Gravedigger Ianto - |
Considering its one of two primary class abilities, I think I need to reroll. Let me know when I can do that.
Since the reason for me moving up is gone, put me in the rear somewhere so I can use my bow.
Gravedigger Ianto - |
Sorry. I was referring to the "paladin" inquisitors who can detect law, good, evil, and chaos, just not the single target version.
Keith S. |
Ianto - go ahead and re-roll any other first level character you wish.
I am tied up with a few home / life things, so now is a good time for you to do that.
Please post what you change into.
Keith S. |
This is where I show people from their descriptions.
H2 is a small, square wooden building whose purpose is obvious when you get close. It is an outhouse, and a nasty one at that. The door is frozen shut with snow and ice; a small hammer hangs there for "visitors" to chip away at the ice and free the door to open. The stench is pretty strong.
Keith S. |
Vic opens the door (of the outhouse I am thinking?) (he posted this in the discussion portion of the forum).
It is empty.
Well, empty except for a bunch of frozen turds and other sundry nasty, smelly things.
Who reaches down the hole to see what is in there?
Gravedigger Ianto - |
The evil that resides there is overwhelming.
Ianto motions to the trapper to check the door to the house.
If he's unwilling (or afk) he moves up scanning for obvious traps and opens the door.
Keith S. |
As Ianto gently pushes the door open, he sees 5 bandits looking at him curiously.
They are standing, alert, and in armor with weapons at hand.
No one is surprised.
Roll for initiative!
bandits initiative is 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Keith S. |
Since two players won the initiative, everyone can go.
Ianto / Valerus shot the nearest bandit.
Alistair, Vic, and Cadell go!
Keith S. |
Vic - where do you go (give some directions like W S E N (which is a circle, by the way, so give something different).
And what weapon do you use?
Do I have Ianto or Valerus playing?
Valeros - N'Haaz-aua |
Ianto trips a hidden catch and activates a hidden crossbow trap, suffering a fatal wound.
Valeros, having heard the group left town seeking adventure and glory, finally catches up to the group having struggled to follow the snow covered trail.
"Let's give these bandits a thrashing!"
Keith S. |
Here is the MAP
Alistair rips a sling bullet at a bandit, but rushes it a bit, missing his target.
Victasys steps forward with a roar, the big half orc making an overhead swing which CLONKS on the helm of a bandit! The man drops like a rock, brains and blood spraying from his head.
Ianto fires on shot with his arrow, killing a bandit, then morphs (via a Matix like shiver] into Valeros (who is represented on the map by an R for ValeRos, since we aleady have a V and an A).
Cadell moves up and lurks in the back of the party, taking dainty elf steps.
The remaining 3 bandits fire their arrows at Victasys while yelling for reinforcements.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 to hit
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 to hit
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 to hit
They all miss, and drop their bows and draw their swords
PCs may go!
Keith S. |
Someone give me an order for Alistair....and my work - life balance is upset at the moment, so bear with some slow posting from me!
Keith S. |
(I only see one post....?)
Alistair shoots his sling 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 and hits,
for 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 damage
Valeros connects with the same bandit hit by Alistair, and the fellow drops!
Victasys misses with a wild swing.
The two bandits swing back at the half orc Inquisitor
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 for a hit for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 damage
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 for a miss
Players turn!
Alistair, the Winter Wanderer |
I've been attempting to post here for 2 days, not sure what's going on. Thank you for botting me, hopefully it won't happen again.
Alistair moves to the closest bandit and swings at him with his scimitar.
Two-Handed Scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Keith S. |
The two bandits go down in a flurry of chops, slashes and stabs!
However, the door at the top of the stairs bursts open and 3 bandits rush out with bows. You can see a fourth behind them. These bandits are not wearing armor.
The fire their bows at the party, two at Alistair and 1 at Valeros.
1d20 ⇒ 19 for 1 hit on Alistair for 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage
1d20 ⇒ 4
1d20 ⇒ 17 for 1 hit on Alistair for 1d6 ⇒ 2 damage
The door on the lower level opens, and two skeletons rush out at Cadell. Each swings with two frozen hands.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 for a hit on Cadell for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 damage
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14for a hit on Cadell for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 damage
The bandits are on the balcony and stairs leading to the upstairs. The upstairs section is on the section of the map off to the bottom (for the second story). The skeletons came out of the door on the first floor, which is on the main map.
Sort of clear? And Cadell - can you add stats to your character bar like everyone else?
And - the PCs turn. Make perception rolls as part of your turn.
Cadell - are you immune to cold damage in any way? The skeletons have an icy touch which will each cause an extra 1d6 damage if you are not resistant in some fashion.
Keith S. |
Valeros chops down an unarmored bandit with ease.
Victasys casts bless (or if it was a judgement, he still gets to attack too I believe).
The bandits push down the stairs to attack Valeros.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 but the one in front misses.
A skeleton claws at Vic!
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
One hit for 1d4 ⇒ 4 plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 cold damage
Cadell lays there and bleeds a bit
players may go
Keith S. |
Vic - there is a skeleton next to you - you need to cast defensively to not take an attack of opportunity when you cast the spell
It would be a DC 17 check; you get a bonus equal to your wisdom modifier (you lose the spell if you fail the check).
Or you can do something else - move away to heal Alistair, simply attack the skeleton next to you with your mace, etc.
Vic should also have a judgement he can be using in this situation...
Need an order for Alistair too.
And I just figured out the map from the link is smaller than I thought.
I will try to figure out what to do with that.
