If I try to dispel the Blink effect, does my dispel have a miss chance?


Yes, it would, as best as I can tell. Dispel Magic doesn't extend to the Ethereal Plane.
I would allow 3.5's Transdimensional Spell as a feat, in the future.

Never mind! My mistake. Dispel Magic is an abjuration so it does affect targets on the Ethereal. You can target one of the two Barghests.
Also: among the capstone feats there are ways to get 4th-level spell slots that you can use for Metamagic'ed spells of 3rd and lower.

one of the reasons I have switched over to 5e was Pathfinder bloat. But I am very interested in the description of character generation and the thought of a new version...will have to wait and see....

I realized two things:
1. I made myself responsible for managing party loot.
2. I haven't been managing party loot.

So I'm going to try to catch up If some of this stuff got distributed already, let me know; otherwise I think the following has not been distributed:

Have we had a chance to sell some valuable old loot? I'm guessing not and we'll need to wait for a visit to Brindol or something. Next time we have a chance to spend gold, I will make a tally and distribute the gold to the party for spending. There's currently a bit less than 5,000 gp, and some pearls that are probably equivalent to currency.

I took the Bull's Strength from the Gorge.
The Belt would be better served on one of our other frontliners (Mikhail, Thom, Tal), I have enough Fortitude for the vast majority of rolls.

I found some spell templates here. I could re-create them myself like I did with the 20' radius one. If anybody can easily turn them into wireframe images that I can stick over maps, that could be useful. Just create a new slide on the combat maps PPT and stick the images there.

That is correct. If not for the fog, the ones on top might be visible. And the ogres' heads are just about level with the top of the palisade, but from your angle you can't see them. If they step onto the berm up against the wall, they can see well enough to throw spears, but right now they are not on that berm.

The main source I am using for Epic and Signature feats is the P6 Codex. But I am flexible. Many capabilities that a 7th-level character could have are suitable for Epic feats. You can also take a Signature feat, special Epic feats that grants abilities normally gained at 8th level, but you are limited to just one, plus one more after hitting ten Epic feats.

Of course, this source doesn't include non-Core classes, so if you want an ability that your class would grant at 7 or 8, send me a PM and we'll figure out prerequisites.

If you are multiclassed, I would allow a feat to gain an ability one of your base classes would grant in the 1-6 range, with the same basic principle; +1 level for an Epic feat, +2 for Signature. So Tal'ariel could get Uncanny Dodge for an Epic feat (as she would get it with 1 more level of Rogue), or Shishka could get Inspire Courage +2 with a Signature feat (she would get it with 2 more levels of Bard). Bran could get Adrenaline Deed with an Epic feat (1 more level of Darechaser), or Knockout with a Signature feat (2 more levels of Brawler).

Bran doesn't have magic at the moment, so he could hold the Rapier for the time being. I would say give it to Shishka but small sized makes it hard for her to use the medium rapier (I'm assuming its medium). Is Seltazar proficient with Rapiers? Would he want such a thing?

Take the CMW's, I'll mark them off of mine.

I would love the Ring of Protection +2 as it does double duty for my CMD and AC.


On the rapier: the AP does suggest making most of the treasure customized to the PCs. ("75% of the GP value should be items they would choose for themselves.") I didn't really think about this with the rapier. Still, the 75% value seems about right in this cache. The treasure in this case is from a wizard's manor. So why a rapier? Well, most likely, it was an Elven wizard (normally familiar with rapiers). Therefore, probably Medium-sized. But what to do with it?

Seltazar swapped out Weapon Familiarity, so can't use the rapier.
Thom isn't proficient.
Mikail and Tal'ariel have favored weapons of different types.
Shishka is too small to use it effectively.
Bran could use it, but it's not exactly his style.

Can it be changed into another weapon?
I would be fine with a ritual to transfer the enchantment to another weapon. I'm going to say it's an Epic ritual, and requires 1/4 the enchantment price in raw materials (so 2,000 gp for a +2 bonus). So there will be casters who can attempt this for you.

Bran, in addition to the Ring of Protection, you should take the rapier for the time being. If I may be greedy, I would be interested in having that enchantment transferred to Tal'ariel's blade once we're in a city. Her curve blade is her bonded object (and has sentimental value), so it is not easily replaced. Though that depends on how long it would take to transfer the enchantment--Tal'ariel is very, very ineffective if she does not have her bonded sword.

@GM Zelligar--As you touched on in gameplay, it seems like Tal'ariel has become somewhat of a diplomat for our group, roleplaying at far above her charisma level. Would you be open to me fixing my character to address that?

Since we're about to level up, there's a feat in the P6 Codex called Greater Skillfulness that Tal'ariel can take to basically gain 13 skill points (thanks to being a rogue):

Greater Skillfulness (Epic)
You are even more skillful.
Benefit: You gain a number of skill ranks equal to your favored class‘s skill ranks per level (including intelligence bonus) + 1. You may have seven ranks in any skill (as if you were 7th level).

Would it be possible for me to also switch one of my traits from "Warrior of Old" to "Clever Wordplay" or "Student of Philosophy"? Having gotten to practice diplomacy, Tal'ariel has learned to persuade by simply speaking the right words, even if she is somewhat lacking in forcefulness. But her desire to parlay dulls her reflex to fight when combat is unavoidable.

I'm fine with that, I don't really need a weapon for the most part (as he is basically a save or suck on a body). I'll mark it on mine for the time being. He could use the 1-H to keep his Buckler if he needs to play more defensively.


@Tal'ariel: That Epic feat is certainly available.
And you could retrain your trait if you wanted. I like your explanation for it.
Tal'ariel will be able to upgrade her bonded item when she gets back to a city as if she had the requisite feats. In fact, she can do that all by herself given the necessary components (3,000 GP to go to +2, I think, or could add a +1 special ability).
It will likely be possible to do that, and transfer the rapier's enchantment to Bran's cestus or Shishka's gun. I certainly want to keep all of you gear-wise at a place where you can handle the upcoming challenges.

My vote would be to give it to Shiska. While magic is important, I don't really require it as much as damage is really just a bi-product of lockdown.

@Zell: So the next "Level" feat is that an Epic, Signature or a normal one? I'm thinking of grabbing an Adrenaline Deed when possible if you allow it. Unless I find something super cool in the Codex Tal linked. While +1 BAB is effective, its not nearly cool enough.


Your next level feat could be Epic, Signature, or a regular feat, whichever you want.
Adrenaline Deed would be an Epic feat (i.e. it would be available at 7th level). Adrenaline Rush +2 would be a Signature Feat -- or Knockout or Squad Commander.

started to look over the codex and realized I may have screwed myself. multi classing has made me ineligible to improve bard abilities, and there are no feats for gunslingers. the codex assumes that everyone is single classed to level 6.

not sure how to advance right now.
