Taggins ear flinches at the sound of the word 'dragon'. "A dragun you say!" He remark excitingly. He takes a step back to get a better view drawing his weapon in the process. "Tis but a small one! But it's a start!"

Taggins draws his weapon like the others as the drake flies up and lands on the front of the boat...it hauks up something from its throat and spits out a wierd ball of mucus that explodes in-between Cyrus and Dante catching everyone but Taggins and Becket in a web of acid mucus taking Acid Damage, DC 12 REF to save for 1/2 of: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7 and you are entangled if you fail the REF save.
Once it tries to incapacitate some of the group it looks at the remaining ones as possible food sources...

The water snake slithers past Dante and falls back into the water... as Hellena gets covered in the mucus web and screams in pain while the half orc deftly avoids some of the acid web...

Drawing and slinging his bow with one hand, he quickly grabs his holy symbol with the other closing his eyes and allowing sacred energies to flow through and outwards from him. A soft, spectral mist appears in the area, bringing a gentle rain, and while it only lasts seconds, it washes away some of the wounds from those it touches before vanishing. But there is something corrupt about this land, and the energies meant to relieve suffering are blocked, partially, hindered by the ambient disbelief of the populace.

Taggins, now fuelled by excitement of his first ever 'dragon' encounter, follows the drake carefully with his eyes waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. His bow held high, and arrow ready to be released. He takes no attention to everything else, but the prize. As the beast glances away for a spilt second, Taggins immediately releases the trigger to send an arrow piercing through lower portion of the creatures wings.

For the entire time I've been playing Cyrus, I've totally forgotten the fact he has Arcane Strike. Don't know how I screwed that up!

Cyrus takes a step along the edge of the deck to get within range of the drake, while calling on arcane power to strengthen his weapon. He has yet to get his sea legs under him however, and the rocking of the boat throws his strike off.

Taggins soon finds his small stature to some disadvantage once more, "Hey! I can't see!" He yells annoyingly as he moves around to try to find a good angle. However his frustration best him as an arrow goes to waste. "Aughhh!"

Taking a step closer to the Dragonslayer, he draws another arrow, and, closing his eyes to offer a quick prayer of guidance with his aim, lets it fly, but it seems the ambient unfaithfulness of this land is affecting even his aim as it flies high, making a nearly inaudible splashing sound somewhere off in the distance.

Taggins gets blocked by the others as he tries to shoot his bow...Cyrus loses his balance from the motion of the boat while the half orc loses her footing from some slime on the deck... Beckett fails to hit the target with his arrow...

Dante swings his great sword once more...

Not wanting to lose the opportunity of his lifetime, the little Halfling pushes on, moving around the corner to get a nice clean angle at the drake. To his joy, his perseverance pays off a little.

Sighing at his poor display at cutting down the slippery beast, Dante curses the rocking boat. Spinning on his heel, he tries to take advantage of Taggins' well placed shot whilst bringing his bastard sword up throughto the creature's midriff. "Oh yes, I am sure Xanko's pointy stick would help!" he replies sarcastically.

Cyrus, Beckett and Omreejka all miss with their attacks but Taggins scores a hit and as the foe decides flight over fight Ser Dante puts the matter to rest with a clean strike sending the beast over the railing and into the deep.

The group notices the creature was fleeing towards a semi cleared bank on the side of the river...Taggins notices a hint of something shiny at that location due to the sun angle.

"Nuuuuuuuuooooo" The Halfling yells emotionally as he watches helplessly at the 'dragon' falling over the rail. He runs to the rails to watch the dragon fleeing, with lots emotions running through him. A single tear rolls down his cheek.

In the moment, he catches a glimpse of something shiny, and hope it's enough to bring the chase back of the 'dragon'. "Luk dur! Does anywun else see it? That shiny object, a clue you reckun?"

Cyrus watches Taggins reaction to the dragon dying and leans in to whisper to Dante. "Seems the little one's a bit shaken up about it. Maybe we ought to fish it out for him so he can stuff it. First 'dragon' kill and all"

The group steers the vessel to the area and after a moment of searching they find a small stash of uncut garnets and gold nuggets on the bank of the island hidden in the debris of the drakes lair...

Following the river drake confrontation and resumption of the journey east, Passad and the envoys emerge from below decks seeing that all danger has momentarily passed.

As the group settle down onto one general place on the boat Passad strides up and says...
"The Pathfinder Society continues to amaze me, and it seems to me increasingly prudent to enter into a business arrangement that would certainly be to our mutual benefit—particularly for those with an eye for spotting profit. Let me make my case simply: my trade network is growing and already blankets the Inner Sea like no other, and the dwarves cannot hope to compete with the prices I offer. Let us not forget that the Pathfinders have had many mutually profitable business dealings with me in the past.”

Nodding to Cyrus, Dante begins to doff his armour in preparation to retrieve the fallen Drake from the river whilst the rest of his group collect Taggin's spotted shiny object. Hoping there aren't more Dragons in this river, the noble sighs as he chooses to take off his jacket before diving off the railings and into the cold water.

Aiming to be out quickly, Dante dives for the drake's body, pulling off a perfect execution with his graceful moves as he makes the attempt.

Pulling himself aboard with prize in tow, Dante drops the beast at Taggin's feet before going off in search for a towel for his soaked chest, revealing a crisscross of small scars on his torso. When dry, he joins the group at Passad's request and hears him out.

"Hmm, we are always in need of strong allies in many fields. If you can deliver on your promises you will of course find the society a stalwart ally." Dante states as he combs back his hair.

Taggins marvels at Dante's act of chivalry. He squeals at the sight of the drake and thanks him profusely, "forever in debt to you!"

Immediately he takes the corpse to the lower decks for preservation, not really paying much attention to the discussion of an alliance.

Taggins would be neutral in the alliance, as long as it does not affect his livelihood.

Passad looks over and sees Metella coming over to the group and hastily tells the party "Don't forget what we have discussed and what I can do for the society. We can talk later." He walks away and gives a slight nod to the female dwarf as she comes up to the party and snorts out.

“Yes, Temel has his bejeweled fingers in many pies and can offer cheaper wares, but consider the advantages of a business relationship with my mercantile concern: our network is many centuries old, and the quality of our goods is unrivaled. Furthermore, an arrangement with a firm with such deep roots in the Five Kings Mountains would reinforce the military alliance the Society is already negotiating.”

After your discussions with the two competitors the doldrums of the journey continue. Near dusk, the captain of the boat points out a pleasant country inn up a hill on the north shore of the Glass River, where a small dock offers a berth for the Abacus. It appears this is a scheduled stop.

Passad and the envoys indicate they’ll wait out the night in their cabins while the group executes their mission at the Gray Revelation Inn.

Before leaving the boat, Amauhak strongly advises the party to refrain from violence on Razmiri soil if it can be helped; Metella and Passad, in rare agreement, concur. A stone path leads from the dock about 200 yards through some light tree cover to the villa. All appearances suggest a very cozy establishment, and the inn certainly serves the obvious purpose of a way station for travelers.

A sign above wide wooden gates reads, “Welcome to the Gray Revelation Inn.” The gate leans open invitingly, and the smell of fresh flowers wafts on the cool breeze.

With his armour repaired for now and his blade sharpened, Dante joins his allies as they make their way to the Inn up the hill. Eyes scanning the building's unassuming facade the Knight shakes his head andfrowns. "Doesn't look the place of a grand kidnapping, still appearances can be deceiving. I mean Xanko almost looks reputable from a distance."

As they make ready to enter, the Knight struggles to remember, "How are we doing this again?"
