Hired by a man named Gordrenn (a "purveyor of magical goods and material necessities for many a wizard of note") to perform a simple delivery to town of Galduria, a mere few days jaunt to the North, the freshly formed party is assaulted on the road some miles outside of their destination. The group prevailed and even managed to capture some of their assailants. What motives could these would-be bandits have? One thing is sure, though, what started out as a simple courier mission will prove to unravel itself into something much, much deeper.
