Greta air walks over the lemurs and tries to flick her mass of hair into her face to blind her and does manage to do so.But it's only temporary.

I may not have Resist Energy, Communal, but I do have plenty of 3rd level spell slots left, and I am happy to have cast Resist Energy on everyone.

Geist ignores everyone else, and moves over to Crummock, licking him.

Shouldn't my blast of electricity taken out the swarm I had already damaged as well? I should have been able to move so as to get both swarms. I just wasn't sure which way it would end up being pointed.

Suddenly some of the lemures scatter out as something emerges from the stairway.

The party can see the enormous protoplasmic creature resembles a giant amoeba, black in color, that lumbered up the stairway. A deathly cold seems to emanate from its form. Huge

knowledge dungeoneering Mr Whiskers: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35
knowledge dungeoneering Greta: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34

They both recognize it as a Dark Matter Entropic ooze. Its attacks have energy drain and it has negative energy affinity.

It slaps Greta once, and starts draining her lifeforce...

dmg: 2d8 + 15 ⇒ (3, 8) + 15 = 26

3 neg levels on Greta.

The withered female clears the hair out of her eyes (standard action), opens the last door manually, while glaring at Mr Whiskers warily, then takes a 5 ft step back.

The swarm surges out and sticks onto Einar this time.

Einar distraction: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
Einar poison: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27
swarm damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) = 13

The swarm on Mr Whiskers continues to stick on him like glue.

Mr Whiskers distraction: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Mr Whiskers poison: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
swarm damage: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) = 15

Both Mr Whiskers and Einar are not affected by the swarm.

Greta continues to full attack the wiry female.

With the female cackling as some of it is deflected by a black shield.

I assume you were pointing at Crummocks swarm to get them off him before they finished him off - in which you can't AE your swarm because there is insufficient range. If you want to silver dragon line your own swarm, go ahead. You would have been able to 30 ft geist's and your own swarm though, had it come out.

Edit, nvm - I think it can be done, provided you stay within the first swarm and fire at the square. Reflex save inc...

I can't find Einar on the map. Where did he go?

Mr. Whiskers once again moves out of the swarm and releases another line of electricity through his swarm and into the other one.

The swarm on Mr Whiskers dissipates.

I rearranged things so the swarm was behind Einar. I think I've got them both placed correctly.

I assume Greta will take her cue from Einar with respect to retreating.

I thought he was large, I've been rolling that he was large, I didn't realize I just said rage not large, but he was large, is that ok?

also is this the hagpit? Just thinking about using the oil of magic weapon and double checking I need it.

The Ooze slams Greta another time, while the wiry female withdraws.

The remaining swarm continues to bugger Mr Whiskers.

Mr Whiskers is not distracted, but feels that he has contracted something.

I'm using the ROW book stats which say 10/ cold iron and magic for the hag. Otherwise I'd have to throw a near 400 hp entropic ooze at you, which I don't think you'd like. The book's version for the ooze is very much toned down

Greta gets the hell out of there, extremely pale, not wanting to get killed by the ooze. (Full wd)

not a good situation. Lets see what happens. Seeing the hag retreat and the ooze become the dominant threat, Einar steps back, picking up the hammer. Holding his glaive in one hand and the hammer in the other, he slams the handle to the ground sending a crackling bolt of ice shooting across the ground toward the ooze. ”Maybe this will slow you down a little.”

5 ft move, move action: pick up hammer, Attack: ranged touch attack -1 dex, -3 neg level, AC 36
attack: 1d20 + 19 - 1 - 3 ⇒ (8) + 19 - 1 - 3 = 23

Einar couldn’t, retreat, pick up the hammer and shut the door all in one round. Since it’s going to take two, I figure he will ice the ooze, and then see what happens, worst case, he steps back again and shuts the door.

Mr Whiskers manages to fight off the Poison.

The withered female casts scorching Ray at the trapped ooze, with the last Ray going to Einar.

Mr Whiskers, counterspell? If not...

'Blast, I can't let her get away now.' Einar smiles, and drops the hammer again, casting fly. He grasps his glaive in both hands and flys after the hag. "It's too late to run now."

last third level spell slot. standard action: Cast fly, move action: flies either 60 ft toward her, or flies near her and stops at 10 ft. so he can get an aoo if or when she moves.

