I think I could still do it. I'd just have to have a scroll of Enervate instead of Truestrike.

Arcane Surge to cast Truestrike on Familiar with Share Spells.

Mythic Initiative to cast Truestrike on myself with a scroll.

Cast Truestriked Enervate.

Have familiar use Scroll of Enervate on it's turn.

More expensive in terms of resources, but still, 2d4 negative levels that don't miss is an encounter-ender. Might be worth it at some point.

So who is going to be making the primary intimidate check?

And yeah, she was overconfident about being able to go home. With an init that can hit forty, decent perceptions and an SU teleport power and a great AC (thanks to mythic dodge), it seemed like she would be.
Grey soaked the mythic dodge and then flat footed and #$%^*ing Prayer meant she got hit.

Bluff I can do. Intimidate and diplomacy, not so much.

Although I can certainly add in some special effects to aid whomever is taking point.

Sure thing, Forsten has a -1 due to his charisma and not enough skill points to go around.

I'll give you a bonus for the head/body, and a bonus for special effects.
You are going to get a penalty because these Fey don't take humans seriously.

As to content, what I said before pretty much which boils down to fall in line or get out, further shenanigans will be met with appropriate punishment.

I didn't get the impression there were a bunch of other fey around during that fight.

GM, do you want to set the scene for me to write a quick scene, or do you want me just to make the check and let you handle the aftermath?


The only other Fae 'here' is Melianse.
Her 'army' is waiting in and around the nearby keep.
That's still a little distance off.
The Fey are in that.

Ok, I think I get it. My evening is a little busy, but I'll try to get the post in tonight. If that doesn't happen I'll have it up tomorrow morning.


Given this check is realistically probably going to represent marching through a bunch of other Fey, how about we assume "The Author" takes some liberties...
Go ahead and cast spells/make aids/make checks guys.

Feel free to go a bit overboard, but remember the special effects need to be doable in a play...

Sounds great to me. I like the Author as a storytelling device. Really let's is cut the non-critical stuff out in an interesting way.

Prep spells: fly on Grey, then solid fog for foreground setting.

Invisibility on Grey to allow for nice entrance.

Lights, sparkles, fireworks from major image, with serious sound & thermal effects which fade over 3 rounds.

Leading to a framed background silent image (think Colbert Report with moving flag background).

Hmmm - the defining thing for this group is their wanting to kill humans.
If you're banning that, and not giving them something similar, I'm afraid I don't think many are going to fall in line - you'd get the borderline cases like Melianse I think.
You would get the option you were actually after though, #3: these guys are going to bolt every which way and they (or at least the enemy kingdom) will become someone else's problem.

Holding off posting in case I'm missing something.

Yeah, that's fine with us. Pushing them out of our territory and only keeping the cooperative ones is pretty much the best option for us. It means they'll be causing problems for our neighbors and that's actually good for us.

I could even animate it so that it's one job is to annually cook itself. It would eventually die in the oven, but it until then it would baste itself in there and would taste like it was freshly killed. Probably pretty tasty. Then after the meal I just Restore Corpse, add Oil of Timelessness, animate it again and have it spend the next year slowly marinading itself.

Why are you looking at me like that?

Why not? Necromancy is death magic. When was the last time you ate something that wasn't dead?

Necromancy and cooking aren't that different. :)

There's also 2 CP in miscellaneous 'treasure': axes, swords (1 masterwork longsword, 1 cold iron longsword), bows, arrows, armour, clothing, loose coins, simple jewellery, backpacks, minor potions, camping gear etc.

Nothing to write home about; looks like she was ransacking her victims. Also looks like she didn't know she had magical items in her horde.

Quick note: The herbal collection is in a box hidden inside a small extradimensional space in a mirror that is built into the wall. Sadly there is no way to get into it without breaking the enchantment. Will take you a while to find it and confirm that, but given you've driven the Fey off that's not a problem.
