Volkar felt the tap on his should and a burst of energy that chased away the pains and fatigue that he was experiencing. He lunged out at the goblin with his ax.

Kiera finally gets her dagger to fly forward, but it unfortunately misses her target.
Volkar manages to quit fencing and smashes his gob right in the face, adding to the creatures attractiveness twofold as it drops dead at his feet!
Daelric ends his streak of brutal killing blows with a miss on his target.
Andrezi tries to add to the carnage, but his bold goes straight into the dirt.

Annoyed that I missed my last attack on the greenskins, I realise that my arm is starting to ache slightly, "Must be from the repetitive swinging at low critters." I try to soldier through the pain and attack the Goblin again, hoping for a different outcome this time.

I bring my axe up yet again and bring it down hard upon the Goblins head.

My axe connects with the creatures head and gets lodged within it, so I wrench it out hard and flick off any remaining blood, bone and grey matter.

With one final smack, Daelric clear off the last of the goblins. Upon closer inspection, these goblins are dressed and ornamented the same as the ones that attacked Sandpoint just a few days ago.. it seems that you have found the few survivors of the attack.

Digging through the corpses, you find nothing of interest, other than that these goblins all have new (ish) bruises and all seem malnourished. A sudden hush falls over the tunnels now that the desperate battle has finished.

"Thank the Oath-Keeper that's over with, that is a few less Goblins to raid Sandpoint." I look around the area to see if there is anything of interest, if there isn't then I take my lace at the front of the group again and start to follow the pathway.

Daelric doesn't find anything else of interest in the cavern, just the refuse and debris left from many goblins sharing a small and confined area. Moving out from the dead end, they turn east and move slowly forward to the next cavern. Three thistle tunnels open into a large cave-like chamber. Above, the thorny canopy grows thin enough that tiny slivers of the sky above can be seen, while below, the ground consists of trampled dirt. To the west, the distant sound of sloshing waves echoes up from a hole.

Looking into the hole:
You cannot see very well into the dark cave, but you can tell that is a very long ways to the water below. You think you can see a shelf off to the side, as well as a tunnel to either side.

"I think we need to figure out how best to get over to the keep, without attracting more attention." Volkar said as he looked about. "Really wanted to use a cask with that group, but figured we can't go off making too much noise."

Volkar walked about the hole, nodded at Daelric's explanation and then headed to the opening in the thistles to the south. He listened at the junction to see if he could hear anything.

Kiera purses her lips and rubs her chin for a moment, then says, "I wonder if this connects with that sea cave that we saw. Well, no matter. Let's keep looking for a way across to the island."

The group decides to leave the hollow for later, and moves deeper into the complex, squeezing and crawling through paths well traveled and easily traversed by their smaller quarry. From his vantage, Daelric can hear slavering and slobbering sounds through the wall next to him. Several somethings that sound really hungry reside on the other side of the tunnel wall..

Stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Volkar moves forward, trying to scout out the next step. He carefully peers around the corner to see another junction of tunnels. An open area dominates the north, while a well worn track continues to the east. As he gets closer though.. a sudden ruckus erupts from deeper into the open area. What sounds like several dogs begin braying and howling, snapping and biting.

Volkar paused. He fished into a belt pouch and pulled out one of the curing extracts. He uncorked the thin vile and swallowed it's contents qucikly. He waited and felt a flush of warmth and energy radiate outwards.

"Only if they block our way over to the island," says Kiera. "We should definitely drive out these goblins as they're too close to Sandpoint anyway, but goblin-dogs may make you sick if they bite you, and it'll just be harder to achieve our goal if you're spending the next few days with a fever and delirium. So I think we should deal with them later, and see if we can get around them for now."

Volkar and Kiera lead the way. As they move into the central area, they can now see that 4 goblin dogs are chained up within the clearing to the north. With prey in sight, they throw themselves against their ties, trying to break free and attack the intruders. Their howling reaches a new pitch in their frenzy.

"Well, we should make sure it's safe if we can, I guess, but it's the only way over unless you want to make a long detour for me to find someone who knows the spider climb spell so that I can climb straight up the side of the island and unspool a bunch of rope for the rest of you," says Kiera cheerfully.

As the companions turn north towards the bridge, a small bird darts past them through the tunnel, heading for the bridge. As you wonder what that was about, a sudden shout behind you lets you know that you have been found. With a sudden roar, a goblin dressed in skins and bone ornaments bursts through the wall of the tunnel, a fire pelt cougar at his side.

