Because this is a quest series, you are unable to slot boons other than race boons. You do still get reputation for the faction you choose. (BallonBoy, can you please PM me the text that opens an unusual faction to you? I want to make sure you can still get reputation here)

Later there will be a starship combat, so it would be good to discuss now what roles you each want to take on the ship.

There are four quests, so if we keep up the pace of a quest a week, we can be done before gameday. It would be good if we go a little faster, though, since starship combat can be very slow in PbP.

Good point, with +9 Compucast could also be a good science officer. That might be more use at the start - especially if Garven is competent as an engineer.

If the anti-android 'racism' I'm portraying makes anyone uncomfortable, please let me know. I'm purposely keeping it light and not knowingly mimicing exactly any specific real world biases, but am not sure what everyone is OK with. You can either post here or send me a PM if what I'm saying bugs you in any way; I want this game to be fun for everyone. I can tell you that based on some of what is happening around here, the bias should probably be much stronger/nastier than what I am portraying.

Assignments work for me. I've played in a number of variant forms of starship combat on-line, none following the CRB and each with advantages and drawbacks. I am fine with whatever you decide.

Fastest way seems to be to have each player post an action and then have the GM try to reconcile/summarize it all. However, this is a lot of work for GM and makes PC choices less meaningful. Depends on what is the priority in the run, I guess.

I imagine while we may be free as characters for GD VII, Redelia may have several other games starting then.

I do have a full plate when gameday starts; however, I know from experience that a week or two at 'overload level' I can still enjoy. I have this and several other games that look like they will go over slightly, and that is fine. I wanted to make sure none of you needed a hard cutoff.

Compucast, I don't think Supercharge Weapon works during starship combat. Unfortunately, I think that the listed actions in that section of the book are the only actions that can be taken during starship combat, and casting a spell is not present there.

I'm still waiting to hear from some of you if you're OK with the above starship roles.
