Elathras gathers the gear from the dead, looking at the weapons carefully, asking as he does, "Hey Gruk, can you tell if any of this stuff is magical?"

Realizing that in the fight his silk scarf had slipped off his acid-reduced nose, he pulls it back up, nodding to his half-orc friend.
"Thanks Gruk!"
As Gruk looks at the items, Elathras picks up the torch he dropped; carrying his hammer in the other hand, he begins to proceed down ?the stairs, moving slowly keeping a keen eye out.

once Elathras gets to the bottom of the stairs, he calls out "Look Gruk, a tunnel, and dead rats and lots of blood." Elathras turns to the right (going north) keeping a keen eye out, he will head to the door to north on the western wall and check it for locks or traps.

The north door has been scratched and hacked with a handaxe that is
still embedded in it (DC 16 Strength check to remove). The key is in the lock.

Elathras smiles and points to the door "Look Daal a hatchet" then grasping the handaxe he attempts to pull it out of the door. "Huh" shrugging his shoulders he turns the key in the door and attempts to open the door looking inside.

After opening the door to the north with the hand axe in it and finding a hallway that runs east and west, Elathras smiles at Beltin "Look Beltin they gave us a key!"
Elathras happily takes the key out of the door and returning to the door near where the stairs were, on the western wall he inspects the door for traps and theninserts the key and attempts to unlock the door looking carefully inside.
