once Elathras gets to the bottom of the stairs, he calls out "Look Gruk, a tunnel, and dead rats and lots of blood." Elathras turns to the right (going north) keeping a keen eye out, he will head to the door to north on the western wall and check it for locks or traps.

After opening the door to the north with the hand axe in it and finding a hallway that runs east and west, Elathras smiles at Beltin "Look Beltin they gave us a key!"

Elathras happily takes the key out of the door and returning to the door near where the stairs were, on the western wall he inspects the door for traps and theninserts the key and attempts to unlock the door looking carefully inside.
