Oro-Tu |
Oh. Then Woo!! Never mind the addle brained tulita over here. Also like the Elan reference haha.
Beth Macara |
Natalie, Oro-Tu, then top of the round.
Brvheart, Beth is trying to interrupt the necromancer casting with her ligthning bolt. You need to have the necromancer make a second reflex save DC 16 vs the lightning bolt of Beth, then a concentration check DC 10+spell level + damage (7 or 15) depending on the reflex save
Natalie Desmee |
Looking around Natalie sees that the action has progressed further into the room and sha moves to just behind Leialoha.
move action - H6 to G7 to F8 to E9 to E11
brvheart |
reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
concentration: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 DC 19
E11 puts you just in front of Oro-Tu Natalie. Leialoha is blind. Oru-Tu up.
Beth Macara |
[dice=reflex]d20+6
[dice=concentration]d20+11 DC 19E11 puts you just in front of Oro-Tu Natalie. Leialoha is blind. Oru-Tu up.
Damn, still it got 7 points of damage

[dice=concentration]d20+11 DC 19E11 puts you just in front of Oro-Tu Natalie. Leialoha is blind. Oru-Tu up.
When it hit you should have noticed a shimmering around him also as if he is a bit fuzzy. It is difficult to determine exactly where he is.
Oro-Tu |
sorry guys, had an ER visit with the wife but everything OK.I have a question: mirror images occupy your square, so is this a large sized creature based on the map? If so what does it look like aka is it humanoid or other? If not, is there some other effect preventing us knowing his square?
brvheart |
He is human and occupies the center square. I just use the five to represent him and his images. He is rather blurry though. Glad everything is ok with your wife:)
brvheart |
Back to the spell on Leialoha, there was a chance of spell failure. He fails on a 1. spell failure: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Oro-Tu |
Oro-Tu charges at the wizard masked in illusions (10ft charge to 10ft away)
charge pa, rage: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 - 2 = 22
damage: 1d10 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 6 = 23
sorry again for the long delay. Will let you roll for mirror image miss chance
brvheart |
mirror 1 is caster: 1d5 ⇒ 1
Not a problem. I was in the ER with my mother all day today myself and will be in and out of the hospital with her for awhile.
Ok, now to roll for displacement. miss change 51 or higher hits: 1d100 ⇒ 26 I said he was rather fuzzy.
Oro-Tu |
that figures lol. I think its top of the round now. I knew I should have thrown a smoke stick at him haha

Leialoha |
Feeling Oro-Tu rush past, Leialoha silently debates his next move for a moment. Not hearing any movement from the necromancer, he calls out in Tulita, "Get down Oro-Tu!" The Tulita shaman spreads his hands and counting an his warning and Oro-Tu's quick reflexes, he sends another fan of flames into the same location he last saw the necromancer.
Casts burning hands: 5d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 1, 2) + 3 = 12 fire damage, DC 19 Reflex save for half.
Well, at least its a weak one if I hit you Oro-Tu.
brvheart |
A few peeps ahead of you, but I checked out the fan and it should not hit Oro-Tu reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Wexley |
It looks like I can take an indirect route to the left to come around at his side. Is that right? If so, double move up and through the hall.
brvheart |
That is correct Wexley, and the route he actually took invisible at the start of the combat!
Beth Macara |
Repeating her own actions, Beth once again readies herself to strike him with a bolt when he tries to cast.
Ready an action to use a lightning bolt for 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4) = 16 damage (Rx save DC 16 for half) to interrupt his casting.
brvheart |
The necromancer attempts to cast 1 is failure: 1d20 ⇒ 5
concentration check DC 21: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 ray of exhaustion
at Natalie ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
After all that he misses! Natalie and then Oro-Tu are up. When you want to break for Christmas let me know.
Beth Macara |
The necromancer attempts to cast [dice=1 is failure]d20
[dice=concentration check DC 21]d20+11 ray of exhaustion
at Natalie [dice=ranged touch]d20+6After all that he misses! Natalie and then Oro-Tu are up. When you want to break for Christmas let me know.
And you forgot the second concentration check to cast defensively with DC=21 :)
For Christmas, I can post until the 24th. Then I'm off until the 28th.Oro-Tu |
My vacation already started though obviously won't check much 24-25 and new year's. Break whenever you want to DM. Or we can play and just post slowly as we have time, up to you guys
brvheart |
He doesn't need to cast defensively due to the displacement as it offers 50% concealment so no AOO. Otherwise, I would just have him back up 5' and avoid it, either way.
Oro-Tu |
I think he would have to back up, the spell says that the concealment does not affect targeting the creature normally. Not that it really matters.
Natalie Desmee |
Moving past Leialoha carefuly so as not to cut him with the very sharp sword in her hands she approaches one of the necromancers and swings at him.
+2 adamantine greatsword: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 dmg: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13 concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 11
move action - move 10 ft. from E11 to E13
standard action - attack necromancer? or image?
Oro-Tu |
Oro-Tu closes his eyes after marking the necromancer's location and swings blind at him. (5ft step to close with him first)
attack 1, pa: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 11 - 2 = 19
damage: 1d10 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 6 = 19
miss chance, hit 51+: 1d100 ⇒ 30
attack 2, pa: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 2 = 16
damage: 1d10 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 6 = 23
miss chance, hit 51+: 1d100 ⇒ 75
brvheart |
first swing at images 1 is caster: 1d4 ⇒ 2
second swing: 1d3 ⇒ 2
The good news is that he now only has 1 image left after that exchange. Top of round. I have removed the top two rows of the map to make it easier to see what is going on.

also,my attacks were immune to mirror image and displacement, since I closed my eyes and hit blind (50% miss chance but must target correct square). Spell says if the attacker is blind, the spell has no effect.. Don't know if the 16 would hit anyway, but just FYI
brvheart |
No, but it is considered a near miss and destroys and image. Wexley, that is the left as your character is facing. I presumed you were coming around the body pile. Sorry if I misunderstood. It does give you the advantage of cutting off his escape route. With a single move you can take a shot at 40' or double move and get within 10'.
Wexley |
I meant left on the map around the hall, if that was an option. If not, I can work from here.
I'll try to say "west" in the future.
brvheart |
Note my edit Wexley. Seems our posts crossed. It was rather bunched up there. You could have moved there, but it would be really hard to get a clear shot.
Wexley |
Noted.
Wexley hurries around the pile of bodies, trying not to breathe in very much on the way. He fires his pistol at the necromancer, hoping to at least take down a false image.
Pistol: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20, Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 5
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 34, Him or Image: 1d2 ⇒ 2
He then uses his bandolier to reload a shot.
