That morning, Percy does something she hasn't done in forever. She prays. She rises early and goes to the edge of camp. She stands there and rotates her head left and right every so often while whispering in Sylvan.

When warned, she just sighs. More witch lackies? Will they never learn...

"You almost sound as if you don't want to slaughter them." Necerhome says alongside a dark chuckle.

Slaughtering the minions is no fun. The witches are the problem. I just wonder how many lost puppies we're making. Percy responds without returning the mirth

When the minions got within... 300 feet of the wagon Silence would loose a 'warning' shot. and By warning i mean you know try to hit one dead center of the chest. I assume we have several rounds at the minimum to prepare. correct?

Percy is suddenly worried that Neverhome misunderstood.

Neverhome just shrugs. "If they do have children they're as bad as them. My point still stands, actual puppy or not."

Aww thanks Percilicious, its more designed just to slow them down make them pull out the shields and advance behind them.. but hey damage is damage yes yes? Maybe make a spellcaster do some finger waving etc...

Hobbes nods appreciatively at Percy and glares at Neverhome. "Didn't we have this conversation? I feel like we did."

"Da, we did. My opinions on matter have not changed." he states matter-of-factly to the Halfling.

"And they're still wrong kid."

"I'll remember that when that," he tosses his head to indicate Hila," is gnawing on you in your sleep."

"Yea, there's more chance of Percy gnawing on me in my sleep than Hila. She's just a harmless pup."

You heard the halfman Percilicious, he's wanting your noms.

"Pups grow up."

"Not all born of evil are evil Lyosha," Sigrun says quietly, resting a hand on her fellow Northerner's shoulder. "But we can worry about that when it comes. Should we take a prisoner?" she asks turning to Vashti.

"Yea and you train pups to not chew on ya when they grow up."

"If they survive that long."he mutters under his breath.

"What was that kid?"

"If. They. Survive. That. Long. Do I need to shout?"

"Just checking kid. Is there a reason Hila wouldn't survive that long?"

"Few. She might try to eat one of us. Or she might try to help Witches. Or giants. Or others of her kind."

"Ya think that'll happen kid? Cuz it won't."

"Keep telling yourself that."

"I will cuz it's true."

Neverhome lets out a sigh while talking to the obstinate, to him, Halfling. "Just because you say so, does not make so."

"It's true cuz it is true, kid."

"... That is dumbest reasoning for anything I have ever heard."

"Look, she's a pup. We can teach her not to eat us or stab us in the back."

Crow, that had been unusually silent after Zses and Allie had been alone the night before, groans loudly at Hobbes's and Lyosha's exchange.
"Less talk on nature of evil, more lackey killing, okay? More worried of bows than puppies." he croaks to the two.

"I highly doubt that." he says to Hobbes before turning to Crow. "Lackey right there!" he snarls as he stabs a finger at Hila.

Hila looks confusedly at Neverhome as she scratches herself with a paw innocently.

Hobbes just has his palm meet his face yet again. "Oy."

"Crow!" Zses reprimands the raven. He was annoyed, too, by Lyosha's opinion about Hila, but he didn't want to butt in someone's else conversation. Besides, he was still thinking about last night.
I promised that I wouldn't let anything happen to Allie: and I really, really meant that. But...am I able to do that? I can only give funny looks to people and laugh...

With a sigh, he gets up, readying himself for battle. "Sigrun?" the witch gestures to the redhead barbarian.
"I can cast a spell similar to the one the woman in the library was using the other day. Should make things easier. Is that okay for you?" he asks.

If Sigrun's response is affirmative, cast Enlarge Person. 4 minute duration.

After a brief chanting, Zses taps Sigrun's shadow. For a moment, nothing happens, but then it starts to grow larger, as her owner keeps her normal stature. Seconds after, Sigrun's size grows to match her shadow's.

Hearing Hila speak Neverhome turns his head from Hobbes to glower at the wolf before turning back to face the ranger. "Knowing her for only days and yet you make so many assumptions based on nothing. Just know if that thing lays so much as paw on Sigrun or me I will put her down." his voice is completely dead and steady as he speaks.

When Zsestrian makes his suggestion however he turns and looks at the not-witch and Sigrun, curiosity on his face and voice as he "Hmm?".

Provided she does accept as well:

"Ooo..." he coos out in awe, the only response he can really think of as her size increases.

"One, she won't. Two, I will put you down if you try anything, kid."

With an almost feral grin Sigrun nods in agreement, feeling the power of Zsestrian's magic flow into her. Glancing down at Lyosha she winks as she draws her hammer from it's place on her back.

As Hobbes takes his bluster beyond the pale she spares the halfling a glance. "No. You won't"

"Well tell him to stop threatening the puppy then."

Relieved somewhat that Sigrun was willing to defend him Lyosha begins taking a few deep breaths before readdressing Hobbes. "Fine then, you keep her under control like you say you can and we will not have to worry about anything. But if she hurts anyone in this group, there will be no going back."

"Just quit threatening my dog, k?"

"As I just said, if she doesn't hurt anyone, I will not hurt her."

"She's like a baby. She's not gonna hurt us."

At the halfling's stubbornness Neverhome finally lets his face turn into a snarl. "Witches have babies! Giants have babies! Trolls have babies! All monsters have babies! What makes her so damn special?! Why is she more innocent or different than any other monster?!"

"Because we're raising her. She's one of us." Hobbes says matter of factly.

"Nyet! She. Is. Not. You have had her for not even two whole days and you think you completely understand her? You are idiot."

"Because we all got something in common. We're all losers." Hobbes then sees people's reactions and continues. "I mean we all lost something. That's why we're out here. But we all got a chance to do something. Her included."

"She only lost her parents because they were killed when they tried to eat everyone... You did tell her that didn't you?"

"I did. And if I could take it back I would kid."

"And let everyone be eaten?"

"No. I'd try to knock 'em out or scare 'em off."
