The party spends a few minutes torching up or dripping acid on the fallen trolls to ensure they don't regenerate. Once the deed is finsihed Desmond and Grung lead the way down a long hall that turns at a right angle and leads up a set of stairs.

You enter into a large room in the northeast corner of the chamber is a wide spiral staircase set in the floor, from which wafts a putrid odor. There is a hallway on the northwest wall. Standing with longswords weapons drawn are two trolls wearing chain shirts stand ready attack.

I'm not sure how many spells you have left but conservation may be in order, especially given these are the mooks. You haven't gotten to real baddies on this level.

In the northeast corner of the chamber is a wide spiral staircase set in the floor leading downward, from which wafts a putrid odor. There is a blood smear near the steps, as if something was dragged that way. The hall leading out on the northwestern wall is 10 feet wide, it is eerie.
