Map of Level 1 - Updated 24/04/2012

I'm looking to recruit a party of four adventurers to play in the first level of the Purple Mountain mega dungeon. For this particular game, the mega dungeon will be set in Osirion.

Point Buy: 20, no stat higher than 20 or lower than 8 after racials
Traits: 2 per character
HP: Max + Con at first level
Gold: Average for class at first level

Sources: CRB, APG, UM, UC, PF SRD.

Deadline: 8PM GMT, Sunday 29th 2012 (28 hours from posting)

Nothing is banned but I'm looking for well-rounded characters so min-maxing will be at a disadvantage. Looking for decent role players.

this a forums one or a live via some kind of internet chat?

The Exchange

I'm interested, have a ranger concept that I might be able to flesh out tonight or tomorrow. Are you planning on continuing this as the new modules come out?

I'm down! Curious though, how do you feel about blind half-orc oracles???

lol, I had my oracle character in mind when I was asking how he was going to do it

Interested. How do you feel about non-standard races? (Looking at Vanara)

Shadow Lodge

interested..... hopefully pbp?

It will be PbP on these forums. I have no issue with a Half-Orc Oracle. Vanara doesn't really fit in Osirion, a desert climate. I'm also wary of permitting monstrous races in general.

Shadowrucker checking in with a Half-Orc Oracle ready to go.

Hobbit hospitaler paladin. May need some tweaking.

Hobbit paladin, definitely not min maxing.

nevermind on me then not because of forums though

Here's Akori, an unbreakable fighter.

A couple things about me (cynarion):

  • I am in Australia (GMT+11 with daylight savings);
  • because I'm Australian you can expect me to spell using British English rather than American English; and
  • I can commit to posts every weekday minimum, but weekends will be much more sketchy.

About Akori
Akori is meant to play as a troubled character seeking to atone for and find meaning in his horrific past. He may be prone to outbursts when pushed beyond his emotional limits, but at his heart he's a good guy. He does, however, have a strong anti-authority streak and won't deal well with anyone telling him what to do.

Tactically I see him taking punishment up the front. He could take any of a number of feat chains depending on party composition and his effectiveness, including Power Attack/Furious Focus, Combat Expertise/Improved Trip, or if an adjustment is made to his Dex, the Dodge/Mobility/Combat Reflexes/Bodyguard/Combat Patrol/Stand Still chain.

Shadow Lodge

Am new to Pathfinder, have played mostly 2e and dabbled in 4e, which was very differant than 2e.

Am thinking of a Elf or 1/2 Elf Rogue. Would that help out the party?

Windtstar

Here's what I could plunk out for a Elf Ranger (Skirmisher).

Half-Elf Arcane Sorcerer. Still need to work up a familiar, but the majority of crunch and background is there.

I'd like to play a human cleric following Cayden Cailean, kind of a brawler type. Or a dwarven ranger/rogue trapfinder/undreground artificer. If you have room. I'll type up both and see.

Lankyogre's Cleric.

Grand Lodge

I have a completely fleshed out Half-elf Rogue. 3/4 Knife master 1/4 swashbuckler.

Wil, your CMD on your character sheet I believe is invalid... Should it not be a 12 instead of a 10?

Edit: Genth, it seems you used a 4d6 rather than point buy.

My apologies, I do not mean to step on your toes Nostrus.

or Lankyogre has a rogue

Yeah, thanks for that. I wrote the whole thing up and accidentally hit back so lost it. I was trying to type things up quickly and may have missed a few things. Just like my HP were correct, but how I got there wasn't written correctly.

I've made my selection:

Gruul Omugu (Shadowrucker)
Samduc Dawnbringer (Chainmail)
Mithven Droverson (Anselth)
Verbannter (LankyOgre)

Gameplay thread will be up soon. For those that didn't make the cut, please stick around in case anyone drops out.

Due to personal reasons, we've lost our rogue. I'll throw open recruitment for a couple of days in order to grab a new one before the party head off to the lair of the evil ones. Same rules as above.

Sovereign Court

I can crunch a rogue faster than anyone, and I have a tomb-raider type in mind.

Rabzolga Tolvajsi spent most of his life in Cheliax.
As a slave.
A halfling slip among the rather grim house of Piunere, he learned early on to keep a low profile- a life skill he soon began to realize he excelled at. With a flair for the dramatic, a talent for improvisation, and a hardness born of necessity, Rab, as known by his few (and often dead) friends, quickly formed a plan to escape his life of slavery for a life of adventure, of daring, and most importantly...
Of RICHES. There was nothing- perhaps not even freedom- that drove the mildly kleptomanic Rab so strongly or so far as the glitter of riches. After a harrowing escape onboard an Aspis vessel, Rab came to the port of Sothis, where he beheld such wonders of the desert, he knew immediately he would never want to leave- and his talent for raiding the tombs of dead kings soon assured he would never have to.

Rabzolga Tolvajsi is a halfling rogue who will be mostly combat support. He's dashing and a splash charismatic, but would rather sit behind the lines and analyze situations.

I post every day, including weekends, I prefer RP, and I can have a crunch up pretty if you decide the backstory is a go- I prefer to take a look at the other characters before crunching, so I don't step on any toes. The only non-core rules I plan to use are: Inner sea world guide, Pathfinder society Field guide, advanced player's guide.

I look forward to your response =]

Sovereign Court

Oh, hey, Shadowrucker. =P Imagine meeting you here.

I like the premise and the background hooks with the setting, go ahead and roll up the crunch. I consider recruitment closed now.
