Okay, great. One final question: there is a cantrip I would like called Penumbra. Since it is technically considered a rare cantrip, I thought I would ask permission before I went and chose it. If you say no, that is perfectly fine.
I will be storing spiked pit in my ring. It takes a DC 23 Spellcraft check to decipher, and at level 8 I will have a +14 Spellcraft, giving me 24 if I take 10.
No on the automatic bonus progression, we aren't using that. I don't remember about background skills, but why not. They make characters more interesting, not more powerful.
Arcavic looked up and cursed at the sun yet again, it’s bright light causing him to squint and his eyes to water. For all that he venerated Sarenrae for helping him to see how his past actions had hurt people, and for showing him the path he needed to follow in order to help, not hurt, he strongly disliked the fact that the sun caused him such pain. He’d hoped that eventually he’d adapt, but it appeared that took longer than he thought it would. He remembered the Darklands, where he’d grown up, and how he’d never had to deal with such harsh, devastating light. The drow had warriors who had been trained to deal with the sun’s light, but he had rarely accompanied them - and only at night.
He did remember one wizard who said he could cloak the night of the Darklands about himself to deal with the harsh sun. Arcavic had always assumed that he was referring to the inherent magical abilities that all drow possessed, but now he wondered if there was something more to it. The story he’d been told was that such magic had been limited to just the wizard. Perhaps this was something Arcavic could learn? He had no teacher, but perhaps he could find the answer himself.
For a month, Arcavic worked, seeking a way to take the magic in his natural darkness globe and use it to focus only on himself. He only needed it to dim the light about himself just enough that he could see in sunlight. Finally, he achieved the breakthrough needed, and through continued refinement, he was eventually able to cast the spell at will, whenever he needed it. On that day, he emerged, cloaked in shadows, and looked at the sun with a smile on his face. Finally, he could look at the most visible symbol of Sarenrae’s works, and not feel pain. Now, the light was no barrier to his travel.
A story of a memory from the darklands and how Arcavic figured it out. That work?
Per my new stat line, I am finished. Further, I now have Shadow Enchantments, which means I now can emulate every enchantment spell level 2 and under, with them being 20% real. This includes the wonderful buff Heroism, although it would behoove the person I cast it on to voluntarily fail their Will save against Shadow Enhancements so they don't receive only 20% of the effect (which is the end result).
I really like the flavor of a drow literally crafting magic out of shadows.
Also, my next feat is more Drow Nobility stuff, now that I've made my Illusions more potent.
Anyway, as I was saying, I'm finished with my level up. My Illusory abilities are greater now, and I have Shadow Enchantments as a spell known, allowing me to replicate all Enchantment spells level 2 and below with 20% realness.

So while we are waiting on Lillie to finish leveling have we heard anything from GM Redelia about when we're doing to the time jump/deadline for finishing level ups?
I would not mind RPing more with the Trogs, our camp, and the Goblin wolf guy a bit more while we're prepping for the jump.
It's been going around. I was sick a couple weekends ago, my coworker was out sick yesterday and today, and my wife reported 19 people in her office called off with what sounds like the flu. I hope you feel better soon, Redelia - being sick is absolutely no fun.
Sorry I was going to discuss the animal training stuff with you as I needed to know downtime. I believe you said a couple months so I'm going to assume 8 weeks.
It takes 6 weeks to combat train an animal so I do that and modified by using both aspect of nightinggale and Eagle's Spendor I cheat my bonus to a +10 and take 10's on the training which has a DC of 20. Even without the spell boosts it's 20 because of the +4 to training your own AC
attack, come, defend, down, guard, and heel
as an AC I get 3 "bonus tricks" which I'm using for a 2nd attack, track, and rescue
Sorry, guys, the adventure doesn't give a map for this fight, and with four enemies, you'll need one. I will find an appropriate map for this tommorow.
Hey guys,
I've been sick or fighting off being sick for the past month and a half, so I need to take a little break from as many of my games as I can. I've also cut back on how many I am playing and GMing. I'm going to take 1 week off from this and my other long term games to rest, after which we will resume.
