several seconds are up, the hound archon Pfistero appears in the space next to the ogre being pummeled by Arya. Lord Zohan bids it help fell the human-eating ogres and it attacks. First, the ogre is bathed in the creature's aura of menace [ooc](DC 16 Will save or suffer -2 on attacks, saves and skill checks). Then the celestial being swings it's greatsword twice before trying to bite the ogre.

sword 1st: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 2 = 23 dmg: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 3) + 5 = 12

sword 2nd: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 2 = 25 dmg: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5) + 5 = 13

bite: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 = 19 dmg: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

For his part, Lord Zohan fires an acid dart at the same ogre, taking the penalty to avoid hitting Ayra or Pfistero.

and off into the sky his energy dart flies, sizzling when it arcs back to the water below.

Karla keeps running forward, her metal armour and gear rattling loudly with her movement. She looks determined like some kind of juggernaut out of the abyss, but she suddenly stops and shouts to her father's sword: "My Lord, seed confusion in the heart of these miserable tools! Let thy work be done in the greatest of chaos; force one against his brother!"

Move, then cast Murderous Command (Will DC 15: the target attacks its nearest ally on its next turn with a melee weapon or natural weapon. If necessary, it moves to or charges to the nearest ally in order to make this attack) on a worker in the middle of the pack coming at me.

Delian will move into a flank and aid other the person he's flanking with, helping them to focus on striking effectively.

basically, whoever is closest to him will get the flank.

Aid other attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 success!
