Also, is it reasonable for Demaiv to know that if a paladin willingly commits an evil act he loses his powers, and since he has his powers, he hasn't knowingly done something evil?
DC 10 Religion check. If your character isn't in combat or another perilous situation, you can just take a moment and think about it.
Demaiv, since it looks like everyone can take a hit still, if your game, then it'll keep zinging your wisdom. But I'm not rolling the 1d4s it keeps suggesting. Ye-ouch!
Hey. Just wanted to give a heads up. Been a busy few days, and lots of jkids activities on the weekend. Been able to keep up on the campaign activities through my blkbry but not able to concentrate enough to post some relevant actions...I am around and keeping up, just wanted to let you know I hjave not disappeared. I'll post asap.
Since clubs do not have a price listing, and in fact the D&D 3.5 corebook said a club is just a piece of wood that can be gotten anywhere, so I'd rule the anywhere there is wood that can be handled like a club, is a club, not an improvised weapon. Of course, trying to do what Tablark did in a public place might get you fined...
The Dagger is masterworked
Chamber Number 1: potion of lesser restoration (5 uses)
Chamber Number 2: You don't know, but considering chamber number 1 is a beneficial and otherwise safe spell, Adanel gets the feeling that chamber 2 is also safe and beneficial. (5 uses)
Ancient Flask: Cure moderate wounds (7 uses)
Note: For these checks, I will also take Appraise, Spellcraft, Knowledge: Arcana, and possibly other skills where applicable (like Knowledge: Nature on a staff that looks really nice but primitive and druid-ey)
Sounds good. I'm just excited I got some more use out of the little bit of alchemy I gave him. I'll type a post after a bit having him explain the benefits of what he found.
Yeah sorry, my weekends are always busy. I haven't even been able to keep up with GMing my own group hah. Weekdays are better for me, cause I have most of the day to myself hah.
Höd Ronoakson(Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle 1 (Battle Mystery))
Honestly, I don't feel like we have enough info. I just don't know what we're supposed to do. Maybe if you could give us longer posts that hint at several options for us to explore.
Also, How long until we get to Runelords story? I don't mean to rush, but I really do want to play that AP. I'm sure the current is fun, I just don't know what to do to advance the story.
Rise of the Runelords has TONS of dungeons that don't really have ANYTHING to do with the story. And I'm not skipping nothing. And I will be adding in stuff; I said that in the third sentence of the recruitment thread, and that is because, at least originally, the APs were designed to have stuff added in between issues. And I like that.
I like this as a starter dungeon to:
A. Bring the party together
B. See how well people roleplay.
This is a mystery dungeon. As a mystery dungeon, the way to escape is to solve the mystery.
Keep moving. 'Most' rooms have a clue in them.
Talk to the NPCs, and use your social skills (Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Sense Motive) and Perception on them.
Where the HELL is that gnome? And the halfling?
Also, there are a few (maybe just one) red herrings.
Heh, someone would be more correct to think that I have seen too many other movies and games with hidden messages and arcane symbols put in inconspicuous places.
@Hod: No, at the saving throw. If she does not succeed at the saving throw, she becomes violently ill, thus interrupting her, thus meaning the door doesn't open.
That's fine! :) People are more than welcome to do what they want and will when it comes to gaming. Since this now is a moot point, I think I'd rather let sleeping dogs lie than poke the hornet's nest anymore, even if I do have my own wondering. Good day!
Okay new recruits. The first discussion post is what I want from you, except for the house rules, those are now set in stone. Here are the ones that passed:
1 No one will have to confirm critical hits.
2 On non-combat related skill checks, rolling a 1 is considered to be a -5 instead, On non-combat related skill checks, rolling a 20 is considered to be rolling a 25.
5 HP at 1st level: You get maximum HP, and add your Constitution score & modifier to your HP.
6 When rolling HP at later levels: If you roll a 1, you treat it as a 2.
It dawns on me that we never did do contacts, and no one complained about that, so unless someone was actually secretly loving it, I'm dropping it.
Thanks so much for recruiting Leya, I've been keen on playing through a RotRL pbp for awhile now. :] Unfortunately I've got to head off to work now, but afterwards I'll finish up Leya's sheet and get back to you on here!
All right, partially updated. To be honest, the prospect of going through the core rule book and apg to pick out page numbers my characters gear is on is a little daunting, but i'll have that stuff squared away shortly. cost and weight is already accounted for, for the most part.
