Volkar heard the chatter from behind the door, then the barking of the goblin patrol. He fingered briefly one of the casks, but decided it would be best to wait for the adventure that lies within the keep. When he saw Daelric run forward, he hesitated then followed his brother dwarf into battle.

Volkar steps in with his ax, following behind Daelric. Although he connects, it is nowhere near the magnificent strike of his brethren, and only leaves a slight gash along the goblin dogs foreleg.

As the goblin enters melee, it seems to be doing everything it can just to remain on the back of the dog.. and spends its first few moments clinging to the dogs back with both hands.
The dog on the other hand, bites out at Volkar!

Andrezi casts a spell on Volkar, lending him some divine aid, while Daelric attempts to duplicate his efforts on the next pair of enemies.
His ax smashes home, killing the dog instantly. The goblin tumbles to the ground, landing prone in the dirt and thistles.

With one last mighty chop, Volkar puts an end to the downed goblin before it can rise from the dirt.
Suddenly, the keep doors fly open, heralded by the squeals and cries of a goblin war party. It seems that the defenders have finally found their courage, and sallying forth against the invaders!!

Andrezi barely misses his mark as the goblins rush from the doors, then misses again on the backswing!
No worries, man! And I actually think I need one more attack from you from the opening salvo.
Volkar smashes his goblin with a solid hit, putting itt down for the count.
Unfortunately, Daelric isnt as lucky.
Kiera though, comes through with a sizzling ball of acid that causes one of the goblins to scream out in pain.
The goblins continue their suicidal rush against the party!

I bring my shield up in time to block the Goblins attack and then strike again at the Goblin before me, hoping that this time I am able to catch him before he can evade my blow.

Daelric is using his ax to fence with the goblin, while Kiera tries abother blast of acid, but it goes nowhere.
Kiera: No, Squeeze rules went out as soon as yall approached the bridge on the mainland side. This is all open brush.

Yet again I am able to avoid the Goblins attack, though this time I am able to simply lean out of the way of the strike, at which point I swing with a strike of my own. "Khruur rhal, Haakec! Khruur rhal ar ach!"

But the Goblin is able to bring his blade around midswing and catch my axe, sending it off course.

Sorry about the delay. I had a busy weekend, and a rough start to this week.
Volkar vanquishes his foe with a mighty swing of his ax, severing the beasties head. Daelric fences with his goblin some more, throwing in a verbal riposte, while Andrezi knocks another goblin over the head and dropping him. Kiera, on the other hand, continues to be more of a threat to her surroundings than to the enemy! The concerted efforts of the team have brought the goblins from superior numbers down to very much outnumbered, and the remaining two flee frrom the battle, heading back inside the keep!
Daelric and Volkar both get an AOO vs green!

Volkar followed a few steps after the fleeing goblin and swung his ax at its back.
But his blade missed. He continued to move forward, and stopped at the gate to the keep.

If green should happen to fall to Daelric, I still have 10 foot of movement and can get to yellow.

For now, I am going to apply that strike to the green goblin, however, should Daelric make his AOO, we can shift your target to the yellow one and finish them both off.
Volkar misses his swing, but Andrezi chases him through the gate and cracks the goblin over the head with his staff, splitting it like an over-ripe melon.

As my fencing partner turns to flee, I swing my axe at him, muttering about him being a coward.

Good enough for me. That leaves both fleeing goblins dead at your feet!
Between Daelric and Andrezi, the fleeing goblins are cut down quickly before they can get too far.

As the party catches up, you can see that there are many doors leading from this singular entrance hall. All of them are closed.. for now.. but there is a large double door the the west, a smaller single door in the angle of the north western wall, and another double door next to it. There is also a hall leading to the east, towards what may be more doors.
If you want to examine anything, I will need perception rolls, please. Trust me, the dice gods have been hating lately, and you do not want me rolling anything for yall!!!

The group moves through the entryway, trying to find some defensible spot to rest with full dark finally dropping its heavy hand over the island. The doors all appear to be unlocked, and the only noises seem to be coming from the door in the left hand corner of the north wall, through which the sounds of some more goblin dogs reach your astute ears. They are barking, scratching, and fighting.. but do not seem to be pawing at your door or taking notice of you.

If forgot to note that with those perception rolls, you would notice that one of the daggers used to tack the large batwing to the wall looks a bit more ornate than the others.. finely crafted with a pearl handle.
Where to from here, guys? There are some defensible options here within the keep, or you can move back across the bridge and camp there. I would suggest not climbing back down the cliff in the dark though. Up to yall.

Carefully examining the dagger shows that it is well used, but also well made. It should fetch about 100 gp in the market.
Daelric: I believe Kiera stated above that she was out of spell slots for the day, leaving her with just the cantrips.
