Well, I hate to be the first one to bail. But this same character got selected for another ROW campaign. Since you have 8 players over here, I think you can survive w/o me and/or find someone with a broken heart to join up.
The selection for other group is smaller, so if I bow out there it'll be more of an impact.
Sorry if it led you on, but one never knows in the selection process, and I certainly didn't know you'd have two games going here.
Thanks for picking me, but it's best to bow out now and open a spot. Hope you all stay warm! I'll see you around the boards.
@Hassan: While I'm sorry to lose you so soon, I understand the reasoning. Good luck, and happy gaming. :-)
@Everyone: I'm doing character audits this afternoon. Spoilered posts will have my feedback, and once it's been addressed, you can dot the Gameplay thread.
Change "Nighthunter" to 6/6 in your "Spells" spoiler. At the moment, you also don't need "1/1" next to your first-level spells. Your Climb check should be +5. Actually, it's fine in your original sheet, so it's just a copy error. :-) Just double-check both of your character sheets to make sure there aren't any other discrepancies I missed; I focused on the one using my format. Otherwise, everything looks good. Blik was actually the first character I knew HAD to be in this campaign; his backstory's a poem, for cryin' out loud! :-)
Before I begin, what would you prefer I call your character? Lyosha? Neverhome? His full name? That guy? Okay, on to the audit. In your Vitals spoiler, change to "Perception +6 (+2 scavenger)". I often roll passive checks for PCs, and I don't want to short you if there's a trap around or something. Same thing with your Will save. Add a (+2 vs. charms/compulsion). Your Fortitude save should be a +6 (the trait bonus stacks with Sacred Tattoo). Add your raging stats to the full sheet (AC/Saving throws/Attacks/Damage). Also, make sure you include your Rage rounds in the spoiler for easy tracking. Otherwise, everything looks good. :-)
I believe with my -1 armor check penalty my climb is accurate, 1 rank 3 class 1 strength -1 armor penalty. Other than that I think everything else is solid! (My trait bonus negates the armor penalty on my stealth).
I'm really glad you liked my background, I'm really looking forward to this game, thanks for putting in all the extra work for two groups so I could be here!
You forgot the end tag on your "Skills" spoiler. Just pointing that out. ;-) Katana attacks should be at +5; Naginata should be at +4. If you two-hand either weapon, you'll get an extra point of damage. Just pointing that out since you don't have a shield. Have you spent your favored class bonus? It's either +1 HP or +1 skill rank. Other than that, you look okay. When you hit Level 3, I'll ask you to put Challenges/day and Resolve points in your profile spoiler, but it's not necessary now. Once you get your Mount statted, add a "Vitals" spoiler for him but leave out Initiative. Also, I'm not particularly familiar with the Samurai class (never built or played one), so if I screw up/forget a mechanic, please remind me. :-)
Your damage is off for the Shortbow. It should be a flat 1d6 unless you bought a "Composite Shortbow +3". Add your attack bonus to that section as well, please. My calculation is Melee +2, Ranged +3. Have you figured out your Favored Class Bonus? Options are +1HP, +1skill rank, or +1/6 of a +1d4 when spending motes on skill/ability checks. Other than that, you look fine. :-) One caveat: I love the concept of the Time Thief, but this is the first time I've experienced one in actual play. I know they can get complicated at higher levels, so if I screw up something, please let me know.
Explain the Disable Device/Sleight of Hand breakdown for me; I'm not sure what the situational bonus is for. In your Vitals spoiler, please change to "Will +2 (+2 vs. fear)". Sometimes I roll for players to save time, and I don't want to short your bonus. :-) You need to pick a bonus language and add 1d4 hex nails. Other than that, you look solid. Sorry about having to separate you from the Gnome sisters; I prefer to run for no more than 6 people, and there's going to be enough craziness in that game already. Plus, I think 2 is my short-people limit for an adventuring party. ;-) Dot the gameplay thread when you're ready.
On the katana number i had assumed that a masterwork +1 enhance and then the weapon focus +1 to my normal melee of +4 is the six, and seeing that the naginata should be a +3 working on things late at night >.< Sorry about my number errors.
from what i gather of the Samurai class, it is pretty much just a Cavalier archtype called a class, that gets less starting gold >.> Never played a cavalier either. But it looks awesome and you have no idea how much research im doing at work... (mostly watching old samurai drama's but hey it counts right?!?)
Well you trade alot of the mount-specific stuff for generally more useful class features. I've played a cavalier up until retirement in PFS next to a samurai and you can tell the difference.
Paizo keeps eating my edits >.< Oh wells attempt three. as to the cavalier/ samurai thing, yeah i noticed that too, its like it was a planned archtype for a cavalier but they decided it was a little too different by like a point or so, sooo they called it its own class. Its all good, i look forward to learning something new. and Hey Hobbes if you happen to notice something i could be doing better/different or the like feel free to shoot me a message or something, I wont mind.
If a game calls for multiple rolls, go ahead and do everything at once. Then you can write up what happens. Saves time and keeps the thread from exploding. :-)
Oh yeah, make your rolls In-Character and in the Gameplay thread. I have two different quest hooks, so some group overlap in the beginning is totally fine. :-)
