Percy Silvershaper |
Percy harumphs and kicks the now-lifeless monster. Serves you right. Pest.
Lyosha Neverhome |
Aside from backtracking where else can we go from here?
Lyosha Neverhome |
I guess south?
Percy Silvershaper |
Sure
Your Benevolent Dictator |
Several flat-topped tree stumps stand amid thick grass in this clearing, hinting that this place was once as thickly forested as the surrounding wood. As you look around, a sudden flash of light catches your eye. The light appears to be signalling you, and you follow it to discover an elderly cat sitting on a tree stump. "Strangers in the Hut? I haven't seen that for quite a long time. What are you doing here?"
Percy Silvershaper |
Whatever Baba Tags says, which admittedly isn't much. says Percy. Are you another long term tenet?

B-Baba Tags?
"Where is here, anyway?" Crow looks quizzically at the talking cat.
Lyosha Neverhome |
Outside of Silence and Noise, Neverhome hadn't ever seen any other cats. Since Percy had already stated and asked what he would have he didn't bother adding to the conversation at the moment.
Lyosha Neverhome |
Uh, where did we come from?
Your Benevolent Dictator |
You can answer that many ways. XD The dungeon you were exploring was named Artrosa. It's in the country of Iobaria. Before that, you were in Whitethrone in Irrisen. Before THAT, you were in the town of Heldren. In regards to the Dancing Hut, you're currently in a plant-based layout. Earlier, you were in a series of concentric rings. Before THAT, the layout was that of a small cottage.
Lyosha Neverhome |
I don't remember the rings but the hut locations is what I was curious about.
"From rings, from cabin." Neverhome states.

'Silence' |
Silence blinked at the talking version of himself wishing Percys' sister was about at the moment to see another talking kitty. He offered the feline and inclination of his head.
Lyosha Neverhome |
Neverhome draws his sword.
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |
"What in the inferno?" Hobbes says drawing his bow and taking a few steps to the back.

He whistled for Mule and pratically leapt up into saddle the moment the horse closed in range.

Percy Silvershaper |
Sorry. I forgot the name of my big spell, Divine Vigor. Each of you may choose one benefit of the following each round for the next 9 rounds:
-Increase speed by 30 feet.
-Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
-Make one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus.
-Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
-Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.
'Silence' |
I believe she probably got terrifying last level When she got the big bump up. Mule is stronger too, just we have been dealing with things that arent horse stompable. >^.^<
He sat there for just a moment tilting his head in slight confusion.
"What in the world is that thing! It matters not we have faced dragons, a tree stump wont be our end!"
He spat out in challenge focusing on his swordplay. He would never be able to effectively wield his katana two handed, but that mattered little to him, With a burst of divine vigor from Percilicious. He attacked!

Percy Silvershaper |
If you get free and 5' step you'd be out of reach. Unfortunately Enlarge is a 1 round casting time, so you could begin the spell, but it won't go off until next round.
Zsestrian Raven |
Ah, true. However, I wasn't sure of the reach as YBD specified that we got dragged closer to the killer stump.
Percy Silvershaper |
True true.
Zsestrian Raven |
Thanks to Percy's spell, Zses manages to slip off the enemy's grasp, casting a curse on it an chuckling to himself.

Under your ferocious assault, the stump monster quickly falls. As you deal the final blow, the cat collapses, and you hear a quiet "thank you..."
If anyone is interested, there's an opportunity to recruit Syvet's spirit. 1) Zses can replace Crow with an Incorporeal Cat that regenerates as per the figment archetype. 2) Syvet can fuse with the Migrus, giving it a voice and sentience.
Percy Silvershaper |
Wha'd'ya say, Zses?

I think the 2nd option sounds better.
Lyosha Neverhome |
Neverhome would be okay with 2, how would we do that?
Lyosha Neverhome |
Neverhome looks on solemnly as the formerly trapped cat was freed from what was likely a horrible existence, a pit in his chest even as his blood cools upon hearing it's final words.
Crouching down to pet Noise he'll then turn to Percy. "Is there anything you can do?"
Percy Silvershaper |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Percy closes her eyes for a moment. She feels the flow of the local magic to see if there was a kink. Thankfully, this was the Hut. The place was practicality built on kinks in magic.
She seizes on one with predominantly Conjuration tendencies and cuts it in half. The resulting explosion of wild magic reverses reality the surrounding area. Blacks become white, right becomes left. The only thing that seems to not change is up and down (thank Imbrex).
There, on the stump, you can see the imprisoned will of the kitty. It lays bound with wooden chains that pulse with some kind of monstrous heartbeat. Percy reaches out and gathers the magic to herself before focusing everything she can muster upon the cat's bonds.
'Silence' |
Seeing the small talking feline not moving after the sharp fight, his tail lashed even more as he lay his ears back and continued to hack into the dead plant creature.
"Stupid Stupid plant, Damn the gods Silence why are so you slow recently. First the trees trampled the little friends and now that poor little cat cat. Stupid Stupid plants!"
He mentally chastised himself as he hacked out his frustrations. So much so he wasnt entirely paying attention to Percy's actions.
Zsestrian Raven |
Zses furrows his brow and lets Percy work, ready to help in case it was needed.
Your Benevolent Dictator |
@Percy: expend a spell slot as if you'd voluntarily failed the concentration check for your Primal Magic ability
2d100 ⇒ (51, 78) = 129
As Percy has limited control over wild magic events, there are two possible outcomes. Which do you choose?
1) The party is attacked by tumblesparks that keep coming until one is used as an improvised defibrillator on Syvet's body.
2) Everyone is knocked prone and has their gear rearranged by strange telekinetic energy. This may or may not result in random gear ending up in the possession of other party members, but that fact probably won't be discovered until later.
Lyosha Neverhome |
