I've started the update for the rogue - skills are really all I'm missing. I will have to look at the platter closer, but since our insane little goblin called Trickster, I'll look into doing something different. Might go Champion since the cat's kind of a melee build.
The posting rate doesn't bother me - I've been checking the thread as often as the players have, based on the posting rate I've seen. I just need to get Drewan built for that first post, and all will be good.
cool. Dont forget your bonus trait. And can you pop your interview answers into your profile as well. I am hoping to give as much feedback in the playtest as I can for this, so I do appreciate it if you all do different paths
Blamo-Trickster
Dewan-Champion?
Spes-Heirophant?
Also a reminder for level 2 when we get there. HP are rolled. You get to roll twice and take the higher of the two rolls.
Glad to have you Ainvar, and more glad that I asked you if you wanted to join up if we had an opening!

Yeah I'll go Heirophant though, I may take the epic feat so that I can get the Guardian abilities as well and score some epic DR (Heirophant only gets it conditionally or to summons and the like)
I will do a round of botting if needed just before I leave the airport later this morning. Then I will be on an international flight so there might be a long delay.

I think that sort of answered your question, Drewan.
I wonder if we'll ever see that orc and two goblins again.
I forget what I'm supposed to do when I hit PC level 1. We don't do anything, yeah? Or NPC class is already our level 1. Or when we hit PC level 1, do we start taking whichever is higher of the two retroactively? Or do we add everything we get from the PC on top of the NPC?
From the original recruitment thread:
MiniGM wrote:
Yes you do get your first level feat. Youstart with everything you get for the level of the npc class, once you hit level 1 you will add the other bonuses from the PC class. So you will add bonuses to saves, possibly hit points etc.
On the note about hit points max to start, then roll twice each following level and take the high. er of the two rolls
Level 2 is more clear because, if I recall correctly, it's just 'get whichever is better from either of the two classes'.
So if you have a better Fort save from your PC class, take that. If your NPC class's Ref save is better, then you also take that. For skill, just take whichever is higher of the two. Same with HP. And so on.
Blamo you get everything from your PC class now that is better than your NPC class. Not sure on expert alchemist
but for example a warrior going rogue. Would get more skill points, a bonus to reflex save sneak attack, trap finding and could use the hand crossbow.
Not sure what you get. I think you might get another skill, but you get the extracts the bombs, and better saves, and mutagen etc.
Basically it is the same idea as level 2, but youjust get to do that for level 1 now.
Does that make sense?
Also you get to add your mythic tier on top of that.
After you are set up each of you will wake up in a tent with only each other in it. Your gear is carefully stowed in a chest at the foot of your bed. Blamo is in the North corner, Spes the south, William the East and Derwin the West.
Also knowing what you know about mythic and your weakness etc, please describe your dreams.

Just a note for the GM - my plan was to gestalt warrior and ninja, but you told me to put a level of rogue on. I assumed that was intentional and you did not want to use the ninja class. Was that correct?
And you mentioned a bonus trait - I forgot to look that up and get it figured out - I will try to do so soon.

I'll tweak to make him a ninja, then. Should not be a lot of changes at only first level...
When you get a chance can you include him as a character in the game? I think that might be why it's not taking the poor kitty to the top of my alias list.

Hmm... the only difference between a first level rogue and a first level ninja, apparently, is flavor and the exchange of trapfinding for poison use. I did not realize they were so close.
Oh, and the weapon proficiencies are completely different, of course.

I did not create that from whole cloth.
I actually lifted a bunch of stuff off for it:
The italicized quotes are from actual alchemy material, albeit with edits and some additional Ye Old Englishe styling on some of them because all Blamo read was that type of old book.
"The fire that giveth Life and Reality, and beholde, the secret fire burnt at the heart of the world." is a direct quote from J. R. R. Tolkien on the Secret Fire from his mythology.
"This fire will be poured upon the earth…" as well as "…and earth will separate from fire.…" are from the Emerald Tablet of Hermes, albeit different translations of it.
Aside from that, repurposed some lines from other works. The 'He is Thinker, Utterer…' is from the part with Pointland of Abbott's Flatland and "he was burned, or [was] about to burn […] still on fire." from Richard Siken's Straw House, Straw Dog.

So random thought: As a priest I get 3 domains: Knowledge is free and 2 to choose, can I take an Inquisition in place of one of the 2 domains I take? )

lolz true, but spend the mythic point to go a second time in a round and it helps to make sure that you go before they go their first time. I set up a monk that grapples, pins, and ties up an opponent in the first round of combat by going twice.
random thought, would my adept class be considered divine or arcane? It gets spells from both lists so I thought I would ask. It may affect one of my abilities a little as well as a potential prestige class I might take.
Male Gripplis Adept/1 Priest/1 AC(12/12/11) HP 15/15 Fort +1, Ref +1, Will +7
well, yes and no. Priests aren't required to take a deity which doesnt make sense considering that its a divine power. But in any case, I'll play it out. Getting a deity makes a whole lot more sense than RAW.
