Xoricon Quickblade |
"Behind you!" says the bard to the unseen goblins. Xoricon releases his grip on the bow and mutters a phrase, waving a hand about. He focuses on the dark hole above. The sound of neighing and clopping hooves echoes within the goblin's hideaway.
Ghost Sound. Trying to flush them out.
Leepo Toggenburg |
No initiative for me?
Leepo removes a smaller fireball from the necklace and tosses it up there.
qwerty71 |
The goblins hear a ghost sound coming from the rafters, but the one called Yarrak tells them it is not real and the goblins stay up above, but now come into view since they did move closer to the edge.
"You pinkskins away now go! Goblins rule down here!" the goblin called Yarrak yells out.

Javelin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 for Piercing: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

One of the goblin helpers moves forward to throw a bomb at the party and Thelebs readied action goes off and hits the goblin who drops the bomb below in the messy lower part of the room.
Gurda and Jinny can act
Theleb Ka'arna |
"I would prefer we not do a bum rush yet. They tend to hurt. Let's see if we can make them to that to us ... so, Leepo toss your fireballs when ready."
qwerty71 |
the goblins will not come down after seeing Theleb kill one so easily. they will delay.

Leepo tosses the fireball pearl up into the rafters and while not a great shot it still gets close to the goblins save for 1/2. The fireball also hits a vial of Alchemist fire just prepared and causes the vial to break adding another splash damage of fire on the goblins.
Yarak took full damage (14 points) and falls down. Of the three helpers one passed his REF save but the cumulative 1/2 damage of both explosions kills him. The other two helpers die in the fireball explosion.
The team hears a large fireball explosion and then another fire explosion in addition to screaming and burning goblins. the Noise was very loud and there is one goblin writhing on the rooms floor on fire.
Theleb Ka'arna |
Seeing Gurda charge in, and believing the goblins distracted by the fireball, Theleb follows her example ... smacking the nearest gobo as he dodges Gurda's attack.

The half orcs manage to dispatch the remaining goblin. The room is even more destroyed from the fireball and alchemist fire explosions and nothing is salvageable. Although there are crude drawings in charcoal upon the walls...
Jhon Doe |
Jhon inspects the drawings and asks the group:
Is there any of you who can decipher what that´s mean?
Leepo Toggenburg |
"Not me. Goblin scratchings usually don't mean much anyhow."
Leepo looks around at the destruction. "What do you think this stuff was, anyway?"
Theleb Ka'arna |
"What ever it was ... it was worth it. I mean how good could it be; they are goblins after all ... distracted by shiny regardless of worth."
qwerty71 |
The collective group studies the picture and determines it appears to be extremely rudimentary pictorial map of Magnimar with fire and smoke pouring from the buildings, as well as numerous dead dogs, horses, and humanoids.
Leepo Toggenburg |
"Wishful thinking, or do you think they have a plan?"
Xoricon Quickblade |
Do there appear to be any particular landmarks, or indications as to what they want to do first?"
"Well, that may be the plan in its entirety--'goblins burn, goblins smash, kill the longshanks and take their cash,' or something like that," says Xoricon, still rubbing his whiskers.
Theleb Ka'arna |
Theleb begins to copy what they see into his notebook ...
"Perhaps somebody at the Lodge can figure it out. In the meantime, we should make sure this place is secured."
Jhon Doe |
Ok, lets continue searching for goblins. Says Jhon starting to walk.

The party travels down a long corridor until they come upon a large room after a corner. A large stone channel bisects this dank chamber. Thick masonry pipes clutter the room, feeding into the channel or flowing across the ceiling. A stone walkway without a railing crosses the channel, but crude barbed caltrops litter the length of this bridge. The entire chamber is damp and moldy, and the faint sound of dripping water resonates softly through the area. On the other side of the bridge stand four goblins armed with dog-slicers and horse choppers and another goblin behind them armed with a whip.