Sorry I didn't post the last couple of days, I have been unwell and my medication has made me bedridden and extremely drowsy and dizzy. Hoping to push through it today though. Also, DD it is not a huge error but my Perception is 10, not 9.

As soon as I see the enemy appear and attack Kiera, I rush next to the creatures side, but due to the suddenness of the attack I am unable to swing my weapon without hitting Kiera too.

I believe it is only a Move or Standard in a Surprise round and I cannot charge as I didn't have a clear path. Also I purposefully started moving passed it, so I would draw it's Attack of Opportunity, giving Kiera the opportunity to retreat in safety.

Quick follow-up update. I'm nearing the end of what has been written so far. I feel like there are a couple things from the first book I want to add in for... Reasons.

Volkar, I understand that you have been placing the crunch of your actions behind spoilers. That is commendable, but I guarantee that I will miss your actions more than is suitable for a GM. Might I enjoin you to try a format for those like Andrezi?

I'm also keenly aware of teh timeline with respect to some of the other things that are happening in the world of Golarion at this point. So certain thigns are going to be more difficult to access. Shouldn't impact you, but I thought I should mention it.

Everyone: is your equipment list up to date? I'm referring to the one on your characters. If there are items available in the "party treasury" that have not been liquidated, I either need assurances that someone is going to become party treasurer and will be keeping up-to-date online records, or I need someone to comb through and figure out who, what, where and how. I'm not so much worried about ordinary loot; but special loot, like the Siehedron ring and pendant, those are of interest to me. It seems as if Volkar has the ring; has anyone grabbed the pendant?

Here is Ullogash. As for some sort of introduction (I have not yet caught up on where you are at in the story) but Ullogash could be seen among the woods fighting with and observing the Goblins. Not necessarily out of a sense of righteousness but more of a sense of his orcish heritage and need to prove who is stronger.

While he has been seen around Sandpoint he spends little time there as folks are usually generally scared of his appearance. besides the natural orcish appearance his body is very scarred from surviving a terrible disease as a child. This disease is what makes him feel like he has some sort of strength to prove to everyone, including himself.

Yea, never played a half-orc before so playing up a bit gruff due to that nature and also the spending tons of time on his own. Trying to take the long road of showing him that true strength lies in working as a team rather than finding strength on his own.

GM sorry for not giving you much to work with for an intro. I just got time to sit down and think it out.

Shera's in Sandpoint because there's nothing left of her village. She's pretty sure it was giants that destroyed it. Not many creatures have that size of feet.

She was away guarding a delivery for Merle's Mercantile when the village was attacked. Her home and job went up in smoke. Having no place else to go she's landed in Sandpoint. She's only been in town this time for a couple of days. She's listening for rumors of giants being near, and she's looking for work it's been a while since she's had any coin coming in. Ameiko would know her from staying overnight a couple of times at the Rusty Dragon while waiting for Merle's supplies to get loaded up.

While in Sandpoint she didn't cause trouble, and tipped well at the Inn. She had a reputation in her village as being a steady person who would do her job well.

Making light of her half-elven heritage or her draconic bloodline is guaranteed to get you an intimidating look, and some choice words. Continuing will get you into a fight, and she fights to win.

In case you had not noticed, I'm experiencing a bit of a slowdown. Not because I'm getting tired of Pathfinder, but because I am getting home rather late and posting from work is proving to be a little difficult.

I am currently employed by a biotech company that is involved in medical diagnostic devices. As such, the protocols I must follow are rather strict. The product I am working on at this stage requires that I run a test in the AM and then the same test at least two hours later. This test has run about three hours between prep and actual testing. And then I have been dragged into meetings about the next phase of the project, other people's projects, etc... All that to say that I have not forgotten about you, and indeed I want to continue/finish our game. But at times things might be a bit slow.

Hey folks, sorry for the pause. Last couple of weeks had me all over the place with this past t 2-3 weekend spent in the Orange County and LA area with my 18 yr old dau who had an audition for Disney park characters. She got cut, but we did a lot of recon on options to get into the costuming and design business side of the parks. So, while she will graduate with both a HS diploma and AA this June, it looks like she is going to be heading to Santa Ana College to get a second AA or AS in fashion design and costuming. Dad is pretty happy, as with her transferring credits, she may be able to get a 4yr degree within about 2.5 yrs. Gotta say, each of my three are so different in their approaches to thing. lol, parenting, it's an adventure.

So, back to where posts should be a bit more predictable.
