Reynaud's blade connects to the hobgoblin, but the humanoid just bares his teeth threateningly. Brodin takes a step back, drawing back his bowstring again, and three arrows emerge from the hobgoblin's armor. Gilda tucks her sling behind her belt and draws her scimitar, keeping an eye on the stairs.

From around the corner of the passage back to the entry, four hobgoblin archers appear, taking aim at Brodin. Not surprisingly, the dwarf easily dodges the arrows. The injured hobgoblin bearing two sicles steps up to the dwarf as another with matching sickles steps in behind him. One of the wickedly sharp sickles comes very close to striking him.

"Close it! Block it with a spike if you can! I've got a grappling hook..." Tony growls as he circles around the wounded hobgoblin. He feints left then whips up his dagger to the right, thrusting the blade for the hobgoblin's throat. When he completes the cut, Tony gives his dagger a flourish before sliding it back into its sheathe.

Craning his neck, he looks past Belle, where Brodin is standing down six hobgoblins alone, bow in hand and one right up in the dwarf's face.
Torag would be proud, he thinks.

Reynaud and Tony manage to take down the severely wounded hobgoblin as Belle fills the passage, the only known retreat, with webs. Gilda calls out, "I hear you Tony!", and rushes over to close the door.

Actually, damage increased due to them casting lead blades 3 rounds ago. Will just increase damage by +1 per hit instead of re-rolling.

Hobgoblin Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

A glowing bearlike image superimposes itself over Brodin and sinks into him. The dwarf's featuires becume slightly more bestial and ursine. Taking another step back, he fires three more arrows, Striking only once. And yet the hobgoblin continues to strain against the restraining webs.

Unfortunately for the first, he is held fast by the arcane webbing. But the second in line breaks free, pushes his way through the webs and swings her two sickles at the dwarf, connecting twice with the dwarf abnd drawing blood . The remaining four remain caught like flies.

Garrosh makes his way over to the corner by the stairs and peeks around, seeing a solitary hobgoblin rising from a crouch about halfway down the corridor.

Garrosh, I'm going to treat your move to the corner and look around as a move action, so you can take another standard or move action this round.

Tony rushes to Gilda's side.
"Thank you, Gilda!"
He drops his crossbow at his feet and reaches into his backpack, fishing about for his grappling hook.

Tony's gonna rig a crude trap; with the grappling hook, he's going to bury the actual hook into the door's frame so that the length of metal blocks the door from opening. He's then going to use a length of twine and a flask of alchemical fire to hang from the hook, so that if the door opens, boom!

Seir's blade connects, drawing blood, and burning skin. Brodin, hearing Reynaud's words, takes another shot at the hobgoblin in front of him, catching it in the left shoulder, before rolling back out of combat and moving down the hallway.

In the webs, the hobgoblins struggle to free themselves. One breaks free and pushes backward through the webbing. Garrosh and Seir silently debate the killing of the helpless creatures.

The door next to Tony rattles, as if someone trying to open it, but it holds.

Peering around the corner, Garosh is certain he sees the hobgoblin in front of him smile as it retreats to the darkened crevasse at the end of the hall.

The dual-sickle wielding hobgoblin in front of Seir slashes twice at the priest, but it's clumsy swings are easily avoided.

Tony flips the grappling hook in his hand and licks his lips. With a wrenching motion, he buries the hook into the door frame, so the length of metal bars the door from opening. He hangs onto the hook, putting his full weight into the hook so it is secure.
When he's sure, he reaches into his pack and takes out a flask and grins.
"One of Damiel's finest brews; truly one of the best alchemists around. Tony Tannner doesn't use anything else," he says, flashing a grin at Glinda.

The webs tremble as the hobgoblins within attempt to break free. The one immediately behind the one in melee withdraws a potion and drinks it. The sickle-wielding hobgoblin swings twice at the cleric. striking once and drawing blood. Garrosh sees the hobgoblin at the end of the hall remove something from a pouch; a flask.

Belle takes out a flask of acid and lobs it at the hobgoblin at the edge of the webbing, figuring even on a miss she'll hit something. -2 range penalty. Not sure if there is soft cover or not.

As carefully as he can, Tony uses a length of twine to suspend the flask from the grappling hook, looping one end around the grip of the hook and the other around the neck of the flask. If or when the door was forced open, and if he'd done this just right, there would be a fiery surprise—perhaps not enough to kill but enough to leave a mark.

Tony steps back, admiring his handiwork with some doubt.
What if they don't apply enough force?
He shakes his head.
Can't dwell on the 'what ifs?'.

His mind raced for a split second, and then Garrosh was spurred into action, charging down the hall at the hobgoblin drawing out the potion - "We've got incoming this way!" - he roared, moving off.

Ok GM HoF, so I'm sure I won't be able to reach the goblin and attack him, but with my move (20') and if I run, perhaps I can be close enough before my round is over to at least threaten him? That is the plan, and actually make it harder for him to throw anything into the room - if as Garrosh suspects he is planning on throwing alchemist fire, we'll be in a bad spot... Hence the mad rush ;)

Second, are those stairs? I assume they slope up or down only gently? Or I wouldn't see the hobgoblin?

Reynaud stabs the hobgoblin through the gut. The creature clutches at the longsword for a moment, it's mouth moving as if to say something, and then slides off the blade to the floor, dark blood pooling beneath him.

Garrosh takes a step to begin his run toward the bomber at the end of the hall. But then an odor catches his nostrils; oil. He glances down the stairs before him and sees that the floor of the hallway after the stairs is slick with oil.

Let me know if you care to continue your action. The oil covers the first 20 feet after the stairs Have added it to the map.

Brodin's bowstring twangs twice, but they both miss, as does Gilda's sling stone.

Since he has a bardiche, he should be able to stand up 5' away from the hobgoblin and not getting hit by any AoO. If that's not possible due to all the sliding, he'll just reach the AoO :P

I assume I still got hit by the fire? That means Garrosh is, at the moment a fuming half orc :D

What hobgoblin? It threw the alchemist fire and moved away, you see no hobgoblin. Is there one on the map?

My bad GM HoF, I did not check the map after all the back and forth, and thought the hobgoblin was there after he threw the flask.

In that case, Garrosh wants to stand up and move slowly forward 15', stopping if he sees any movement or hears any sounds from ahead.