Firstly she is out of your line of sight, so no AOOs.

Secondly you're flying in medium armor, so 40 feet it is.

The party has a premonition that something bad is going to happen when Einar chases after the withered female.

The lemures move to block the door, and Einar smacks two of them as they go. You wont' take 3 AOOs cos you want to save one for her if she comes in.

Won't roll damage since you instant splat it

Einar can also see the doors in D4 open, just the way they left it.

"Einar, it is time to go now!" Mr. Whiskers says as he gets out yet another scroll. He is not happy.

He then reads off the scroll and walls in the ooze. "I doubt that will hold very long, and I'm about out of tricks."

Bye, bye Wall of Stone scroll!

He takes a 5' step towards Crummock. Looking towards Greta, he asks "Do you think Geist would carry Crummock?"

The party sees the withered female appear in sight 40 feet away from where she was last sighted, then give a string of vile expletives after seeing the ooze completely buried in stone.

She then flees out of the open doors, hovering just above the corpse pile.20 ft above the ground

"I can carry Crummock, or I can tie him on Geist's back." Greta volunteers. "Einar!" Greta yells. "I think she might be leading you into an ambush!"

'Time to go...ok' Einar drops to the doors, winking at the hag, "we'll see you later, we know where you live." He then closes the doors and begins to look to see if there is a lock he can jamb. Calling back to Mister Whiskers. "I'm looking to see if there is a way to lock her out."

Looking back over his shoulders as he releases the rage, Einar smiles a toothy smile at Greta. "Ya think? Before you grab Crummock, help kill those lemurs. Then we can check out what is downstairs." or is it upstairs?

looks like two move actions. Is there a lock on the door? or some way he can jamb it shut?

Crummock is at -13 dex when it's all over - he's not going to wake up anytime soon without magical aid.

Einar jams the door shut, finishes all the lemures. The ooze remains buried under the stone (since its permanent duration). A search of both rooms reveals no loot. The party does not see the withered female again.

If the party tries to rest here:

Everyone in the party gets a premonition of danger. And the image of the dead reaching out of the earth to grab them. Then there is an insistent urge, and the party sees a vision of Mametqul's tent.

@GM Mort: You can't go to a negative ability score. It just sits at zero.

Barring any other intervention, Crummock will wake-up (on 1 Dex) after his next nap. He can then fix himself with a casting of Cleanse ;-)

Once he has jammed the door shut, Einar explores the two rooms finding nothing. He returns to the war band empty handed.

Sitting down beside Crummock and Geist, he starts to reach out to comfort Geist by scratching him behind the ears. Thinking better of the idea, he draws his hand back.

Reaching into his haversack he pulls out his 'ceramic container' telling it "Plumb wine." taking a swig, he extends it to Greta, "Want some?"

"No offence meant, but the last time I saw you drink while you were rather blue from the bebilith poison, you passed out. I know I'm not feeling very good now, much as I'd like a little drink...passing out down here might be the last thing I do. I might never wake up again." Greta declines Einar's offer. "Why don't we get to somewhere more secure before we start on the drinks? This place gives me creeps." Then she shakes her head. "And what are we going to do about Dimitri?"

"We've got what we wanted. We can return back to the grotto. As long as there's safe passage out."

As soon as the whole party is within range, Mr. Whiskers triggers his getaway.

Suddenly they are back out on the plain.

"We can either camp here, or head into the tent" Mr. Whiskers says as he gestures in the distance "and politely inquire as to if he will allow us to recover there."

He then goes over and examines Crummock worriedly.

Mametqul walks out of the tent. "Yeah that was definitely loud...I heard you for miles." Then he sniffs the air speculatively. "I smell the crown on you."

Then he glares at Einar. "Oh you! Why don't you just hand me the crown so I can get all of you out of this place into Grandmother's cauldron. That way I don't have to put up with your presence." He grumbles exasperatedly.

Either he walked a few hundred feet or he moved his tent. Which is it please? I had done it a distance away so we would avoid being pressured to immediately give him the crown.
