If there is a murder on this ship, I'm gonna have to skip the Drow and accuse Rosalyn first. Just something about her that screams "I will snap and then I'll snap your neck" to me.

Might need a write up of some geography for the group as reference. I know some, but I don't know how much the rest know the world or history.
GM Pyros |
I'm getting my geography proofread now and will post ASAP.
I'll be auditing your characters for the coming combat, and we'll be doing group init, or cluster init, depending on rolls, first post first served unless you say otherwise or are shooting or something (cause shooting into melee).
I'll be PM inf everyone about stats and stuff real quick.
GM Pyros |
I'm using clustered groups for init as opposed to individual init or having one side go then the next.
Order
Pyre, 23
Grindylow1 20
Octopus 16
Grindylow 2 16
Rosalyn 15
Goandi 13
Desula 11
Grindylow3 11
Grindylow4 10
Thoyoitu 10
Victor 9
Nekare 9
I didn't want to split enemy group 2, but thoyoitu would have won the tie. So you will get to target Grindylow 4 as if he was flatfooted and can do that with this group if he wants to try. But then he's in the last group after that. It's a weird case, and I'm making the exception cause it's hard enough to get SA damage already

GM Desula Val'kyerin said it was evening and so I put Rosalyn to bed, then you told me it was day so I placed her, stopside, then there was a shot, and things moving, so I posted she.
Rosalyn taking a nap in the sun, is awaken buy the sound of a shot, and reaches out to strap on her Springbow and make up her long spear. Then her wings spring out and she takes to the rigging, seeking to get a vantage point as high as she can in them. Looking around at the see.

Sorry someone posted it was evening
She did all that and not a word,
Then you placed her on the ground surrounded with the others.I point out shes in the rigging and you say shes flying and/or in the rigging just 20 up,
I am sorry but I am feeling a little confused with the jumping about. Could we have a map please and know the time of day, I think it would really help.
GM Pyros |
Time of day is midday. I need the characters plans for the day so I would know what they were doing at the time of the attack.
I'm sorry for not acknowledging that Rosalyn had used her action to fly. She did fly in the prep-round, and was able to get up 10 ft moving half speed at a 45° angle with no fly check. Then in round 1 she moved up 10 more ft (45° angle ½speed). She's been in the air with Grindylow tossing spears into the air cause they can't reach her otherwise.
So she can be up to 20 ft up, in the rigging and landed if she wants to avoid fly checks if she ever gets hit.
Can't do a map this weekend, I'm out of town visiting my grandma... She's got a surgery on Tuesday, so the family is all together, but I can try for Wednesday.
Lady Rosalyn Aanya Luminuss |
You know what that's a good point, next round she's just going to fly around the fight, 20' and 20' away, next round pulling back 20'. Unless the little buggers have an endless pile of spears, one each is the norm they will not be throws much longer.
GM Pyros |
Thoyoitu is in the last group. So he is up now.
But because you toes with the last Grindylow 4, I said you could make an attack against it flatfooted before it attacks Goandi. You are only threatened by one, so you would only risk 1 AoO unless you crazy l away.
Ross you could also have landed in the rigging and be shooting them.
They all have 2 extra spears.
Thoyoitu "The Tenguin" Choco-ku |
Is there any way to crawl away without an AoO? But wait, am I able to sneak attack the guy who is threatening me? Because IIRC, if I can sneak attack them, then I don't risk an AoO due to Dexterity bonuses being lost and such. But I'm not sure it's the same guy.

Me bad missed that sorry.

Its the party's turn. Pyre and victor have acted so the rest can go.
3 rounds of unconsciousness are over.
It's also a full-round action to coup de grace, something to keep in mind
I can start posting init in the header, but right now there are no conscious enemies, so the whole party will have a round of actions, and the order doesn't really matter for now.

Hey everybody!
I wanted to apologize about the pacing and some of the other issues going on with the game so far.
I'm thinking I should get to the next chapter of the story a little sooner than I'd initially planned. For me personally, some of my absolute favorite moments playing Pathfinder were in the Skulls & Shackles AP for the time our game was running. I loved interacting with NPC's that could become invaluable allies throughout the future of the campaign, the on-ship drama and intrigue, limited resources and having to scrape by. I had wanted to recreate that but have a chance to get used to the Ship-mechanic and streamline the process first. That had been one of the main challenges with that game that to avoid by easing into it for a couple in-game days.
But that's not the kind of thing everybody is interested in. So two quick questions, before things move on. How much in-game time would you like to have to deal with the creatures locked in the hold? Just one day, one more night? Your interactions with them are intended to shape the next chapter, so you think you want a couple days in-game, or the sooner the better.
Two, before subjecting you to another chapter that I've totally wanted to play but may not be everyone's cup of tea, What are your thoughts on loosing gear?
The essential materials for your class would obviously become available in short order, cause it'd be terrible to tell an alchemist that he has to play a level with no extracts, and the wizard has no spells. To me, needing to piece together armor, and throwing together weapons, and tracking down spell components would be a lot of fun and make the coming mythic power that coming more satisfying to get.
But you guys are the ones playing, so is that something you'd be interested in? Or would you just be annoyed about loosing your gear and prefer to not deal with that aspect at all? There will be limited resources in the next bit (savage lands needing taming and all) but to what level would still be fun?
And I'm sorry about the lack of a map in the first combat. I had planned for a fight and was gearing up for it, but then found out that my grandmother was going to have a pretty major surgery and i had to fly out to California at the last minute. I didn't have my computer or any real way to make a map and was posting from my phone the whole time, and by the time i got back home 3 of the 5 enemies were hit by color-spray and the 4th just got splorp-ed by pyre and there wasn't really a point. This is not going to be the rule, but it was that or take the weekend off, which I kinda didn't want to do in that circumstance...
so I'm sorry about that, and jsut wanted to assure you all that it was due to extenuating circumstances

I enjoy engaging the npcs in conversation. It makes the ship feel more alive and the people worth caring about. I don't know about the others, but I did really feel a bit upset for the 3 crewmen who died in the grindlylow attack.
As for losing equipment, I'm not too worried if I lose all my equipment if I get to use herbs and stuff to get new extracts. Through knowledge nature or by some other means.
Desula Val'kyerin |
I like interacting with the NPC's, enhances the story. But I'm ready to move on to the next bit as well. I'll go with the flow. But just don't take my spell book.
Lady_Rosalyn_Aanya_Luminuss |
,I rote a really long post and the site eat it,
To peed off to rewrite it,
Like to new twist, slaves on the stip or are they, cool,
No to lose every thing start unless we get uped to level 3 min
If you don't pcs will die like flys in combat trust me, been there done that.
My PC losing her custum Armor and note books will realy upset her.

i'm not sure how much or how little effort you put into writing that post, but those grammar/spelling mistakes were numerous and painful
