Okay, I'll go ahead and cast Inflict Light Wounds on the sailor furthest to the fore of the ship. He seems to be trying to avoid the fight, and that's just not gonna happen.

The zombie will now begin swinging at the only living sailor in reach.

Zombie Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Delilah weaves together a spell and her disembodied hand streaks out toward the sailor furthest from her. It impacts and opens up a black wound across his chest that looks as though it is already necrotic. The zombie continues to press its clumsy attack.

Razul once again hits the raging Barbarian captain but the man does not fall. Bracnos begins to grow in size with a spell. Syldran wraps himself even tighter around the hapless sailor and sinks his fangs in to the man extinguishing him of life. The zombie misses his target but a spectral hand touches him and causes him pain. Lillith moves towards Kargeld and strikes him from behind right after Razul sliced him and the man falls down dying. Some of the remaining sailors (three) flee from the boat in terror jumping into the water trying to escape. The sailor in front of the zombie drops his weapons and surrenders.

Wade jumps into the water and channels dark energy on some of the fleeing men since they went in different directions. Razul spends his time finishing off any sailors not completely dead. Syldran jumps in the water grapples one of the sailors and drags him under. Delilah assists Wade in damaging one of the fleeing sailors. The zombie strikes the surrendering sailor and then Bracnos crushes him on his way out of the boat in his large form. A few moments later all the sailors are dead save Yurik who is clutching his chest and laughing.

As Yurik is laughing he is finally able to remove his top to reveal a tattoo of Asmodeous and a prison scar from a different prison in Talingarde...

Razul inspects Kargeld's pockets and finds a key and leaves to inspect Kargelds personal items as Annak draws a knife and cuts out some of the dead captains teeth.

The dead sailors all had studded leather armor, short swords, spears, short bows and 20 arrows apiece. Kargeld had hide armor, a MW Great Axe and 2 throwing axes.

Razul finds an old battered lock box which contains 6000 gp inside.

"Nice haul here." Razul tells the others as he drags out the lockbox. Coming out, he notices Yurik's new "revelation" and gives him a hard look for deception.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 eh..

He then returns to the cabin for a more thorough search.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

A more thorough search reveals a small silver statuette of a nude mermaid (worth 50 gp) and 115 gp in loose coinage clatters around underneath Kargelds personal items. A wooden crate labeled ‘emergency rations’ contains six fine bottles of whiskey worth 10 gp apiece.

After taking a few of his teeth, Annak wipes her dagger on his tunic, and then checks the health of anyone who needs healing. Looking over at Yurik and his identifications, Annak asks "Do we kill him anyway or let him go on his way for further service to the Cardinal?"

with all this loot, are we splitting it evenly amongst ourselves or as a communal pot for the best bang?

Annaks vote is to let Yurik go do whatever he does for Thorn, bring the boat out to the middle of the water and set it on fire, or sink it to remove any signs. sink the bodies with stones and make them fish food.

Wade suggests leaving Yurok alive and turning the crew into skeletons and then offering the boat to the people they gave the weapons to, and if they don't want it, then we burn it.

The party burns the ship and all of the dead sailors included. They pack up their belongings and spoils and begin their walk to Balentyne. They arrive on the outskirts of their intended target and come to the town of Aldencross. It is a small town and most business there deals with the fortress and the surrounding farms and the lake.

what happened to Yurik?

"Ah, Aldencross, it's been a while." Razul exclaims as they near the outskirts of the town.
"We have some choices. It is not uncommon for bands of adventurers to come here and provision for expeditions to the north. Also, we could just act as peddlers with all the gear we've acquired. As to a place to stay, an old acquaintance of mine, Gamsey, could give us a discreet location. If he is still around, I know he is no admirer of the government as they executed his sister a while ago. Once we are settled, we should visit the Lord's Dalliance as it will be an excellent place to get more current information."

She turns to Razul.

"I'll follow your lead, darling."

I'm gonna go ahead and say that Delilah's zombie pet has been destroyed and burned with the rest of the evidence. As useful as it might be, it'll only be a hindrance to whatever cover story we come up with. Also, we never got a real answer about who Yurik was and what he was doing on Kargeld's ship, so I have no idea how we should proceed regarding him.

While Syldran takes the stealthy approach to knowledge of the guards' activities, Delilah tries a different tactic. Simply put, she saunters up to the first male guard she sees and flirts the information out of him. Tactfully. ~_^
