Well, we have three melee types and Yandu. It might be nice to have a healer to back us up.

Trys has some skills, but she is not a sneak/traps rogue. I'm not sure how much healing vs traps are going to need in this scenario. I have heard that there is a chase scene in it, and Rogues are good that those.

I could go either way I guess.

I've seen great games without dedicated healers. Often lacking somewhere means you have to compensate elsewhere. I don't know the scenario and how deadly it is. But with dedicated frontline I hope we are fine as this is the most difficult to replace.

But I fondly remember my wizard Str7 grappling the BBEG as our paladin had died and the fighter was running (cause fear) and Mr. wizard was out of spells.

If not a dedicated healer, at least someone who can activate wands of CLW. Then we should be good. I have a few potions and a wand of CLW to use if anyone knows how to use them.

Well, if its okay with everyone, a friend has shown interest in joining this game. He plans on playing an oracle and knows that he would be playing up from level 1. He is alright with being the party healer. But I told him I would ask you guys first.

But for the record, Lucia can use wands of CLW since she is a ranger.

Works fine for me, I will stick with Erin then. Buying Eyes of the Eagle, replacing that Fly potion, and putting in 4PA for entrance to the thieves guild. May make one more purchase, but still debating on it.

Note to the GM--I actually cannot use it until I am a 4th level ranger... I intend to take ranger for the remainder of my PFS career, but at this moment, I cannot cast it on my own yet. But if we have an Oracle coming in, then we should be set, since they can cast it freely as well.

A first level Ranger can use a Wand of CLW. You don't need a caster level to do that.

Assuming of course that you are not taking a build that replaces your spells.

Nope. Just a reg melee ranger with eventual track and other rangery things. And that is awesome that Rangers can do that. (Doesnt get to play Rangers much)

You can use a wand just fine as a level 1 ranger. You just can't use scrolls.

From the SRD:
Spell trigger activation is similar to spell completion, but it's even simpler. No gestures or spell finishing is needed, just a special knowledge of spellcasting that an appropriate character would know, and a single word that must be spoken. Spell trigger items can be used by anyone whose class can cast the corresponding spell. This is the case even for a character who can't actually cast spells, such as a 3rd-level paladin. The user must still determine what spell is stored in the item before she can activate it. Activating a spell trigger item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

I did a little bit of all occasion shopping. Cover different aspects and you can see that I had a lot of money left. There are some items in there that help as backup if the healer is down to stabilize.

The Ioun stone is due to the chronicle. I couldn't really justify the 5000gp - but I felt the cracked one was a good alternative.

Yeah, I try to prep for the big 3 monster abilities ASAP as well (Darkness, Invisibility, Flight). Came in handy big time in Hinojai with the Wayang.

Hold the phone there Feral, why are you switching out your level 4 for a brand new level 1!? We are playing at tier 4-5. It would be better for you to play your character that is within the tier. We don't need more than one squishy person running around.

Cliff, why aren't you registered at a Pathfinder Society character?

Feral's level 4 is tied up in a Goblinblood Dead PBP, we would have to wait until that is finished for him to use him. Although I do agree this will make things rough.

I was assiming we were waiting, or just starting the intro and not starting the first encounter untill he was ready. I would rather wait for the other PBP to wrap up than run with another level 1 character.

Yes, Markus is still in Thod's game. Also, for personal reasons he's going to be essentially retired after the game he's in.

I'm not terribly worried. I'm certain we'll be fine with the characters we have.

Ok I guess. I just don’t want characters we have invested in to die because we don’t have enough appropriately leveled characters for the scenario. Our APL is 3.2, +1 for 6 characters. Perhaps I am being too cautious.

I do have a level 1 Sorcerer and I would be ok if people want to change tiers for party makeup reasons.

Like I said, I wouldn't be too worried.

Markus was a front-line combatant in the party with three other front-line combatants. His absence won't be noticed.

I tried to speed my game up for Markus - but it's difficult to predict. Just starting a fight and then there are one optional and lose ends.
