Should I join? Should I be the indefatigable halfling??
Random: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 2) - 1 = 10
Random: 4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 6) - 2 = 18
Random: 4d6 - 3 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 3) - 3 = 15
Random: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 1) - 1 = 5
Random: 4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 6) - 2 = 15
Lol, what an array. I suppose he will be an extremely unwise halfling.

I wasn't aiming for The Hobbit, so I'll probably still go with WIS as the dump stat. That is more in line with the character concept I have in mind. :P
I had an old WFRP 2E halfling character named Robin Grumble who was strong and quick and loved food but cheese above all. He collected weapons to the point of being a walking arsenal all on his own...but he wasn't the most canny of creatures, so often made poor choices based on his tummy.

Equipment was done in a rush last night, DM Treppa, let me know if there are any issues. I took a sickle as my free 'profession' implement (seems appropriate for a farmer), and I purchased ammunition for the sling even though it wasn't listed. If this was deliberate I will scrap the bullets and use (free) stones instead.
DM Treppa |
Sunny: Nah, sling shot is fine. I forgot ammunition. I checked out your no-armor-proficiency armor and realized that light armor up to leather has no ACP. So, as far as I can tell, everyone is effectively proficient with padded and light armor, since applying a 0 penalty to all rolls is... ineffective.
Anybody know anything different regarding armor proficiency?
Cletus: You spent a feat to use that shovel, so it works with no penalty. You have dagger proficiency?
Dexter: Warhammer proficiency isn't available unless you burn a feat for it. I figure this is left over from the old build.
Robin Grumble |
Here's Robin. I'm on the fence about a few choices as I think this will make him more roguey instead of the more fightery concept I was envisioning, so I might change my mind on a couple of the racial traits.
Lots of leftover gold...just not sure what do with it unless I buy potions. My vision of a commoner suggests he wouldn't own armor, and nothing like a weapon other than the long dagger he owns that is probably used more for his cooking than any hostilities.
Also, I assumed no Traits as the creation guidelines mentioned them not at all.

I chose those racial traits because I felt like the idea that he just kind of pops up suddenly, especially when someone has food or drink, would be amusing. Oof that Wis penalty is something, but the other rolls make up for it I think.

Yeah, Im fairly sure that's how it works. It doesn't come up much as virtually everyone is proficient in such armour, except your arcane casters for whom arcane spell failure is the bigger issue.

** spoiler omitted **...
Nope, no traits (it does say that in the guidelines), and potions are not on the list of elegible starting gear.

Come join us once you gat settled, OK?
Having thought a bit more, and pondered the smartness of making decisions while stressed and tired at 4am, ill tough it out for a bit more. If time does get crazy I'll let you know that I have to bow out.

OK, so GK is back and we have a late-comer, making the roster (with PC class direction):
Goblin.King: Flouncy Magoo (really?) - sorc arcane trickster
S.Shadow: Dexter Quigley - fighter
J.Napier: Jared Haesford - wizard
D.Mallon: Cletus Dickens - wizard
Mothy: Sunny Willowood - druid
Monkey: Valdimir Anhur - figher?
Angel: Hunter Payle - cleric
Pin: Robin Grumble - rogue
Does this sound right?
Storyteller Shadow |
Dex, based on his background, could go in a number of different directions, Rogue, Fighter, Wizard, whatever works for the group is just fine for me DMT!
Flouncy Magoo |
Leaving the library 30 minutes early. Sitting beside the A/C vents in the floor has taken its toll. The knuckles in my fingers now hurt.
You OK now?

I'm recalling an eventful Pathfinder game run by FAWTL's Lord President Moorluck on a sunny afternoon in Myrtle Beach, upon which a halfling played by famed writer Mike "Taig" Welham wreaked much havoc.
@Moorluck, @Sharoth, @Woodraven, @Solnes, @Urizen, and myself all pour one out in memory of the game's plot, setting, and characters.

Question: is it possible to have a sword, or no?
I'd prefer not, unless you have some flamingly urgent reason or character/RP point for having one - if so, PM me. I am not unreasonable. I even let Robin have his waffle iron and tripod even though they are not on The List, since they don't interfere with the intent of The List.
