apparently, but if he had to move more than 5' to attack the first time, only the first attack should apply.

He would not last long in a drow society. He is too pathetic to sacrifice. He would die a slave in the first week. He better be worth something or I will make him into a spell componet
Standing protectively in front of timeon,
Timeon, you will need to face your fears. There will come a day when we can not protect you any longer. Take heart in what we do and learn from our actions.

Saulric swings his mace again intent on striking down the undead monstrosity. ATK: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 DAM: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
GM Qwerty |
Szordrin and Saulric manage to put the last undead down. The room gets eerily quiet as the party inspects the remains of the coffins and discover only 4 of the 8 coffins were destroyed by the undead breaking out of them. The remaining 4 coffins appear normal with dead sailors in them. All there is left in the room is the next door.
The party opens the door and see yet another hallway which ends at a stout door. This door is wooden and reinforced with iron bands. It is locked with a good lock. Above the door bears an inscription: “Serve thy master well and be rewarded.” Hanging beside the door on a peg is a heavy iron key that unlocks the door.
Alaric Morgain |
ALaric takes the key and examines the lock and door for traps before using it. He also listens at the door to see if he can hear anything.
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Alaric Morgain |
Alaric moves away from the door and whispers to the others. "Sounds like someone is praying on the other side of the door.. not loudly but praying nonetheless. Could be a ruse... or could be an enemy... we should prepare for a fight just in case."
Saulric The Black |
Looking over his weapons Saulric ultimately sticks with the mace before gathering his sword and replacing it in it's sheath. That's what I'm always prepared for.
Szordrin Arkenheld |
Szordrin lowers his voice so the he is certain that only the group can hear him...Perhaps if someone was to listen at the door, they might be able to understand the litany. Then maybe we will have a better understanding of whom or what is behind the door.
Alaric Morgain |
"I couldn't quite make it out, sorry, not sure if it is audible through the door at all."
GM Qwerty |
The men open the door and see another square room like many of the previous rooms they entered before. They see a large man in a knights armor, armed with a sword standing at one end of the room. It appears he just finished praying to Mitra. He stands up after the door is opened.
"What am I doing here?" he asks. "Are you here to save me?"
Saulric The Black |
Saulric stretches. Perhaps. We seek something within these chambers. A trinket made of silver and sapphire. Have you seen it?
GM Qwerty |
The man fully stands and most of you recognize him as Lord Balin, a knight in the service of Mitra and the man who captured many of you in his travels across the land. He wears around his neck a sunburst of silver and sapphire -- a holy symbol of Mitra. It appears he has not recognized you all for criminals yet due to the torchlight conditions.
"You must mean my Mitran pendant. You seek it to protect you as well in this prison? Advance and tell me of how you came to be here like me?"
Saulric The Black |
I move closer uncaring if he sees. It will not protect us, we have merely been sent to retrieve it.
Szordrin Arkenheld |
Look back at timeon
Observe first and then make your own decision. Do not let him see you or his lies will tie you up in knots. Watch as he denounces anyone that is not of his faith.

Saulric The Black |
I bow. I am Saulric Milord. I am on a quest to reunite with my beloved, but require the aid of others to do so. One of the others requires your pendant.
GM Qwerty |
"Your desire to see your loved one is a noble quest Good Saulric. Blessings to you. Now speak of who needs the aid of Mitra? Who are the others trapped in here with you?" Lord Balin responds to Saulric.
Timeon silently nods at Szordrins comments and hangs back behind the others.
Alaric Morgain |
Alaric keeps his mouth shut and hangs in the back just in front of Timeon, not wanting to attract attention nor to speak up and say the wrong thing the wrong way.. or even the right thing the wrong way.
Saulric The Black |
I am afraid I am not well acquainted with them myself. I gesture to them. Elisa The Half-elf, Alaric the tiefling, and Szordin, a drow in appearance. Assume I introduced Nidjena unless we've given up hope of her.
GM Qwerty |
"A dark elf? How is it that you come to travel with a dark elf? And a demon spawn? What sort of companions do you have Saulric? My good man you have been swayed by the darkness with these companions of yours. Maiden Elisa, good Saulric, please get behind me as I determine whether your other companions have cast a spell upon you to pull away from the light of Mitra." the knight responds with his usual religious bigotry.
Saulric The Black |
My fingers tighten on the hilt of my blade. I would thank you not to spread Mitra's hate in front of me. They have done us no wrong.
