Sorry, I did not realize that was you at first. I created tokens for everyone. FYI, I know almost nothing about Roll20 as I usually use D20Pro, but I am in a couple of games so I thought I would give it a try!

Good catch Oro. Fixed.

Roll20 is great. It's pretty easy to use and has a lot of features, and works well for getting things going fast. My biggest complaint is that there's no easy way to move player tokens over from one map to the next.

Unfortunately, the maps for RC were never done high res for VTT so they really look fugly, but at least you can see what the sewers look like! Some of the later stuff will be easier to deal with. I can't wait until you actually get out at sea exploring.

Going through what we do again:

Silas - Sandman Bard 7 - support fighter and other skills individual. If we ever get a talky encounter I should be great - though maybe not with my dice rolling.
Leiahola - Tulita Wizard (Scrimshaw Fetishist) 7 - magic damage dealer with lots of burning hands
Oro-Tu - Tulita Barbarian/Ranger - main melee damage dealer
Natalie - Swashbuckler 7 - Secondary melee damage dealer

Then

Wexley - Paladin/Wizard - support caster and ranged combat. In trouble with his mom
Lyst - Halfling Cleric 7 - Evangelist and support. Defensive rather than offensive.

From my perspective having another mage would be useful to be able to borrow spells from to cast. Either having Wexley back or replacing Beth with one. Not sure that I can borrow Divine spells to use.

I probably need to figure my role more as the majority of my Bard abilities have no use in combat.


I think now that we're done down here in the sewers I have to believe we'll be able to take advantage of your talking more (unless we just go to a throw down with the gnoll).

Fireballs and their versatile ilk are going to start seeing more use from Leialoha (although you may all need to make him keep the reigns on in town). He picks up Empower spell now which in combo with Magical Lineage will let him prepare Empowered Fireballs in his brand new shiny Level 4 slots.

If we do get another mage, either Wexley back or a new one this may not matter, but Leialoha could also start learning and preparing spells in his lower spell slots that would also help Silas with Stealspell. Let me know if there are some specific ones you'd like him to learn/prepare and I can start seeing if I can work that into his repertoire.

I think your assessment of what we need is spot on. What is your preference D-Kal? Do you prefer Wexley or Lyst?

The Exchange

I enjoy both characters, but it seems we need a cleric most now. That, and I've barely test-driven Lyst thus far, so it would be nice to take him through some more encounters. If Beth returns or we end up with another cleric (or oracle, etc) I can sub in Wexley again.

I could go either way. Since 3e I've stuck with the 1/4 philosophy - 1 cleric/healer per 4 members...that said some more blasty/battlefield control/utility arcane could be useful.

has a teamwork feat(I don't know if anyone else has it and teamwork feats are only useful when others in the party have the same feat)

Inquisitors have "solo tactics" which lets them use teamwork feats solo. They also get bonus teamwork feats.

In his case, he would need to flank with someone to get precise strike. He would get the bonus damage, the other flanker would not.

I think its a solid character, but we'd definitely want D-Kal to stick with Lyst. Inquisitors may be divine, but they can't fill the role a cleric can play and we've already seen the need for the versatility a cleric provides.

That may present some challenges for Silas though he and I might be able to work together to plan some spells for him to borrow.

The real question is does it fit with the roles we wanted covering. I thought we were after magical or divine versatility rather than combat.

Since I'm not that familiar with Inquisitors I don't know, but I'd hazard the guess to your question is no. Yeah we have combat covered well enough. I'd rather have another cleric, druid, or oracle.
