Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
They are the Irredeemable. The unclean. Breaking the law is in their nature, the evil taint of their birth. Do they surrender and grovel? They do so only out of fear. We have the might of righteousness on our side, but do not mistake their fear for that it is not.
He looks at the goblins, seeing their eyes glint hungrily as they roam over their weapons on the floor.
Do they repent? Never. Tie them up if you must, but be certain they will betray our mercy, and at their earliest chance. The only mercy you can give a goblin, is a swift death and a prayer for their reincarnation. The goblin form itself is anathema to goodness, full of unnatural lusts and depravity. Even now they plot our murder.

The goblins start chanting in goblin:
"We be licktoads! We make raid!
Put the longshanks to the blade!
Burn them up from feet to head!
Make them hurt, then make them dead!
Cut the parents into ham!
Smush the babies into jam!
All the rest in pot get stewed!
We be licktoads- you be food!"
Irenicus |
Irenicus walks over to the goblins and helps bind them. Afterwards he uses prestidigitation to make a wind ruffle his hair and clothing, eyes glowing blue, "Which one of you dared to laugh at me?"
He waits for the obviously laying of blame to avoid his ire, assuming that at least 3 goblins will point one out. He moves over and slashes the goblin with a scroll he wields.
Damage, coup de grace: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
He then glances at the rest in disgust. "You'd do well to dispatch the rest before you find a knife in your back or throat." he says nonchalantly, walking over to inspect the room.
Kaztor Strongforge |
"There is no redemption for these beasts. Dwerfater, guide my hammer," the dwarf calls out as he makes quick work of the other two goblins. "If we sent them on their way, they would have laid more traps for the next unsuspecting group to pass by here."
brvheart |
One of them pipes up, "We all laugh at you longshanks. King Goblin will cut you up and feed you to his wives."
Irenicus |
Well, I didn't expect goblins to defend each other like that when at mercy, so change my attack to the leader who is at 0.
Irenicus slashes the leader's throat open, then walks off ignoring the goblins, allowing them only the pleasure of watching their leader bleed out on the floor while the rest dispatch them.
brvheart |
They swear at you fouly in goblin as they are slaughtered trying to bite you. The leader has an amulet that detects magic as I am sure you will be doing that soon.
Elathras Narcinal |
well that's a surprise, the paladin said to kill them, course he didn't dirty his hands did he Elathras watches his teammates kill the other goblins while he checks the first two corpses. An amulet, wonder if it's magical. After checking the first two corpses and holding up the amulet for all to see "someone check to see if this is magical" he goes over to the door 17 and checking it quickly for traps attempts to open it.

The kitchen has been totally wrecked. Goblins, not known for their love of fine dining, have taken away all the pots and utensils to be melted down in the smithy. The pantry is now home to some half-dried fish. Interestingly the spices have been left untouched, although it looks like a few goblins have at least gnawed at everything to see if it was tasty. A goblin wearing a crude apron is happily cutting the half-dried fish into small chunks with a cleaver, clearly enjoying himself.
Elathras Narcinal |
Elathras, pole arm in hand, calls over his shoulder to his companions, "got another one in the kitchen, are we going to kill it before or after we ask it about the tribe?"

Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
He appears to have fainted.
Dolgrin continues onward, after retrieving his axe and examining the fish.
Elathras Narcinal |
wow, that's one option I guess, strange the similarity of an axe and a cleaver looking at the bloody little Halfling, his axe in hand, so similar to the goblin and its cleaver: He shrugs as he walks into the kitchen "Vermin must be exterminated, but there is no honor in it." Elathras takes a look around the kitchen, picking up the cleaver and looking at it, then proceeding to open the pantry door and looking in there also.

My people have spent generations at war with goblinkind. I doubt, in that entire time, that even one has been redeemed.
He pokes his head in the next room, sniffs, then darts out.
One of you bigfolk will want to collect that cinamon. It smells fresh.

While the whole castle is showing signs of decay, this tower is seeing
the worst of it. The spongy wooden floor gives a little when stepped on.
There is a ladder against the far wall that is still traversable by a Small
creature.
Sort of like killing wild hogs Elathras
Elathras Narcinal |
As Elathras walks out of the kitchen he hands the cleaver to the paladin, saying "here, this is more your size and seems to fit your style, anyway it can be a trophy for your first 'cook kill'" as they are talking they leave the building and going east Elathras checks the door the paladin selects and inspects it for traps and locks.

Kaz will Detect Magic as the group proceeds. He will also grab whatever spices are left behind in the kitchen area, making sure the lids are tight before dumping them into his pouch. These will make the bear taste much better!
Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
Friend Elathras, if you'd just stand here and steady the ladder, I'll go up. If I yell, I'll be coming down fast.
Dolgrin grips his axe a moment, then begins to climb the ladder.

The ladder goes up to the 2nd floor. Does not seem to be strong enough to support a medium sized creature though.
Elathras Narcinal |
seeing the ladder isn't very stable, Elathras, setting his pack down, pulls the rope out of it and tossing it up to Dolgrin asks "would you tie that off securely so I can climb up?"
Dolgrin Brightlaughter |
Of course
Dolgrin ties the rope to the stone wall, then calls down.
Unless you can pull down the wall, you'll be fine
